I'm pumped about this.

yay Concertino In Blue and Children's Sketchbook. Now all we need is Kaleidoscope and I'm never playing V2 again.

I'm not a GF/DM player myself, but...

Does anyone (besides the obvious) have a GF ASC? Those are pretty sweet looking.
I dunno how people could transition from the DM KOC to the Arcade, it looks impossible.

Thought I'd point out that Kaleidoscope is on GFDMV CS.

@Davyn: Looks like they'll have a few skins/wallpapers like Silver.  Most notable is the GF10/DM9 wallpaper, the blue one; so hopefully you'd be happy with that.  THey'll also probably have one more skin honouring the encore and premium encore stages, and another based off GF5th/DM4th, GF6th/DM5th, or GF7th/DM6th.

@CS:
I have a KOC Drummania kit and I can pass level 90s on it with the default bass pedal, so it is possible.

Yeah, but V CS is expensive to buy for 5 or 6 songs I want and a weird interface.

Also, I love the DM9 interface. Having that on MG would be sweet.

Hate to break it to you, but the idea behind the Masterpieces is NOT to include any songs that have been on any previous CS release, including V CS.

So yeah, it's V for Kaleidoscope.  If Kaleidoscope appears on Gold, I would be most surprised.

Besides GFDM V is arguably the best CS out there right now.

I had a problem with MS and my KOC not picking up snare hits occasionally. However, it works fine with all other releases, so I don't know what's going on then.

That's odd.  GFDM MPS is supposed to be pretty good in terms of interface accuracy; my main problem is I can't seem to calibrate it well on my friend's hi-def, so I usually play it on my own lameass TV.  However, V and V2 CS both interface fine with the hi-def with calibration.  But I haven't been having snare troubles (at least nothing serious or that I've recognized).

Yo.

Yeah $55 is a little pricey.  Anyhow, as long as you take good care of it (under penalty of paying to replace it if you don't), I would be willing to lend you my GF KOC.

1) Get Guitar Hero controller and cheap 3rd party PS2 controller.
2) It is huge, that means it has huge guts! RIP AND TEAR!
3) Resolder the GH buttons onto the controller. (One grounded, one to a solder point.
4) Reassemble.
5) ...
6) PROFIT!

I already have a KOC so I wouldn't need to do that ^_^;;; I got mine in Japan and it was only like 2500 yen.  But I think that might be a good process for anyone who doesn't have that opportunity available to them.

i dont think i want to deal with the soldering. cynic, you think if i paid you and gave you the parts to do it you would see it through?

@Chris:  thanks for the offer... i might not be able to get to PG for another week so maybe i would be better off borrowing yours for awhile.  I can provide collateral if needed and if you dont trust me (since you dont know me too well) i understand

Collateral would be a plus.  Just let me know when/where ya want to do it (please PM me the details; no reason for everyone else to be reading that).

The guitar hero controller's pick is really bad for guitar freaks. it has extremely delayed input and makes double picking pretty much impossible. Sad

AlphaConqerer
Read February 09, 2007, 05:43:14 PM #20

I thought that was only for V2 CS?  As for GFDMV, you can't double-pick with a GHero controller, period.

well thats even worse Tongue

Masterpiece Silver should still work fine with a GHero controller and with double-picking, just to clarify.  Only major problem is the songwheel will scroll upwards constantly while it is plugged in on the song select screen.

yes masterpiece silver is the only one i can play and it does the constant scroll in the song select and does seem to have a delay when double picking :C

Well in any case you should have my KOC soon to practice with, heh =D
