hahaha damn Gerrak!
I've got a lot of catching up to do on ITG!
I've honestly just been playing DDR straight for the past 3 months. I'm a beast now.
at gameworks the other day, 7 greats on The Least 100 Sec, and 11 greats on PSMO.
also AAA max 300 lolololololololololololol.
I'm might head down to ACME every now and then, but I'm making it my goal for right now to play only DDR. I want to AAA PSMO so bad. I know I can do it, and I'm gonna do it.

The fact that it happened at ALL is amazing, even if it's not "on command".
Hell, to this day I only have a 30% chance of AAA'n most of my easiest AAAs.

No offense but it sounds like bullshit to me, hahaha. One doesn't normally just come out of nowhere with a AAA on a boss song.
(especially while getting 7 on TL100s lol??)
I mean, I believe you, but a picture or video would be pretty cool I guess.

That's understandable Disco. I'll try again this weekend ^_^
Honestly though, I am one of the most inconsistent players you'll ever meet. My scores are so fucked up it's ridiculous.
For example: I AAA Max 300, yet I've never AAA'd Afronova.
I'm weird like that. . . . . .
I guess it's because I tend to get focused on one song for such a long time that I stop playing others all together. That and I blame ITG for screwing me up. I've turned into a bit of an endurance player, so streams and stuff have become easy.
god you should look at my ITG scores..........for serious, I've double starred some twelves. yet I still haven't triple starred all the 9's.

Like I said I totally believe you, it's just like you said, it seemed awfully inconsistent. I looked back over your posts here and was like "ok AAA's on Sexy Planet oni, Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Max 300... wait..."
BUT
I'm also really happy because I didn't think there was anyone left locally who was good at 10's (let alone played them). In other words I'm going to play a lot of them today.
You should join a tracking website and shit! Like Recall or
DCS
.

I'm rather inconsistent too Keby. For instance, I can get 2 greats, no bar on So Deep, HVAM, and Afranova, but my average score fluctuates between 4 and 15 greats. That's pretty damn weird.

I used to love Recall, but the admin has all but abandoned the site. It gets very few updates and the score tracker siggy image (which I had previously used) hasn't been fixed since the last crash in December.
EDIT: I want SN2 so bad. I know my AAA count would f*cking soar if I could play with Marvs constantly on.

Yeah Recall is trash now, there's no point in using it. DCS even has most X songs up and is probably going to be updated soon. Not a lot of users though and most of them don't take it seriously. I think most people use zenius-i-vanisher.
Blue: My friend Chris Austin/Soul of Ignorance started it up when he was tired of Recall not having SN1 up. So it's at least a year old. Now he's two mixes ahead of them and it doesn't seem like they'll have SN2 or X any time soon.
And on the topic of consistency, yeah Marvelous timing helps a lot. And decent speed mods. Either way though I either AAA or flag almost everything these days, but I only play like 10-13 range most of the time. I'm going to incorporate more 14-18 into my sets from today on.

Btw Keby, when my back gets better, you and I are gonna play some DDR Extreme. I need to up my AAA count and you and I don't hang out enough. Lets hope Bill puts a DDR Extreme or SN 2 in at Acme.
EDIT: Disco, does SN2 have a memory card feature? I can't remember if they actually implemented that outside of Japan, or if it was an abandoned aspect to the game.

I have no idea. There's not really any SN2 here anymore. X has no memory card feature but it does have USB support for edits.

for that stop in the middle I count "1 2 3 4" in my head when the freeze arrows end. basically use the power of music theory!!!!!!!!!!!
at the end are you talking about the "triplets"? for those I use both feet on one arrow to hit them. I think Yasu ans those crazy japanese people came up with the technique
EDIT: also suko you reminded me that I need to talk to bill about seeing if it'd be possible to install DDR ENCORE onto one of his machines. It'd be awesome, I know one of the guys that heads the project and it would be really cool to have. We would get all of DDR Encore plus every DDR song that's ever been made. Spork is awesome like that.
And Disco, how the hell can you AAA everything ever, its disgusting.

Encore is awesome, I would like to have that installed. I bet all the ITG fanboys would be pissed about putting anything with "DDR" in the title on the ITG machine.
We've got all the DDR songs (1st - SN2) on our ITG machine. I love it, but I have to admit that there're so many songs that it gets really difficult to sort and easily "browse" through the list.
Just to give you an idea, it takes us a minimum of 8 seconds to scroll through the "S" songs alone.

It could be done at Acme, but I don't know if people are interested. As for SN2, you might want to wait on that.

Suko: the window's a little smaller actually, but having Marv timing and speed mods in increments of x.5 up to x8 really helps. I don't think I've improved anything but my MA since coming to Japan, the new speed mods just allowed me to do what I should have been doing the last two or three years.
Keby: OMG that stop trick was almost exactly what I was going for... I'd count to 8 starting from the freeze and then count to four when it ended. I think the first count threw me off though. And yeah I'll try the Yasu trick too even though I suck at it right now. Thanks dude.
Also yesterday was just stupid, in a good way. I was racing a friend of mine to 200; we both started at about 155 and he's sitting at 158 right now. I just got to 11 yesterday and figured I could close it out, even though I didn't really need to. As a result my back is STILL killing me, haha. Also it turns out that Tierra Buena MA ties an American record, which I'm pretty happy about.

Oh, you're playing on a Japanese cabinet? Well no wonder! I thought you were playing on a ridiculously well maintained DDR X cabinet somewhere in the US. This would've further impressed the hell out of me, since most US X machines are terrible.
