I wouldn't say it's impossible to teach somebody how to play dance games with more accuracy. There are certain techniques that could help you maximize your odds of success.
One such technique is the "flat foot". I wrote an article about it and I'll put the link below. This style will probably help improve your accuracy, but at the cost of your stamina and ability to play fast, intense songs.
http://www.pnwbemani.net/articles/dance-game-techniques/flat-foot-technique/21
if you are interested in obtaining higher accuracy in songs. I suggest you try to play easier stuff so you're not worried about passing the song while also focusing on your score. Challenging yourself with new, and harder songs is great. But, if you want to perfect your accuracy and get AAA's, you should try playing songs you can easily pass and focusing hard on getting the highest possible score you can.
Edit : I also found this post I wrote on DDR Freak a few years back. Just click on this link and find the post by me. I don't think it'll help too much, but if you have a minute it's worth the read.

Okay, thanks.
So err, not sure if I can make it to the ACME tomorrow, and I really wish I could go more often, but due to the limits of not having a vehicle or my own job yet, I sometimes can't afford to come :{
but eh, I'll come by and play for like 6 songs anyway today (sunday)

I don't always play ITG, but when I do...
This whole time I've been breathing wrong. Epic sightread win!
I remember this from years ago. Still fun to play!

Thanks!
I felt pretty awesome afterwards! As far as the pads go, P1 felt all around good to me. Travis was complaining about P2 right arrow though...

Yeah, turns out that the Player 2's right arrow sensor closest to the center panel was split and busted. It caused the arrow to stick, fixed that up today though so it should be working like a charm!

Here's a variety of things:
This took five tries; it's so rhythmically difficult!
I think the sync is a tad late.
Shortcut version
*shrug*
Wi-Ex-Doc-Va D23 - C w/ 141; didn't take the pic in time. Last part is stretchy!
Did this today and persevered; totally wasn't expecting to pass!
I think I'm comfortable doing 160.

Hey guys, just wanting to make sure Chris + Abbye see this. I've updated some stuff on the IWSS tournament page. Hopefully tony will add the new pack to the ACME machine soon so you guys can all start qualifying. You need to make accounts on AIJ to qualify for the tournament, you should start posting scores ASAP. Please see the updated first post on the thread for updates:

Hey Sara thanks for updating us with regards to the tournament!
We do have a few concerns that need to be addressed. Both Abbye and I won't be able to play practically all of next week considering it is Thanksgiving week, and a bit into the first week of December. This raises concerns about qualifying due to time constraints. Hopefully, Tony will be able to upload the tournament packs to the machine soon otherwise we will have less then a week to qualify before the tournament.
Also, I wanted to mention that we do not have access to over half the packs that you recommend we practice for the tournament. Although the USB ports have been semi-fixed, they are still not reading cards properly and we don't have the means to get into said packs.
Possibly you can get a hold Tony and urge him to place some of the packs you recommended onto the machine at Acme for people playing at Acme. Otherwise, players from Acme will be going in blind.

Hey do you guys want tournament shirts? There are mens sizes and womens sizes, the picture are here on fb, and the details are there too... it makes it incredibly difficult and stressful for me to have to keep crossposting everything here. can you guys just make throwaway accounts or something? Or like tell me why you are so against it? Its frustrating...
You should go check out the design and stuff, the URL to the page is on the other thread I made...

Whoa, if I could get a blue one of those in men's smalls, I'd be happy lol, even though I'm not a beast player.
Still fun to show off the shirt at my school though since I think I'm the only goddamned 16 year old in this generation playing ITG/DDR/etc.

This is just a bunch of stuff I've played in the last week. Lots of new passes and a much of scores that aren't my highest scores but I was just happy to have a pass.
Also failed The Power(17) with a 76 but my buddy hit the escape key before I could get a screen shot.

Last night at GameWorks was epic!
That final stream is like Exotic Ethnic's final stream x 1.5 rate. So difficult!
EDIT THE SECOND: Acme last night!
Love this song & chart!
As you can see, I combo'd all of the 240 part during the latter half.
Propane Nightmares is fun!
I attempt Eclipse and fail before the 24th run, lol! XP

Where is the IWSS tournament held btw? I'd like to maybe come watch :3
And perhaps even have some fun with the "leftover scraps" once it's over or something.
