I'm pretty sure he is too. he seems to imply alot of things about zeppy (zeppy doesn't like your posts' possibly an indirect way of saying you don;t? tho thats abvious by now) and iori as well likes to be an ass.
also, I'm going to try to make it up there, but seeing as i live in spokane, and am not old enough to drive, chances = low

Same person.

Anyway, Sean (starfalcon) will be there too... not sure how many of you know who he is, but he's quite good at Pump.
Who's sean gonna ride with? I dunno, I hope he is ready to make some more edits for ITG3 :>

WTF?  Is the crack pipe being passed around here?  I personally applaud Kyle's efforts at keeping this community alive.  Is it not obvious that konami does not fill the needs of the players wishes?  With Super Nova being such a turd and all......................

Andamiro does fill the needs of the players, though. A combination of ITG and Pump will most likely appeal to very few people. Many current ITG players hate the 5 panel design, and many Pump players hate ITG. The group who would like a combination of both is quite small.

Also, the charts written by Kyle Ward currently do not seem to flow well. Stepchart flow is key to a good 5 panel game.

Super Nova

This isn't about DDR. In The Groove served to fill a void left by Konami after stopping the arcade DDR series for almost 2 years with no sign of another release coming out. It addressed many complaints of DDR players and did a good job of that. It achieved popularity initially by being the only new four arrow game for people to play.

But the ITG community and PIU community are two different things.

PIU players don't have any complaints with the game. We're happy the way it is. This game doesn't address any needs of PIU players. Whatever Ward did to "serve" the community doesn't apply here at all.

If you're considering purchasing this for Acme I'd hold a poll beforehand to see if anyone actually wants it.

Which ones?  Personally, I think they're too conservative so far, with minimal crossovers and nothing really insane thrown in.  None of the charts I watched looked doublesteppy during streams, and they followed the music well.  My concern is Kyle and Foy are afraid to make the new charts too hard because of their inexperience with making 5 panel charts.

Also, a lot of Pump charts are very awkward.  Shake It Up CZ anyone?

And Pump has been sued before. Don't talk out of your ass. You do that a lot, and the forums reek of idiocy already.

The wrongness of this statement needs highlighted.  Konami and Andamiro settled on that one, Andamiro can do whatever the hell they want until the end of time when it comes to dance games, as long as they pay royalties to Konami.  Which is why they had no problem acting as a manufacturer for ITG.

Finally checked some of the videos and the charts are kind of bland from what I've seen.  Summer had nothing particularly interesting pattern-wise, it just did a a lot of 121314-type runs and alternated which foot stays on a single panel, when much more interesting things are completely reasonable at that speed in Pump.  Stop and Go looks like the crossovers are forced into the chart; UR-LR-LL turns you away from the screen too much when it's done outside of a run (I don't know about everyone else, but I tend to process patterns further in advance during runs, meaning a bit more turning is fine) and over half the crossovers were done exactly like that from what I could tell.  July Euromix actually looks like a decent amount of fun, the crossovers appear to have been planned out a lot better, though it'd be a lot better without the rolls.  I didn't check videos other than these since I'm kind of busy right now, but Stop and Go is terrible and Summer needs some work.

I'll probably go and check the game out sometime, but based on what I'm seeing in these videos, I think Pump is better left in the hands of the Andamiro staff.

Man you guys are dumb.
I don't like the idea of pump pro. It doesn't mean I go out of my way to pick apart every single flaw in it without ever seeing it.  Not that I feel like giving it a chance, 5 panel isn't my thing and neither is ITG as far as what it was relative to DDR.
Oh the opposite defending side is overboard too.  I think matt is the only person to have played this that posts here?  Other than him, I don't see how anyone can argue for anything.

sup bump

edit: yes i said pump pro is ITG with 5 panels, and as far as I can tell, there's absolutely nothing that makes me want to change my stance on that statement Smiley

I did play it. I hated it. There's several reason why but the biggest was the fact that they changed tons of charts for the original songs (they took out almost all BPM changes and a lot of the beginnings of charts. One song didn't have steps until about 10 seconds after it's supposed to start.)

well that sucks. I've been optimistic, but if it bears the PiU name, it should keep the same charts.
Now, instead of complaining about stuff here (this is not directed to any one person by the way...) i think a good idea would be to mention these to Kyle Ward over on his site. There's not much time before all of these ideas will become invalid.
Also, i have yet to play Pi^ or any other PiU game, so keep that in mind when you read my comments regarding this game. my opinions come from what I've heard and what i've assumed, as well as what i know from ITG and Kyle Ward.

this just makes me want to change my mind even less about calling it "5 panel ITG"
It isn't pump with ITG attributes, it's ITG with pump songs and an extra panel.
but yeah seriously i'm not a super fan of either game so neither option isn't the most appealing to me =P

Using that in anyway to backup your argument automatically discredits anything worth reading you had posted earlier.

I think we can all agree that Pump Pro is where it's at.  IT SAYS SO ON THE INTERNET.

I think Pump Pro will be good for ITG players, and pentry level 5-panel players, since it apparently provides an easier interface, and gives us colors according to timing ^_^! PiU will have to wait until 'm better at 5-panel.
