I always get 1gr on Ecstasy, ALWAYS! It's never in the same spot and I don't even hear my stepping go off beat. It's probably the #1 song on my F*ck You list of songs I should've AAA'd years ago.

Yeah, it was on my list too. I got the Oni almost two years ago but not this. You know about the weird BPM changes and stuff right?

The highest on my list of "shoulda" songs is Let the Beat Hit 'Em though

yes I've tried

I've had some notable "shoulda" songs that I had tried very hard on before I got them

LTTS TCM got around 160
kiss kiss kiss was 230ish
midnight blaze and my sweet darlin were both 200+

Look To The Sky True Colors is hard as fuck though. I don't have that either.

Ha, wow. That was my second AAA. I thought it was a pretty solid chart and on-beat. But I don't think I'm great at knowing if something is timed right. I knew something was fishy about Ecstasy, but I just play a song until I get the steps, I don't really analyze it. That's probably why I suck at Xenon.

I see. Ecstasy is really famous for literally slowing down 5-10bpm right after the first stop, so if you're getting your great there, that's why. LTTSTC goes horribly off like halfway through; if I had it on X with x4/x4.5 it wouldn't be a problem, but instead it is.

And I'm telling you there's nothing to analyze about Xenon; it doesn't go offsync, it fits the music and it doesn't penalize you for doublestepping. Go AAA it. Didn't you flag it a while ago?

haha "perfect" speed mods are overrated

If you look at my pictures from the past few days:
TL100S is on 2x (400-524bpm)
dynamite rave remix on 3x (510bpm)
era on 3x (270-540bpm)
electro tuned on 3x (375bpm)
break down on 2x (380bpm)

My fastest AAA on extreme is 570 (HVAM 3x unless I did A, in which case it's 573 but it may have been on 2), and slowest is 60 (bimp 1x)  Comfort zone is low-mid 400s though.

On that note, the worst bpms in existence is 120 and 200.  600 is too fast, 400 is kinda slow

no they're fucking not

the only reason I have 140 AAA's in this country is because of x3.5, x4, x4.5 and x5

90-100- x6
100-120- x5 (x5.5 feels too fast on 100 for some reason)
120-135- x4.5
135-160- x4
160-185- x3.5
185-210- x3

even if those mods did exist on Extreme they'd be a lot harder to read. I'm just saying reading everything around 570-630 is most comfortable to me, to the point where it makes a difference. if I play no bar though I can read slower. also HVAM x3 is going to be 588. (196 x 3)

and either way, even if you could still AAA with those mods on X, there would be no point in not picking something more comfortable because it'd probably help you MA better.

and yes I'm aware that going back to Extreme is going to be really hard.

Nothing too notable today, mostly just messing around on SN double

93.1% supernova oni (single)
40FC xepher oni (sightread/warmup)
18FC xepher heavy no bar
4 on seduction without slowdown
15 on paranoia respect (ps this song is so easy, I'm going to AAA it soon haha)
59xxxx on eternal love mix extra, haven't played it in over a year

ethan: is HVAM 196?  no wonder it's so fucking hard on 3x, i always thought it was 190, hahaha.  also, my speed mods actually aren't dependent on bpm only, it's song dependent too.  For example: although I play paranoia eternal on SN on 3x, I would never, ever put max300 on 2x.

Oh yeah, i was going to play ITG single today but I got to acme and saw this dude playing some no bar double.  He's not anything special but way better than almost any other double player here; he's terrible at score but was passing 9s.  ...and me being the jackass that i am took a few of his machine records by a lot (like seduction vocal 85xxxxx -> 994xxxx)

Alright I got some new scores:

All of the In The Groove 2 Theme are on a non-dedicab.

Gerrak you may have taken back Be My Friend, but I took something better away from you Tongue

This was my last song and set before Acme closed.

That's a nice AZNHXC. You could 99 it probably.

Today was gay.

#235- Raspberry Heart Heavy (14p) pad miss, the pads are getting so shitty here now
#236- Let the Beat Hit 'Em (19p) yay

Trip Machine Climax X-Special- 34p and 1 great, right in the first 4 steps. HATE.
and I ranked 2nd in Hokkaido on some ranking course with a TERRA theme.

Yeah, I can definitely 99 that. It was my 3rd time playing that song and since it was on x3, it felt like I sight read it; that's where those greats came in Sad If it weren't for those greats, then it probably would have been a 99.

Your marvelous is crazy, I can barely get that low at home.. normally I get 30-50 marv. on most songs. And if I use the controller there's just a tiny bit difference lol.

I wanna try marvelous attack on a decent ddr x or supernova 2 machine atleast someday and see how much harder it is than a home version.

It's actually quite amazing just how different the timing windows are on the home version compared to the arcade. If we had a tourny on a home version. . . . .it'd get nowhere because we'd all be getting SDP all the time xD

Hahaha, I know what you guys mean, and though this might sound weird, I'll always find it easier to MA most songs on a cabinet just because the general quality of the pad is going to be better. But I really wish I could take this perfect build of X, give it some perfect pads and bring it back to everyone on this board. In all confidence I can say that the correct build of DDRX is the best iteration of DDR yet, and I only hope that X2 will be better (and intact in the States).

I haven't had the chance to play anything above SN1. Well, I did play DDR X on an upgraded cabinet at the Metro Mall in Vancouver, BC. It played well, but I didn't really like the theme. I've heard good things about SN2, and the theme on that looks a lot more attractive to me. But, the theme is only visuals, I'm sure gameplay is what I would care about more.

After more than a month off the pad because of back problems, it's good to see that on my first day back I've still got some semblance of accuracy.

Awesome speed/stamina day today. I blame my recent running and actually playing hard songs again...

Could have probably avoided those greats but what can I say, still a good score

And

It's no 87 NSXX but still my first pass on it in 4 months and I'm on my way to giving that score a run for its money. Wasn't too worn out by the end.  Grin Just thought I'd share

That SN2 machine in U-district have good pads? I kinda want to check it out if so

Yeah, they're good... you should totally check it out, since I'm going to be running a tournament there in a couple of weeks.

I got this today on the old Illusionz itg2 machine today near my local area. This is how awesome the pads are:

94.44% on Determinator Expert. I managed to full combo the crazy run in the middle somehow... I guess Mini really helps   Smiley

I'll be back at Acme soon to take more of your scores... slowy mwahaha

Gerrak

I'm not fast enough to do Determinator...  Sad  I fuck up the run every time, often even fail it it's stupid. That score is damn impressive I must say. More power to you if you can beat more of my Acme scores, I need more motivation to go and try to win them back... Down to 2 days a week in favor of running. But who plays DDR/ITG for exercise anymore anyway?
