Last time I went was in August to buy a cab.  Apparently they were clearing them out so they could buy new cabs with LCDs and such, maybe they have them in already with some new stuff.  They had a nice Beatmania Troopers, and a barely playable DDR Supernova.

They also had random mixes of these games:

Taiko Drum Master
Drummania
Guitar Freaks
Beatmania

I don't really think it's worth stopping there though, CHQ is a much better choice.

LMAO yeah, CHQ is a better choice if you want to burn alive. Crowded, too loud, too warm, no IIDX, broken as fuck DM? I think I'll pass and go to E-spot.

Updated the first post with the music games here as of 8/13/11.

CHQ is good if you want to play Jubeat. (like I do!)

Thanks for that name, Laura.

As much as E-spot had lots of IIDX and DM/GF, I didn't stay very long as I don't play either of those much. The machines were VERY LOUD and in good working condition, so it's a great place to play if you like LOUD.

E-Spot moved this year from the old location between Aberdeen and Lansdowne to a new location near Aberdeen, on the north side of Cambie Rd, next to President Plaza (where the old Osaka supermarket was, I think). I and someone else have been updating the Zenius entry for it:

https://zenius-i-vanisher.com/v5.2/arcade.php?id=1602#summary

it currently has GFDMV8 in excellent condition, GFDMV7 (last I tried the cymbal was completely broken, didn't check it again today as the V8 cab is just perfect), IIDX 13 and IIDX 17, DDR X, Danz Base, Keyboardmania 3rd (yeah, they *still* have this!), popnmusic 20 fantasia, REFLEC BEAT (though the other guy says it's busted, I haven't checked if they've fixed it), and Taiko 12. Plus a bunch of driving and fighting games, a bunch of Bishi Bashi, lots of gacha, and one of those karaoke booth cabs that's getting popular in Asia lately.

They have been gradually setting up more and more cabs since moving, but there are still quite a lot sitting around in heaps, not plugged in, including their old non-DX Beatmania cab. Presumably some or all of those will get set up properly as time goes on.

It's definitely the best place to play GFDM in Greater Vancouver, now. CHQ hasn't had a GFDM for years for some reason, Aberdeen Centre has one but it's in substantially worse condition. There's supposedly one in the weird little arcade in Tinseltown, but that place almost never seems to actually be open. I don't play dancing games so I don't know how good it is for those compared to CHQ. If any GFDM folks are still out there, come play! It's kinda lonely always being the only one there, plus I don't want the place to shut down  Grin

Most excitingly for me - according to their Facebook, they're getting Gitadora in December! I'm so happy I might've peed a bit...

E-Spot now has a bunch of new rhythm games:

Gitadora Matixx
IIDX 25 (Cannon Ballers)
crossbeats Sunrise
DanceEvolution
Groove Coaster 4
jubeat clan
Museca 1+1/2
popnmusic usaneko
NOSTALGIA Op. 2 (I think? possibly Forte)
Reflec Beat 悠久のリフレシア

all up and running as of 2018-12-21. e-amusement functionality is working on a private network (for all but Gitadora, support expected next month).
