Entry Fee: none
Format: double-elimination
Facebook event: https://www.facebook.com/events/1403110683033172/

Ruleset:
-During matches, higher seed chooses whether to pick the song 1st or 2nd. Players alternate in choosing what song and difficulty is played, including Extra Stage (if earned). The moment that the set ends, the SUM OF ALL SCORES is totaled for both players and the winner will be one with the higher number.
-A player cannot choose the same song more than once during the tourney, even if it’s a different difficulty.
-For the sake of local skill range, 17 will be the difficulty cap. Meaning 18s and 19s would not be selectable.
-All packs, including unlockable songs and Extra Exclusives may be chosen on any difficulty as long as it does not exceed the cap.

Seeding Method:
Tournament seeding will be based off your total score of these two songs
Trim expert - 16 in Supernova 2
Gaia expert - 16 in DDR 2013
.
Please PM or post a pic of "only" your Total Result screen that includes you attempting both songs once within the same set (example of said screen https://tinyurl.com/jdzoyhr)
You don't have to pass either song; just your best set including that pair of songs is requested.
You can also submit a song result screen from ITG for seeding, if you don't have convenient access to Round1 but happen to be near ITG that has both songs and a theme which displays all song stats simultaneously from the set, like Simply Love.
As with the doubles tournament last year, qualifier submissions will be due the day before the tourny and seeding will be posted the morning of the tourny. Also as before, you do not need to submit a qualifier score to participate, but if you don't then you will be seeded below everyone who did attempt the songs and in the order that you arrive at the event.

Do we just submit our qualifier scores here? Is there/will there be a facebook event page?

Forgot to include that event link. I just updated the first post.
Scores for seeding can be submitted wherever it's most convenient. I'll have an excel sheet on the side to track/update submissions.

I appreciate you organizing these tournaments. Will this one be live streamed at all? I'm interested in watching it, but I think my tournament participation days are mostly over for me. Round 1 is just so far south that I never get any practice time on DDR A and I've got to be honest with myself, I'm just not as young as the rest of you. With work, commute and other responsibilities, I just can't keep up anymore.

I look forward to seeing how this goes. I hope it's awesome with good participation.

I don't have the equipment to live stream :x
Maybe I could try to recruit the help of Chris or SaraEzgi for assistance with that, after the event date is finalized.

Isn't it possible to use a smart phone and a tripod? Perhaps just record the finals and post it to Youtube later. That'd be cool, too.

Filming the finals should be easy.

There's a finalized date now, so if even you don't plan to participate, it's possible to plan ahead and come spectate potentially.

Hey. I'm starting to upload things now.. Youtube is taking much longer than I recall things taking in the past though. [channel link]

There will be 7 videos total from Sunday.

I definitely couldn't keep up. Very impressive. I see Matt so rarely, but always seems to do so well at the tournaments.
