Hey all!

It's Catherine from Victoria; I'm unsure if any of you remember me, but I was in the ITG tournament at Sakura Con along with a few others from my city.

A few of us BC folk will be down in Seattle for a day or two this weekend. There's a national Pokemon tournament running, and it's fairly close to where Sakura Con was held. We're probably not going to be playing pokemon for the entire time, so I thought I'd see if anyone would like to meet up?

I think it would be nice to see some of you guys again; I really didn't plan to come back to Seattle so soon, either.

Neither of us are really familiar with the area, so if anyone is interested in hanging out either of those days, maybe we could get a little bit of help for directions?

Heya! I'd love to hang with you guys! I'll be out of school on thursday so this is perfect. I don't know what you guys are doing later at night on saturday, but a bunch of kids including me do this thing just about every weekend where we go play ITG down at acme then go jump on trampolines at this place called jump sky high

Here's a link to see what it's like.
Diego - SKY HIGH SPORTS - Bellevue

And then we head to applebees after that for some eats.
So if you guys are interested. definitely come along with us. It's super AWESOME unadulterated AWESOME.

yep we will be coming to Seattle those days.

We are also interested in doing some sight-seeing as well.
Are there any recommendations on some "must visit" places around in town?
Example: Space Needle etc. ?  Smiley

I'm very tempted to come join you guys on Friday...but I'm getting my new PC's parts in that night and I'm extremely tempted to put it together on the spot.  Cry

RIDE THE MONORAIL!

While you're at the Space Needle, check out the Pacific Science Museum. It's a blast! Also, the Experience Music Project/Sci-Fi Museum is worth visiting. And those are all right next door to each other.

Pike's Market is a pretty cool place, too. It's worth checking out simply to get "into" the city and see some cool stuff.

If you want to see the worlds largest structure, you can come up to Paine Field in Everett to see the Boeing Manufacturing Plant where they assemble those huge airliners.

Oh wow, I had no idea this thread even got any replies; I guess this site doesn't give notifications? lol

I'm glad to hear that a couple of you are already able to make it; I apologize again for doing this on such short notice!

So far we have 5 people confirmed to come: myself, Rob (lardo4life), and Greg (Escad) from Victoria, and Way & Tony from Vancouver. I'm not sure if any of you have met the Vancouver players before.. Way still plays ITG and Tony doesn't really play much anymore, but him and Way were probably tied for Vancouver's best FA players once upon a time.

I believe Rob and Greg will be in Seattle on Friday night, but Tony, Way, and I won't be in town until Saturday at around noonish, depending on how long the wait at the border is. We're gonna be going to the pokemon tournament right away, but it'll only be 3-4 hours, leaving the late afternoon and evening free for all of us. Smiley

Kevin: I'm totally down for trampolines, and it doesn't look like anyone else is too opposed to the idea either! I've never been to Applebee's either, so I'd definitely be willing to try it out.

So.. maybe we can exchange some numbers through PMs, or set some sort of time and place to meet?
The pokemon tournament is going to be here: 321 Mercer Street Seattle, WA 98109; we'll be finished there between 4-5pm.
I'm not sure how close your arcade is to that, but I was told that it's walking distance (which would be great!).

TRAMPOLINESSSSSSSS

So I'm gonna make it there on Friday night, hopefully with Greg.  Is there a usual place everyone plays at?  Is anyone playing ITG that night?

Also, anyone know of any stores that sell older games?   Roll Eyes

Sweet sweet. Well, I can tell you that the only arcade within walking distance of that location is the seattle center arcade.

It's got a broken 5th mix and an extreme last time I checked.

Umm....Our ITG machine is located at this place called ACME Bowl. It's a little ways from seattle. About a 30 minute drive without traffic. Even less if you speed a bit. But we meet up there. here's the address to get an idea.

100 andover park W.

And yeah! I'll send you my number through a PM or facebook or something.

That's pretty sad keby that you don't consider gameworks within walking distance of mercer.  It can't be further than a mile.

GW has a couple different DDR machines and a popn and a gf dm or something like that.  I dunno

I don't know what I'm talking about

Guess what?
It is a mile.

It's probably a little more or a little less.
I don't care though, because are canadian friends here are probably not up for walking a mile to play on a crappy supernova and an extreme that only has one side working.

Anyways.

We usually meet at ACME around 6-8ish....correct guys?
play for an hour or two and go jump on tramps later because there is usually a TON of people in the early evening.

Ok so I've confirmed it, me and Greg are coming tomorrow night.  We're gonna hit Pink Gorilla (university district) when we get to Seattle, and when I'm done blowing money there we're gonna head to Acme Bowl and play ITG until they close.

Are there any other places like Pink Gorilla?  Me and Greg aren't gonna play ITG all day on Saturday, so I wanna go check Seattle out a bit.
