Hi Guys -

The rules were actually constructed by Chris Foy and myself (Kyle Ward).  We've ran several tournaments in the past with the Big Al's staff and they requested we prepare this event @ the Beaverton location as well.  In addition to the preparation, we were able to have the event rescheduled for the 20th so that more of you could make it.

Just a reminder, the event is on Saturday Nov 20th, starting at 2pm.  (Already stated in this thread)
Foy and I have pioneered + ran several "Ironman" based events all over; with multiple dance games.  You can be assured the tournament system will be efficient, social and fun for all.  Be prepared to be tested on a variety of skills!

We look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday!

Thank you for clearing everything up. I have just been going around trying to recruit more people to play and wasn't sure who was actually behind everything. Good to hear that you obviously know a lot more about what you are doing than I am!

What a relief. For some reason I was convinced it was yesterday, probably the non-updated date. Now let's hope I get my sleep schedule back on track by then (I probably will). Smiley

Are you two actually going to compete in this thing? Because I read Foy's facebook post about you getting 99's on Crazy 10s and that'll be some tough competition if that's the case. =D

Welp I've got no chance at this, but with it now being on a weekend I can participate.

As of today, November 12th, we only have 9 people signed up! We need another 6 to have the tournament so if you plan on playing, come down and sign up before the day of the tournament.

If you haven't gotten me yet, I do plan to attend, but I live up above Seattle, so I can't "sign up" in person.

If you guys can PM or email me with your full names and emails, I can add you to the list. Just make sure you bring the money on tournament day!

If not for already promising Bobby I'd be there for his PG thing, I would have been there! I'd easily go to the next one - it sounds like, with over 20 people, it was quite successful!

It was an amazing tournament! Being someone that's not so good at hard songs, I very much enjoyed the Iron Man rules... I even managed to get 1st in the Great Attack and Lowest Score Without Failing rounds. Wish I hadn't completely bombed in the Brake (err Approach) mod round, I would've been closer to legitimately* getting 4th.

Fun times though, thanks to Big Al's, Kyle Ward, and Chris Foy for putting on a great tournament. Looking forward to the next one!

* - Kyle was not eligible for prizes, so 2nd-5th got prizes. The official top 4 without Kyle were:
1st - Jeremy Cash
2nd - Alex Burchill
3rd - Tom Jackson
4th - Matt Hall

This was my first tournament and it was a lot of fun even though I ended up at 11th  Grin. Kyle and Chris did an amazing job hosting it and it was good to get to talk to everyone. Big Al's Vancouver is looking into having a tournament some time early next year so I will keep everyone posted about that. Now that we know how the tournament will work, we can all practice. On a side note, did anyone happen to get a video of me and Christian playing pink fuzzy bunnies on routine? I saw someone recording but I didn't remember who.
