So, anyone want to do some more karaoke soon?

I'm not sure how many blocks, but it's not too far from where the B&I is.  If you stand at the doors to the arcade entrance from the outside, go out to the sidewalk, turn right, and follow that road and down maybe 3-5 blocks or so, there's a place with carpets in the window on the same side in a, I don't know what you call it, but there's multiple small businesses and there should be a big sign somewhere close by.  Pierrot has, (or used to have) two PIU machines in the back, but the last few times I was there, they said they were broken, so I don't know if they'll ever fix them or what's going on with that situation.  I think they might say they're broken when they just don't want to turn the machines on for someone who's just going to play one or two games, but the machines might actually be broken, so we might have to get a group of PIU players to go there and try playing some rounds.  As for location and address, I'll head over there sometime soon and get some info and a few pictures if I'm able.

Hmmm, I didn't notice the PIU machines in the back.  That's cool to know.
It's definitely a harder place to find than some places.  It's sort of tucked away.  All I can say about its location is, if you're going south on S Tacoma Wy and you pass the Showgirls, you've gone too far and Pierrot is a couple more buildings back.
Thier address is: 8516 S Tacoma Wy #A-2 Lakewood, WA 98499. Phone 253.588.6330

Man, people are missing out this weekend.
BTW, did anyone make a reservation?  Remember I said I wasn't going to do it this time.
Peace.

Eeep.

I'm really bad with talking to people on the phone, so I really don't think I should make the reservation.  I can't imagine the rest of us are much better...

So... pretty please, could you do it?

You can do it over email =P thats how I did it.
Though I have to admit; you setting up your own birthday karaoke seems a bit...odd.
Well I'll send them an email tomorrow then; don't let me forget!

I got some more info on Pierrot.  Like I said previously, it's not far from B&I, in fact, it's only 5 minutes walking distance, if that.  It's in a small center called Royal Plaza.  The thing is, that they don't seem to open until about 6pm or some time around there.

Thanks to Tada, Laura, and Tony for coming.  I had a great time =D  Happy Birthday Tada!

Next time let's try to get more (and I'm eyeing Arkaaito since that was part of the reason we rescheduled to June) people to come, k?

See ya,
Chris

How does Saturday, JULY 28th, sound for the next karaoke meetup?

For this one, I would like to propose everyone first hit up Narrows for some gaming in the best arcade around still, and then after that we take a trip down to South Tacoma for some Korean food and some karaoke at this Pierrot's Music Studio I discussed prior.

Questions? Comments?
Thanks,
Chris

If possible I'd like to do Narrows after Karaoke; (1) I sweat easily, even from a single set of all 7's on DDR or a set of 50+'s on DM, and (2) Though my asthma hasn't been a health risk in years, I'll still have weird breathing issues until I take a shower (steam fixes it).  I'd be extremely uncomfortable (and smelly) and possibly unable to sing.

The only problem is karaoke usually opens later rather than sooner; I will have to find out their business hours next time I am in the area.  We could always go at 7 since I'm certain they'd be open, afterwards get some food (certain we'll already have had some snax) then trek to Narrows since I believe it is open pretty late on weekends.  But does Narrows have a similar policy like ACME wherein people under a certain age have to leave early?  I'm not certain on that one.
If we can work it out, then of course I'd like to plan it around your request, Tony.

Week before. I can't do July 28th or the weekend after.  Tongue

Chris, What's with you picking all these dates I can't do???

So you're saying July 21st? OK, I can't see any problems on this end.  Let's throw it back to there.  That still gives everyone over a month to prep, so I'm cool with it.

I'd for sure meet you guys at Narrows. Cheesy

So at this point it is safe to assume:
BlueSS
AlphaConqerer
Ancisck

are coming.
Any more RSVPers?  Personally, I think karaoke with less than 5 people is pretty droll.

It's also safe to assume that I'll be wherever Tony is.

Yeah, but I never like to take anything for granted when planning stuff.

Doubt I'll be going, seeing as how I'll be on the other side of the planet. Tongue
