Again, another necessary topic.

Personally, I think we need to find a way to get all the people in the area that are interested in rhythm games to join the community. I honestly don't know exactly how we can do that effectively, but as a rule we should be encouraging to the rhythm game players we meet at arcades, ESPECIALLY if we don't know them. I think that could start a PNW revival.

With more members comes a more diverse forum and a bigger community.

Hurray

I somehow have 27 posts per day when this is past the 24th hour of me registering, so I should have 13.5 per day since this isday 2.

Anybody else notice that?

Post counts are based on midnight (either gmt or local) rollover, not time since registration.

haha, sorry about that.

What's wrong with the new post icon? It's nice and easy to see.

What was the point of hiding post counts?  That's just an unneeded click per person if I want to see them, and none of us are really post-whoring from what I can see.

Also, am I still a mod of the off-topic forum?

Why do we need post counts?

And yes.

It just doesn't look right to me.  But oh well.

Also, the random board says it has no moderators, when in fact it does.

There weren't enough topics in there to justify it being separate for now. Topics with a *Serious* tag or something for the 2 topics that were in there would serve the same purpose for the most part.

I think separating the serious and the stupid was a good idea.  It gives a reason to say "shut up, you're being stupid" and also "this is the anything forum!" in its respective forums

On the Global BBS, we had one random chat board for all levels of seriousness, and things worked fine.

There weren't many retarded douches back on the global BBS though...

There aren't many (if at all) now either, what's your point?

I disagree sort of; there aren't a lot of retarded douches, but there are a few (not going to name names).  The ones that there are probably will get banned soon anyways.  After all, we run the forums now.

Maybe we should make an actual set of rules, something ITGFreak lacked horribly?  Just some simple stuff like writing coherent posts and just in general not being a dumbass.  If they don't follow the rules, then we have grounds for banning them, and it's entirely their fault.

A modest proposal (potential ruleset):
1. Don't be an idiot.
2. Read all posts pertaining to the topic of your own.
3. Use a decent amount of punctuation and grammar.
4. Don't overuse internet abbreviations and smilies (example)

Mandatory is spelled the way I just spelled it.  I'd recommend fixing it to avoid irony and to an extent, hypocrisy.

No one here so far has acted horrible enough to warrant a ban.
We should keep 'personal' crap out of the subject.

Haha, firefox doesn't seem to check the subject box, just everything else. Thanks for the heads up.
