- ORIGINAL POST -
This thread had to start some time. Although I've seen exactly zero people post that didn't already talk to eachother already, the aim is to have more people show up, right? Yes.
About me.
name: James
age: too old
how to find me: I'm 5'9 and half asian. Like everybody else at ACME, but whatever
I show up at ACME bowl every now and then.
I like DDR more than ITG for the most part but give both equal playtime, and also I play a lot of IIDX at home, it's a great game.
I am what can be generalized as a "scorer." That is, I play to get the highest score possible on everything.
My tag is "5DAI" on ITG/IIDX or "GODAI" on DDR usually. Sometimes other names if I feel like it.
I am a pretty darn good simfile maker (as judged by me) but don't make a whole lot due to time constraints. I take requests but they don't get fulfilled a lot for the same reason.
Nice to meet you.

does anybody still read this thread anyway? oh well. I'm Tom. Crombie. I've been playing DDR for awhile now, and ITG for not awhile. I don't really play any other bemani, but I'm trying to get into some new ones. I joined the Marines a little while after Sakuracon 2007, and now I'm currently stationed in Okinawa Japan. I've been to some arcades now, and yes, they rock. I played DDR Supernova 2 a little while ago, that was cool. Uh, yeah. You maybe saw me at Sakuracon 06 or 07. If you played DDR you probably saw me, cuz I pretty much played the whole time.
If you've seen me, you've either seen me at sakuracon or acme. 5'11", 195 lbs, blonde pony tail, full beard. Probably sweaty due to dancing for hours on end. yeah. not that great at score, or stamina on each song, but I can play a lot of consecutive games. Mostly do 9,10, and 11's. names on machines you might see, thanatos, devildog, or thom. I primarily played at the South Hill mall, where I was pretty much the best. Since the machine sucks and Salamar doesn't go up there anymore.

keep my hair? yeah right, they haze you in boot camp like crazy. So everyone has to be bald. I made sure to get a hair cut before I even got down there. I kept the pony tail though. I mean, look at these pictures of me before boot camp. That took me over 3 years to grow out.
this one has my hair down just so you can see how long it got
http://a609.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/41/l_1266a4574b8d9954b7ea6a5aee41dda8.jpg
this is how you might actually recognize me from back then though

and look how much I have now!

with about 3 1/2 years left in the marines(if I don't re-enlist), and it took about 3 1/2 years to grow that out... That means the next time I could actually get my hair that long would be when I'm 26! Yeah, I don't think I'm gonna have it then. Not if I want to have a good job, and not one where I can look like a bum. Anways, thats why I kept it.

Thank you.
By the way I Actually knew someone was gonna say something about my screen name but I guess I'll explain lol. I'm well aware of how it was supposed to be spelt. Its kinda my thing to put an H in there to make it look somewhat original

Hey, I'm Chanh. I just turned 17 and I live around Beaverton. I like playing DDR and ITG and I've also got a IIDX controller at home and I mess around with it when I'm bored since I suck at it.
I play mostly 9's and a few 10's on DDR and ITG and 5/6's on IIDX. When I play at arcades, it's usually that ITG upgrade cab at the Lloyd Center Tilt! since they got rid of that DDREx machine at the Cedar Mill Wunderland. Hope to see some of you guys around once in a while.

Welcome to the site! We've got a pretty cool Oregon group here, although I've only met two of them... but the others are probably cool too.

I'm Brian. Recovering fat boy, steadily losing weight to a healthy diet of ITG. If you've been to Acme in the past couple months you've probably seen me at one time or another. Used to be 5'10" 310, now down to 220 and still going.
I can do 11's, really close to 12's, reasonably decent (95~%, no 99% craziness yet) at 9's and 10's. I drum with the Seahawks drumline, Blue Thunder, but for some reason drummania screws me up. *Just* different enough to cause problems.
Anyway, I usually play about 6 days a week at Acme, often in the earlier afternoon before the evening crowd comes out. See you there!

Aleksey, 18 for another month, freshman at UW, which is where I play despite having all but two of the DDR games for my PS2 (I like how the pad does not suck and how it has a bar).
I might have met two of you guys there, somebody told me to join this forum and now I'm here. I've got red hair, glasses, and basement skin, if that helps you recognize me.
I can pass almost everything, the most difficult being MAX300 but it's kind of hit-or-miss with that song because while my stamina is great, my accuracy sucks. All the other guys that I see at the UW HUB regularly are all better.

Chance are it was probably me, since I don't know many other people who ever play at the HUB anymore.
Welcome!
I'm not a stamina player either, and I rarely see any other DDR players when I stop by the HUB (although that's not too often). Maybe I should a site flyer on the machine again...

Nice to see people still coming into the scene, even though a lot of them are in the Seattle area...I guess having a really well-maintained cluster of machines in one place probably helps.
