Jon, have you considered allowing us to link our Youtube accounts to this site like we can our facebook, AIM info, MySpace, and Twitter? Basically, I just thought it'd be cool to have a youtube icon under our names that a person can click to go straight to our accounts. This would become increasingly useful as more of us record regional tournaments and events, then post those videos to our accounts.

What if you could upload videos to the gallery here instead (via Youtube)?

Either one of those would be pretty sweet.

Just having a PNW-only gallery would make me really happy.

We will have a video gallery soon - working on file sizes and requirements (and will monitor based on bandwidth).

For now: Copying a youtube link into a post will AUTO-EMBED from youtube!
Example: http://www.pnwbemani.net/events-meetups/(tournaments)-itg-and-ddr-tournaments-sakuracon-2010/30/

I can still probably add a Youtube profile link under the avatar too, at a later time.

It adds it to the media gallery through a Youtube Embed, so I don't host it on my server (and save a ton of bandwidth cost!).

I like this idea best. No need for you to host it and no need for most of us to double-upload it. I like the idea of uploading it to YouTube then simply linking it here.

It's the problem of converting the format anyway, which my server doesn't (and won't) do. It's easiest for everyone to upload to Youtube, and link in here as the user wants (whether by a link in a thread or as an entry embedded in a gallery). Smiley
