I just can't afford $1 per game to play a game I'm not very good at on a cruddy machine.

J/w, how'd you learn how to play DDR?

Maybe the DDR machines he practiced on were comparatively non-cruddy?

Home version.  It took me 2 years of owning a copy of DDRMAX and a softpad before I got to 6's.  After that, it took me 5 weeks to get to 9's and another 5 to get to easy 10's.

I first played DDR at the arcade April last year.

Then get the home version first. It'll be cheaper than the $1 you'd have to pay to play Pro each time.

It's pretty cheap too. The soft pad that comes with the game is *very good* for a soft pad, although not by your scale.  Tongue
EB Games for $17 (probably without pad, but has to be cheap also)
or
$25 with pad on Amazon

I'm sure it'd be cheap on Ebay as well.

I can make my own pad.  The Pump pads are even easier to do than the DDR pads.

Also, $1 is fine if the machine's good, because I can play up to 8's and 9's.  I just don't want to pay $1 per game if the machine's going to fall apart in the middle of my second song. ;P

Despite how much I wanna play it, I'm not gonna bus for an hour and a half to the ferry, pay for the ferry, take the ferry for 2 hours +, bus into Nanaimo.. and then play PiU.. hehe.  My Grandparents live on the island though, maybe ill play next time i visit them.  Thanks for the heads up.

Bad news (for me): the place with the PIU machine on freeplay here?  They're relocating to Salem. T_T

BUMP BUMP SKIBBETY BUMP

I don't know if you guys check the club or not but you need to log in 5 times a month to remain as an "active" member. Also feel free to upload any media involving you and Pump It Up. It can't just be tons of videos of me on there. Tongue So far I've found using straight MPEG works best for keeping it on sync. The WMV I tried never finished encoding (Mykl yours didn't either so I had to delete it), even after a week had passed. I haven't tried AVI yet but if it works it would be sweet if you could post what codec you used.

http://club.piugame.com/nwstep there ya go.

Also request this thread be renamed and un-polled. Or maybe I can make a new one.

Is anyone else unable to submit posts on piugame?

The submit button doesn't work.  I've tried it 5 times on 2 different days.

FYI: FIREFOX DOESN'T WORK WITH ANY PUMP IT UP SITE.

You have to use IE.

That's good to know.  I might risk opening it if I have something important to contribute to the club.

That is the correct link to the club. Maybe there was some down time or something, but the link in Davyn's post is correct.

Bump for great justice.

And to point out that there's this "IE Tab" extension for Firefox that allows you to load a page in Firefox using IE's code, so you can stay in FF and browse any site in IE at the same time. 8-)

Do you know where I can find this?

I might even start playing GunBound again if I can get that.

Crosspost from the club front page:

AM has posted some more info about nationals and the new junior division. The General division has no age limit, meaning someone in the Junior age limit can enter General if they want, but they cannot enter Junior as well. The Junior division is just limited to the National tournament, there is no Junior division in the WPF. There are two Junior divisions for each gender (male and female): 12-14 and 15-17 years old. Approved clubs in the top 10% for point amounts can send 2 freestyle teams and 3 speeders for each division, 11-40% can send 1 freestyle team and 2 speeders for each division, and the rest can send 1 in each category. The location and prize details (aside from travel to WPF07 for the male and female speed and freestyle winners) have not been announced yet.

They still say each nation needs 10 approved clubs to be eligible for WPF, and the deadline for that is now May 30th. The US currently has 8 approved clubs. We are in 5th place as far as points go.

I think we could probably split the PNW.  We've got, like, 23 people, don't we?
