Hey guys, it's been awhile since we've done this, so:

I propose a December round-robin air hockey tournament. $5.00 entry fee, winnings split 60/40 1st/2nd.

I am thinking that ACME is the best place for this, but if anyone has any other input, definitely post your ideas.

It would probably take place on a Friday or Saturday night-- Right now I'm thinking the weekend after next. Again, ideas are welcome.

I think you should use DMN's tourney rules. They seem to be really popular!

Nice title.

Also I'm in for sure, even though I suck! Of course, it would probably have to be the Friday, because I'll kind of be in England on the day after that.

See, I was thinking Round Robin Air Hockey Tournament and THEN burgers, and it all sort of got mixed up in my mind. Tongue

Anyway, if nobody objects, I propose:

7:30 PM tournament at ACME on Friday, December 14th. Entry fee is $5.00. Each player plays each other player-- 1 point for a win, no points for a loss, and each player gets a point for a tie. Winner is determined by number of points, and if there are ties, the tied players will face off until a winner is determined. Entry fees are split 60/40, 1st/2nd, and then we all go out for food afterwards if the desire to do so is there.

Obviously, this format calls for an even number of people, so please post in this thread if you are participating.

(I am participating).

(I have my doubts about that)

Additionally, an odd number of players can be mathematically proven to work with a round robin format, knowing the player count ahead of time isn't necessary (just nice to know, so keep posting anyway).

I was gonna go, but my mom doesn't want me going out to Acme at 7:30 the day before I leave to England.

Well, I guess you can't win them all.
