- ORIGINAL POST -
With the tournament coming up, I know I need to play on an actual SuperNova machine to adjust myself to that game. Problem is, all I have up here are craptastic Extreme machines. I plan on going to Acme, but since it's almost an hour drive from my house, I won't be able to do that more than a handful of times between now and the tournament. Does anyone know of a Supernova machine closer to the Lynnwood area than the Gameworks or Acme ones?
On that note, how much is the Gameworks one, and how well does it work? If it's about the same cost, I might just head there, though parking is a bitch.

Just out of curiosity... an hour drive from Lynnwood? Granted, I was no bastion of legality when I lived up there, but it took me about half an hour to get from my place on 164th to ACME.
As for north end Supernova... hmm... I don't think I've ever heard anyone actually want to play Supernova before. Unless some of the places I used to go to have changed drastically (IE: Brunswick Lanes decided to upgrade, oh noes!) then I think it might have to be ACME.

It always took me 25 minutes to get to Acme from the University District, which is 15 minutes away from your old place, Laura. Your half-hour is either in super dead traffic + speeding, or miscalculated.
Suko, you're probably stuck with Gameworks or Acme.
Tip for GW parking: Street parking after 6 is free - so I park a few blocks away and walk. I'm not a huge/buff dude, but I've never felt unsafe walking to/from my car where I park.
LINK to where I park + walking directions via Google Maps.

Sounds good.
Know how much SN costs at Gameworks?
And how good are the pads?

1P side is possible to AAA on, though it's been giving some pad misses recently. I don't want to try the 2P side out fear.
The game costs 4.5 credits if you have a VIP card, and 5.0 if not. So I think it's like 1.20-1.50, it's
ridiculous I know.

Jon - I always took 405 instead of I-5. I do think this does actually make a difference, because while 405 has worse rush hour traffic, 5 has more cars on the road at any given time, so you're more likely to be stuck doing 50.

You must've been driving mid-day. I have a 8-5 job, so I can't go to Acme unless it's after 5 or mid-day on the weekends. Because of this, traffic isn't great no matter which highway I take. Point is, unless I want to wait until 9 PM at night, it takes nearly 1 hour for me to get to Acme from where I live on any given weeknight.

That's the difference - I used to go at 9 at night.
I was in school during the daytime at that point, similar to your hours, but I slept biphasically in college, so I took a nap from about 4-7 PM, and then another one from about 3-6 AM.
Incidentally, I've never really had a problem with 405 on weekends unless there are particularly bad conditions, like torrential downpour or multiple collisions.
