Sometimes when I tell people/friends that we should go "
play
" DDR or ITG, it just sounds so lame to me. I know that this is the correct thing to say, but is there a better way to word something like "playing a game" without using the word play? I know this probably sounds ridiculous to some people, but sometimes I get the feeling people write us off as even bigger nerds because we "play" DDR. I dunno if this is making any sense, but if you are following me, does anyone have any suggestions?

Best line ever.
You should have told him to tell his friend to contact you sometime; the scene needs more people who don't phail.

This one time I was at Putters, and this 12 year old looking kid was playing on standard, so I asked him if he could show me how to play. So he put me on begginer and while he was picking a song I secretly pushed down down down down to get to heavy. The song started and I was like "What does Heavy mean?" pointing to the bottom of the screen and he was all like "GOODNESS LEMME DO IT YOU'LL FAIL!?!?!?!" and I was like "Nah, Lemme just trying." And afterwards he was like "YOU'RE A LIAR."
The End.

Yeah, I know how that goes.
I impressed some chicks at Avalon by playing Doubles on DMX and freestyling it up.
EDIT: I just want to point out that that's significant and almost relevant because DMX isn't an impressing-people sort of game, unless you have huge tits and move them skillfully. The relevance is that I went to play DDR. That is all the relevance there is.

99 times out of 100, playing DMX on any sort of upper difficulty makes you look like a flaming retard. And Para Para? What American girl that doesn't want to be Japanese thinks that's omgfapfaphot?
True story. One of the reasons I don't play it regularly.
"What are you doing?"
'Playing DanceManiax'
"What do you do?"
'Wave your hands/arms/dick over different sensors'
"How is that dancing?"
'Good question.'
Same thing applies to DDR, I don't even try to argue that it's dancing or resembles dancing because it doesn't. Knee drops, matrix walks, and launching over a bar on R2 or Matsuri Japan Trick Little (Y'ALL KNOW) don't make a freestyle.

"I'm gonna go pump it up, I'll be back"
and do a crappy impression of Arnold, that wouldn't totally make you look like a total flamer

Third time I read that, I finally noticed the dick and lolled.
I use my hair.
It's only impressive to people who've tried it and aren't as good as you.
Which is why I only play it when I see other people doing worse than me.

The dick brings the lulz.

"I'm going to play really fast Simon Says."
That's the best thing I've heard all day. I just say "I'm going to ITG", I generally leave play out of it. But its not like its a problem anyhow, we do what we like to do, and if people have a problem with "play" then its their problem, not ours
