To my knowledge, there aren't any DE arcade machines in the PNW area (or even anywhere in the US). Unless anyone else responds otherwise, I'm probably the only person on this site who has played the arcade version of the game (outside the country). I haven't played the US console version, Dance Masters, and I don't know if anyone else has.

If you ask me, all of the Kinect-based dance games so far are pretty much the same and not very competitive, but that's just my opinion.

Actually, led, you're very correct about that. Despite being an opinion of yours, it actually is very true that most if not all of these Kinect dance games are mainly for parties, or just casual fun. None are very much for competition. For example, in Just Dance, there's no such thing as losing... just getting 1 star and having your friends tell you you suck or if you get 5 stars you're a try-hard. No losing though .-.

To my surprise, the game "Rhythm Party" is as close to a bemani-like game as I've seen for the Kinect. I bought it a while ago, and haven't played in probably a year due to an apartment with little space for using a kinect, but I remember actual grading, timing windows, and a delightful lack of "party features" found in games like Just Dance.
