One of my best, oldest friends, Robby AKA omgmkat on these forums, is running an ITG tournament in Utah on 3/19, the Saturday before our ITG tournament here in Seattle.  It looks like a hell of a lot of fun - there are even challenge and freestyle divisions! (And BTW 0 their "expert" bracket is almost exactly the same as our "standard" bracket - just saying.)

Delta has a Sunday morning flight that would get me back in Seattle by 10 AM, and ACME is 5 minutes away from the airport, so Tony and I are actually looking into attending both tournaments! Cheesy  I figured I should post about it here in case anyone else is on Spring Break that week and/or crazy like me and feels like the ultimate ITG challenge: TWO TOURNAMENTS, TWO DAYS, TWO STATES.

Edit> I just bought my ticket and Tony is mulling over whether or not he wants to go.  Cheesy

LOL:D and which one is great??

Wow that sounds insanely fun. I'd probably be able to get a cheap flight there from my friend who works for NWA. but I don't know where I'd stay. That idea does sounds cool though!

That's a good one. I'll have to consult the good book about this.

*opens up the hitchhiker's guide*

While we may have some space available at a local player's house, if we get any more people we'll have to explore the possibility of getting a hotel room or asking another local near by. I don't know if I can stuff any people into my house due to some ongoing family drama. But we'll see. If more people express some interest, I'll be more than happy to ask around.

TWO tourneys within 24 hours that both list me as an evil OOS player?  Sign me up.  Neem, I'll split a room with you if you want or definitely go in on any hotel gatherings/parties going on.

My competitive juices have been flowing in the last couple of days  Wink

Evil OOS player? Nah. Come on in! Cheesy

Anyone who's willing to drive/fly/walk to freaking UTAH is more than welcome to enter our tournaments.

hehe. Yeah, I've been reading that thread. Without getting into it too much, I will say this. I was part of the oldschool 1-2nd gen Seattle scene, and we always welcomed OOS with open arms. We loved a challenge! Bring it the fuck on!

Wish you could make it. If all goes according to plan, we will have 3 more tournaments in the Deal With It series that you may be able to make it to. Next one is planned for June, then September and finally November-December.

I tried to get info on the tournament and our forums out to the Cheyenne and Colorado people, but after DDREncore killed their forums, I had no idea how to get a hold of anyone in that area. If you could spread the word and some links, that would be much appreciated Smiley

hey! Neko, let me know how much the rates of the room/stuff are. It'd be real fun to travel for a tourney for once, and I'm really interested in this.

Of course I'd prefer staying in one's house (if such a crazy option is available), but if the price is right, I'd be cool for doing this one. Let me know thanks!

Right now, it looks like there's a hotel fairly nearby for 77 bucks a night - I'd need to stay for two nights.  That hotel can sleep up to four people, and right now omgmkat is planning on staying with me and I offered Neko one of the slots too, which would mean there's more space open if you're interested! 8D

Yeah I saw that too actually.

Well I let my friend Marq know about it and he will let spork know about it. I'll talk to him as well. I bet at least some colorado kids know about it already.

Unfortunately, it seems that we've stuffed the house that was being offered full of people for that weekend. There is a super 8 motel in an area called Murray/Fort Union that is going for $78/night or so, if anyone is looking for a good cheap hotel. It's about a 7 minute drive to the arcade from there, or a straight shot on the bus.

EDIT> I strongly suggest the super 8. Hotels in Sandy tend to be expensive liek whut, and that hotel is actually pretty close.
