May 10, 2010, 09:38:11 AM - ORIGINAL POST -

Some people from my old community in New England are saying that they think they could take us in ITG.

"That's funny. The only people I've heard of from the PNW area are Suko and Amber. And judging from the tournament videos I've seen, The only people that made it to the top are Kevin and people from Vancouver. I'm pretty sure me, James, Reen, and some kids from the Cape can take on Seattle ITG anytime." -some scrub (David Lee/9-Volt)

"Maybe you're Seattle goons can help? yah champ? No? Ok." -another scrub (Manny)

So who is up for this challenge?

Hmmm. I'm surprised that they've heard of me...

I've been so focused on my DDR AAA's lately that I must admit, I'm no ITG "beast". At least, not like Keby, James, Gerrack, etc. My expertise is high accuracy on the lower charts. Soooooooooo, if they want a <10 no bar challenge, I could bring it! =D

Btw, what happened to Amber. I haven't seen or heard from her since she popped in at the PG tournament.

She moved. I think to the central/eastern side of the country...

I think she's just doing an internship in Chicago.  But someone else can confirm that...

Sure I'm up for the challenge.

Sara how good are these people at ITG anyways?

range from 9-14's?

can they even do 14's?

And yes, Amber moved to Illinois. I think she's back this week for a visit.

this

but they're probably still right =/ you guys didn't know this?
I mean, lately there's been a HUGE improvement in the ITG scene in the PNW (Keby, Gerrak, James has stepped shit up too), but we're still a ways behind. same for DDR, actually. I don't know much about the New England scene (unless that counts New Jersey and PA, it shouldn't though), but yeah, they probably could wipe the floor with the PNW.

But I'm glad you're seeing it as a challenge and not as a dis. That's a step in the right direction for sure. In the past when I tried to challenge players in Portland, they usually just said "oh, I'm not good because of x reason" or whatever. But fuck that. You're not going to let those chowder-eating fucknuts style on you, are you? No. Hell no.

/end lack-of-sleep rant

See I'm curious because of this.
I'm sure New England could wipe the floor with us in DDR, but ITG just might be another story. As far as I know. There isn't a hardcore ITG scene there from what I've heard.

If the "Reen" in the OP is the SteveReen I'm thinking of, take a look at your odds.

SteveReen - DRAGONFORCE MARATHON part 1 - Inside the Winter Storm

I don't keep tabs on all this stuff for nothing, hahahah

also, I'm surprised that came from Dave, he doesn't strike me as that confrontational. and also, I shared a hotel room with that guy for nearly a week so I know he also knows me from the PNW. then again I haven't played ITG in a long time now.

Wow. He's pretty good.
I've never tried any of these dragonforce songs. I'll have to give them a shot.
Your not kidding though. The odds are stacked against us.

I don't think they're any different from the Canadian player's. So far this guy has stamina and speed, but I don't know how well his timing is on 140-160bpm songs. I think we can take them. Don't get me wrong this guys good. If your intimidated by them already, I don't think you have a chance to win anyway. MAN UP OR STFU :O

New England Vs. PNW? BRING IT lol

Check out the rest of his videos. He is pretty good.

Thing is I haven't seen any scores from him in months, but I'm just saying don't count these guys out. I'm not trying to make you feel intimidated, just prepared.

Oh, I know he is. And don't worry, it would be a huge mistake if I or anybody else did underestimate them. I'm really hoping we do get to play them because then I'll have something I can look forward to and train my ass off.

We need more shit like this, its been awhile since anything good has really happened for the ITG scene besides the most recent stuff.

That made me laugh so hard outloud.  Oh my god, hahahha.

I moved here 2 years ago from New England, and I was with that community for about 7 years or so.  I dated their best player, Rob Stevens.

There isn't much of an ITG scene there at all.  I would assume we could easily take them in ITG.  DDR would be more difficult, but definitely an interesting match.  Most of the people in NE have just stopped playing or don't play very often.  But they can probably still pull some very decent scores.

Doubtful that any of them would make it out here, but it would be a cool tournament to have if they did.

Honestly, if it came down to actual matches, I'm pretty sure I would destroy most of New England at DDR. You can tell them that, sign it with a kiss from discovolante, no homo.

If we're just going to be comparing past scores, yeah, I don't have any really good boss songs yet, but maybe that'll change soon.

I think we can take them. I'm not intimidated by that one kid yet.
though he can pass dragonfarce songs. He isn't consistently combo-ing everything.

I mean come on.

Tuan and I got the speed down and endurance.
Gerrak and James got the timing on 9's 10's and 11's along with the endurance also.

I think were covered in terms of ITG.

He says to join AIJ and get on the ITG Ranking ladder. You can challenge people and stuff.

Go do that.
