We seem to periodically get a lot of posts regarding the sale or auction of various music game machines. I thought instead of continuing to spam up the general music discussion forum, I'll just post any Bemani auctions I find in here.

BLueSS Edit: Frequently visit https://www.cyberauctions.com/index.php for local auctions in the PNW area.

Near the bottom of this article are some source recommendations for sensors.
http://rhythmarcade.com/wiki/arcade_machines/dance_sensors

I'm using these in both of my DDR cabs and can recommend them:

If anyone ever needs to place an ASP order, feel free to shoot me a PM. I can usually find something I want to buy, so we can bundle to save on shipping.

Dance Dance Revolution Arcade 3rd Mix - $75 starting bid.
Apparently cabinet and pads only; no electronics.

This one's local - Item location: Oak Harbor, Washington, United States

I will not have a house that has space for a DDR machine for years sadly, so here's to hoping this gets a good home, even if for spare parts.

This is interesting. I'll throw down a bid because, why not...but if I win I have no idea what I will do with it.

How much of the original mainboard or io cards are needed when hooking it up to a custom ITG PC?

I can't say I know, but Kyle Ward has his new stepmania x pad inserts that may overcome some of the issues. Honestly, the frame of the pads is the hardest thing to recreate (IMO). Almost everything else can be replaced by a pc and some wiring.

I know I am grossly oversimplifying things, but if I can get these parts for next to nothing, it could be a fun project.

We have a cheap ITG 2 for sale.  Has I/O problems, triggering inputs when it should not.  It is located at the B&I in Tacoma right now, first 600.00 takes it.  Also, should be mentioned, the monitor is not in great shape either.

Bill, I assume this is an upgraded DDR cab and not a dedicab, right? It's a good price though.

I'll probably be going for that 3rd Mix too if the price is low enough, bringing it down to Portland will suck though.

Yes, it is a converted cabinet.

I hope you get it. Because if I win it, I honestly don't know wtf I'll do with it.

And curious. If you are willing to drive up to get the one in Oak Harbor, I'm surprised you don't want to spend the $400 more and buy Bills working machine. It'd be a lot less hassle.

Hmm, I'm mostly scared of the I/O issues and not knowing how to repair the monitor.  I guess I'll hit him up.

Luckily the auction went higher than what I was willing to bid. =)

Good luck if any of you are still going for it.

That junk cab sold for $400+. Ridiculous. What Bill is offering is a steal by comparison.

Good call, I contacted him and asked to buy from him a few hours before the auction ended and looks like I'll be picking it up in a few weeks Smiley

Picked up the cabinet from Bill today and it's in great shape sans the monitor being pretty much a heap of junk, but I knew that going into it.  Pads in great condition, now I just need to find a monitor replacement and a Minimaid.

Bill is a good guy and I'm sure he could help you out finding where to buy a replacement. Congrats on becoming an owner.

These days, your best bet is probably to find a cab to gut. I think a bunch of old sitdown racers tend to have 27/29" CRTs. You can part the cab and take the monitor.

Anyone selling them used is going to charge the "parts price" which is pretty high these days (a few hundred). A new one will set you back $600 minimum.

Very likely, yeah.  Cash or trades for useful things are both desirable.  I'll have to test the boxor a bit more though, I didn't have any issues with the I/O that Bill mentioned.  It seems more like some of the P1 buttons just need a cleaning or replacement since they were getting stuck.  How much were you thinking (or do you happen to have a Minimaid for trade?)

There's a ITG machine in Arizona that hit ebay. The machine looks like it's had a rough life.

This looks like the same unit that sold a few weeks back. I guess the buyer copped out. No surprise. I've given up selling on eBay since there's really no protection or recourse for sellers anymore.

I wish him luck (again). Hopefully some twat won't bid a ridiculous number and then vanish.

$2,000 for an Extreme cabinet, south of Puyallup in Frederickson.
Is this a cabinet from someone in the community?

It always surprises me how many machines seem to be owned by people none of us know anything about. You'd think if you were serious enough about buying an actual arcade cabinet that you'd be posting on at least one of the bemani sites out there.

The machine looks like it is in really great condition. I'm sure people are already getting their rants ready about how overpriced it is, but what people don't understand is that the value of something is what the public perceives it to be, not what the experts think it's worth. $2000 for a DDR Extreme is overpriced to those of us who "know better", but if some rich guy comes across this ad, he's probably more than willing to drop 2k to have a sweet arcade cabinet like this in his game room.
