ORIGINAL THREAD WAS HERE: http://www.pnwbemani.net/bemani-discussion/pnw-simfiles/30/
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

I figured I'd make a thread for those of us in the PNW who've made custom stepcharts. I'd like to see local charts posted here for download, review, sharing, and (hopefully constructive) criticism. I'd also like to see any custom charts from local tournaments eventually get posted to this thread too. I look forward to seeing what everyone has to offer.

I'll start things off by sharing two some charts I've recently written.

Update: You can find all my charts at http://techno-hut.com/download/suko_stepcharts/

Summer party by Smile.DK

Don't Cry, baby by SoundTeMP | Ragnarok Online

As always, comments, constructive criticism, and bug/error reports are always welcome!

Here's my first simfile Smiley Heard this one at work, and had to make a stepfile to it, her voice and melody of the song makes it a great pick for ITG. I won't be cranking too many simfiles out unless I feel an absolute urge to make it, this one has a pretty good deal of hands and a smiley face of mines at the start. i can't wait to play this on the pad. Smiley Download it, have fun, and let me know what you think! Smiley Smiley

One - Sky Ferriera
Expert: 10 (it's an easy 10 but harder than a 9)

this is a huge long shot, I've reformatted my comp a few times but for some reason my stepmania songs did not make it onto my external, which they usually do, the link provided in the OP is dead, no one would happen to have this one I made 3 years ago would they? I was planning to submit it for spergin xD

Has anyone ran across a file of the Song 8-bit superhero by Excision? Every time I listen to it, I cannot help but see arrows, and think it would be so much fun to dance to! I would really love to play it, but I have never made a simfile myself.

Let me know! I want to play it so baddddd
I might have to make it myself If I cant find one, and that will turn into a whole new set of questions. haha

Whew, I got it done by Christmas! Here's a Christmas-themed stepchart I wrote for all to enjoy. It's my first pass, but I think it's still good enough to share. Expect minor tweaks and an expert chart in the next few weeks.

I don't think I posted these anywhere on this forum, but I had done on ZIv and a lot of these were shared on the StepMania forums before there was a major changeover there. These are all old and not all super professionally done, but you might like them. They were made under various names because I've had the unfortunate habit of switching aliases fairly frequently over the years. Yes, some of these are quite a few years old. These couple of individual ones are significantly newer, but again, I'm still not the greatest when it comes to step design...

https://ia601407.us.archive.org/15/items/ChickChick/Chick%20Chick.zip

https://ia601402.us.archive.org/27/items/BandaikuIbentoSenDDREdit/Bandaiku%20-%20Ibento-sen%20%5bDDR%20edit%5d.zip

And this is a pack of the oldest files I'd done. Ibento-sen might be included in here as well.

https://ia902607.us.archive.org/2/items/blastlocketandhispastlives/blastlocket%20and%20his%20past%20lives%20%28a%20song%20pack%20for%20StepMania%29.zip

"blastlocket" is my current handle on ZIv because I was never able to change it, but I imagine I would have quite a few times by now if I could, but anyway...

Also, feel free to edit these further and polish them up if you think there's any chance they could make it onto the Narrows/Acme ITG machines. That would be cool to see...

In addition to the new charts, I've gone back and tweaked (fixed) a lot of my older charts so that they're better. The notable ones are "Let Me See Your Love" and Chain, but many of my older charts got slightly tweaked for the better. As always, you can download my charts here, or at Zenius-I-Vanisher.

Well, he did say 'full singles and doubles difficulties'.
So he did. I didn't see that. Still not sure what DP would stand for...Doubles Play?

Yeah, that's right. I forgot that not everyone uses these DDR abbreviations:

BSP - Basic Singles Play
DSP - Difficult Singles Play
ESP - Expert Singles Play
CSP - Challenge Singles Play

and similarly BDP, DDP, EDP, CDP for Doubles.

That's great that you wrote doubles charts. I have dabbled in writing doubles a little bit, but it just seems so cumbersome. However, I really enjoy playing doubles! I'll try and remember to put them on my machine at some point and give'em a whirl.

Don't worry, most of the time, I feel the same way too. I know that doubles charts require much more effort to make, which is why a good number of my files recently are singles-only. In the case of this pack, I finished the doubles charts months after I finished the singles charts.

Also, be warned that all of my files are made for SM and might not be optimized for ITG machines (I don't have access to one so I wouldn't know).

I've been making these and refining them over the last few months. They got done in time, so I will be submitting them for use in SMH 2017.
