February 14, 2010, 11:56:51 PM - ORIGINAL POST -

There's a place in Bellevue where you pay 11 dollars an hour to jump on trampolines. The whole floor is a series of trampolines. The walls are also trampolines. Further, there's a room where you can play dodgeball - ON TRAMPOLINES. It's basically the coolest thing ever.

I've been here with a few different people from this site, and we all pretty much agree that it's awesome and there needs to be a PNW trampoline gathering. Further, this place just got a DDR 5th mix machine! The sensors are fairly terrible, but the 1p side is playable and it's only 50 cents for 3 songs.

There was talk of going here on Saturday night in my tournament thread, but honestly, even if the tournament doesn't end up happening next Saturday, we should still all probably go to this place to jump on trampolines and throw balls at each other. It's open until midnight, and I find that it's more fun later in the evening (IE: 10 to close or so) because there aren't tiny children at that hour.

So yeah - trampolines next Saturday?

Holy sh*t, a 5th Mix machine and trampoline dodge ball!? I think this place just beat out Disneyland as the happiest place on earth.

Looks like the tournament at PG is going to be the following week, so maybe a bunch of us could just meet up in Bellevue and then go to this place. I'd even offer to let people come to my place beforehand for Pop'n, since it's a fairly convenient meeting location (2 blocks from Bellevue Transit Center, ample parking.)

Totally! Cheap nachos! And Keby can order six quesadillas.

Mmmmmhm, six quesadillas and some liquid crack

Seriously guys, this was way too funny. They asked Keby how many quesadillas he wanted (as in, large plates,) and he thought they were asking for the number of slices... and did, in fact, attempt to order six plates of quesadilla. Tongue

Anyway, one idea: let's go to Applebee's AFTER we jump on trampolines this time. I don't know about you guys, but French Onion Soup + Margaritas sloshing around in my stomach was a little bit of a downer to an otherwise perfect evening. <3

Oregon needs one of those trampoline places.  You had me at "the walls are trampolines".  Sounds more fun than padded rooms!  And then when you said they have dodgeball, too...

I would love to go jump on trampolines.   Grin

Although I definitely agree with Laura that food needs to be AFTER trampolines.  (I tried to do yoga tonight with two giant pieces of chocolate cake in my stomach, and that went very poorly.  I can't imagine mozzarella sticks and bouncing.)

What time would we meet up, and who is seriously coming to this amazingness?

I'm going to be there for sure! We just need a place and a time to meet up

I'll probably be at Pink Gorilla early in the day, so if anyone wants to meet up there, that's cool. That said, if we're all going to do this at, say, 9 pm, we should probably not plan on ALL meeting at PG at 2 pm or whatever. We could either all drive to Sky High separately and meet there AT 9, or, like I said earlier, people are welcome to gather at my house at 8:30 so that carpooling can be arranged (especially if people who are going to Applebee's afterward are also intending on taking advantage of happy hour drinks - even if the law says you can be at .08, I would rather facilitate everyone who's driving being at .00!)

So yeah... my miraculous recovery reversed itself and I STILL have a cold. I'd probably be fine to hang out at Applebees later, but there's no way I can jump on anything. :< I'd just as soon postpone this to next week (after the Pink Gorilla tournament) but it's up to you guys!

Wear shorts, or else your pants will rip down the ass. I speak from personal experience on this issue.

Woah.  Forget the DDR.  This place sounds friggin amazing.  Although some Tribal Dance and Moonlight Shadow doubles couldn't hurt...

We will have to get a group together and go sometime! Sadly, I'm probably out until next month because flu season slammed me again.

Neko, you sound awesome and I look forward to meeting ya. Unfortunately, I believe it's a SN2 now instead of 5th mix.

So sad...so very sad. But hey, that's what the 5th Mix theme is for on my ITG machine. Lets rock it like it's 2001!

I believe the last time I was there, the SuperNova2 was gone.  There was no DDR machine of any kind to be found. =(

The pads were really horrible, though, so it's not too great a loss.  But what a great place to work up a crowd on Groove 2001.

Can somebody update the machine conditions for Sky High to reflect the changes?
