Um, so does a Max 300 AAA count as an accomplishment?  Just wondering guys.

haha, trying to play on flip-flops is entertaining. :-P I tried it on GW's SuperNova vs Tony in the Battle mode, and I think I won too, but not by much.

Pics?  There are definitely harder 10's, but a Max 300 AAA is pretty incredible.  If you don't have pics of that, pics of similarly awesome scores would be sufficient for me.

Eh, sorry Tofu, no pix(So it didn't happen I guess).  I'll cam all my scores from the next time I play though, and throw 'em down here.

Like,  year-old groovestats are here if that helps: http://groovestats.com/index.php?page=profile&view=detailedsongs&id=2900

I'll believe you.  Awesome job.  That shit's worth getting pics of though.  There are only 43 Max 300 AAA's on DDRecall, so that would put you about in the top 2% or so.

How do you get Stepmania to give you a AAA when you get a great?  It doesn't seem to give me a AAA no matter how many marvelouses I have  if I have 1 great.

Hmmm, congradulations on your AAAs. I also have quite a few on Stepmania and home versions, and besides, I'm a purist and I only count arcade AAAs as part of my total.

Sigh, I have about 15 BFs I'd like to post, but I'm waiting to AAA them. I'll post them then.

eh? j6?
Default = j4 = easy
j6 is fairly close to Arcade timing, although it's not perfect on the newer versions.

gj anyway, but try those on j6 or j5 if you want more valid scores, and always include your judgment level when posting SM accomps.

j6 is harder than arcade timing. I'm almost entirely certain of this.

I need to stop fucking this up. I'm also gonna try x4 next time.

GOLD RUSH. This is pretty hard. I have an SDE until the second chorus, and then it all goes to shit at the end.

96.92 Outer World normal, x2 no bar no cheating. I can uh, 99 this on a faster speed mod. Also why did I play this course. I guess I'll have to do it again since this score is kinda crappy.
4g Stars*** sightread, what a good song.

I agree Ethan. Someone told me J6 was arcade timing, but I've been to an arcade at least 100 times, and every time I play J6 on SM, I get significantly more greats. I think arcade timing is around J4.5 honestly. 4 seems a little too loose, and 5 a tad tight.

Oh yeah, accomps.

 FC AA'd Daikenkai Oni for the first time. Don't laugh, it's harder than you think. This is coming from a guy who has passed Determinator and AA'd Max 300 on Double.

if you want arcade timing you just manually change the windows.  it's not rocket science, and also i feel bad for diggit because the first direct comment was essentially "timing hack or fake"

good job diggit.
tyrgannus> on double, from the context of your post?  nice job, that really is a tough song to FC
ethan> where is your gold rush?  I want to see if i like it better than one i've played before.

Groovestats. It's probably still the first one on there.

The only other Gold Rush I've played was shit, and I tend to think this is kind of fun, so give it a shot.

Yes double, sorry. It wouldn't have been an accomp for me on single. I should have clarified.

DO I go to the stepmania.ini to change that? tell me how and what to set it too please if you can. I try to be as accurate as I can, and on the default timing settings, it did feel a tad loose (though I haven't played at a good arcade for a while now so I'm not exactly certain if my PA just went up, which is what I'm hoping Tongue)

press scroll lock and in there somewhere (gameplay settings? not sure its been awhile) and you see judgement difficulty, 1-7.

yes, the appropriate lines in stepmania.ini

I don't remember all the window sizes, but

marvelous = 0.016667
perfect = 0.033333
great = 0.100000
good = 0.133333
boo = 0.200000

I don't know if that's right or not. Try it out and see how it feels.  I'm absolutely certain that marv/perf are correct, about 90% sure on great, but good and boo I'm not sure.

Actually played on a dedicab today, at *shocker* Seaside! Where all the scores were apparently wiped with the installation of R21, meaning every and any score was easy to take. Re-did a bunch of scores and got some new ones that kind of surprised me. So some of these aren't new.

D-Code Hard- 98.78 I think, this is kinda hard but I could do better.
Ride the Bass- 99.02, best on the machine was like 98?
TIRAR- 99.54, 9e
Spacy Crazy Girl Hard- 7e, 99.53 iirc
Pick Me Up and Tango- 99.79 3e, which is pretty tight considering I never tristarred this before. I guess the steps are pretty DDR-like so that might have something to do with it. Will quad if I get access to a dedicab again.
HOTN Medium- 98.99 FUCK.
Birdie- 99.40 first play in a year and a half
Bumblebee- 99.43, did play this kinda recently
Temple of Boom- 98.33 could definitely 99 this
Holy Guacamole- 98.65 with two greats can EASILY 99 this
Outer World Normal- 98.40, I think I'm done with this for now

And I really wish my flashdrive worked because I would've played a bunch of the new stuff I finished. Like Chocolate Rain.
