- ORIGINAL POST -
This thread had to start some time. Although I've seen exactly zero people post that didn't already talk to eachother already, the aim is to have more people show up, right? Yes.
About me.
name: James
age: too old
how to find me: I'm 5'9 and half asian. Like everybody else at ACME, but whatever
I show up at ACME bowl every now and then.
I like DDR more than ITG for the most part but give both equal playtime, and also I play a lot of IIDX at home, it's a great game.
I am what can be generalized as a "scorer." That is, I play to get the highest score possible on everything.
My tag is "5DAI" on ITG/IIDX or "GODAI" on DDR usually. Sometimes other names if I feel like it.
I am a pretty darn good simfile maker (as judged by me) but don't make a whole lot due to time constraints. I take requests but they don't get fulfilled a lot for the same reason.
Nice to meet you.

Don't worry about the language barrier. I won't get mad and I'm sure it will be alright.
Regarding USB: I don't know about Cheney's PIU machine, as I have never visited there. The USB at ACME is not working. The one on the ITG2 machine at Wonderland should be working, but not very well.

It was nice meeting you Chris! We gotta play some pump sometime (even though I'm terrible at it). Need to work on my piu skills at some point.

Sure was! Yeah I don't really play four panel anymore hence why I didn't last long in the tournamnet at all haha.
I like pump a lot more; and its the closest dance game machine near me.

'Lo guys, gals, and other beasties! I'm 4o4, if you want to call me other names you're free to do so, but that's my name for myself. I rock it up here in Bellingham, wowing Canadians and hipsters who've never actually seen dance-games played well. I'd really like to make a weekend trip down to ACME sometime to play and meet all you cats who play down there, but for the time-being I haven't the cash for it nor, in my opinion, am I good enough to actually warrant it. Still working my way through the 10s.

You can go to the SPERGIN 3 event in August. It's at my place, which is more north than most other places to play at (Mukilteo). That'll give you a good chance to see people and have fun in a not too serious event.

Name's Huy Radics (Vietnamese, if you guys are curious).
I've been playing DDR for 3 years and still trying to tackle 10 foot songs (I don't care for DDR X, so i won't those numbers).
I'm a gamer, in general.
I am currently in my 2nd year in college, probably gonna go for a focus in Urban Structuring.
I also play Tennis (and DDR of course) to keep myself fit.
So, anyways, I welcome myself and all of you to this community!

Urban Structuring? Is that like urban planning/development, or something more to do with social aspects of people in urban environments? I'm have my degrees in Architecture, so I'm curious.

It's very similar, or perhaps the same, to Architecture. What I plan to focus on is urban development of the city (Grand Rapids). Obviously, I need to research this field of study, but that's a general idea I have in mind.

Hi guys. My name is Nick. I have been playing DDR for about 7 years on and off although recently I have taking quite a liking to Pump It Up within the last several weeks. The reason for the switch is I feel PIU is more natural of a rhythm game than DDR. The diagonal arrows and middle stomp button provide a more ergomic way to play. DDR with the arrow panel configuration presents more of a challenge because it is basically strafing up down left right instead of the ergonomic movement given by PIU. I have taught myself how to replay PIU very well. The last time I played PIU was like a couple of years ago and i wasn't very good until now.
You can find me playing PIU at Acme bowl every other weekend usually on Friday or Saturday. I also play Time Crisis 3. I consider myself the master of Time Crisis 3 as I am the only one to have passed the entire game on blue and red side. Red side is harder. Player one side. Blue is easier. Its player two side. Both of my initials NAB are on each 1p and 2p side as 1st ranking.
Other facts about me. I'm a beast at 6'3" @ 220lbs, lol. Big as in bodybuilder status. I workout five days a week. Also take my whey protein and creatine. Yeah. I got muscles, lol.
I do work hard. Previous employee of JCP warehouse. Out of work but I do get my benefits so still have cash available. It'd be cool to show my talents in IT support. I am good with fixing and assembling PCs. I'm A + certified as a Professional Depot Technician. Should get myself Network + certified also as a MSCE or CCNA. I'm your go to guy for solving your PC problems. If I'm unable to fix it I most likely can help point you in the right direction.
I'm 29 years old. Caucasian male. Like girls. Especially ethnic girls.
If you would like to chat with me you can do it here or reach me at my gmail address. It should be listed on my profile. If not. Just ask. I can give my address to you in a pm.

I find it highly unlikely that you're the *only* person who has passed the entire game on both sides before.
Do you only play on Friday and Saturday? I was there on Thursday evening two weeks ago (7:30pm to 9pm or so) and there was a person on the DDR machine when I arrived. I played a few games of ITG, and he moved down to Pump It Up for a while. Then he started playing Time Crisis 3 and House Of The Dead, and I moved over to Pump. We started chatting after that, and were alternating games on Pump It Up until I ran out of energy and decided to go home.
While chatting with this person, he did say he was particularly good at Time Crisis 3, and he told me which side was easier to play on. I remember showing him the Beethoven Virus spins, and we were both confused by a Pump game that only let him play two songs, even though he passed the second one. Was this you, perhaps?

Hello! I'm Mark, 23, 6'3", Aries, moved from eastern Ohio to Seattle to work for Amazon. My hobbies include programming, tennis, and puzzle games of all varieties. I'm a mid-level casual rhythm game player, topping out around 12s on ITG and ~17-18 on Pump.

Hello,
I'm Devin, I recently moved to Seattle, from California, for work. I'm a software developer my profession and enjoy playing piano, hiking, watching anime, and just hanging out with friends in my spare time. I recently just started playing rhythm games again after about an eight year hiatus (yikes!) and am extremely rusty
. I'm excited to start playing regularly though! You can catch me at Gameworks in Seattle from time to time since I live closeby!

Nice to meet u, Devin!
I hope u enjoy ur stay in Seattle!
That place I was telling u about, Acme Bowl, has the best ITG machine in the state and the only Fiesta 2 machine as well. You'll usually see me there every Friday evening from around 8:45 'til roughly 11:30 getting my Pump on.

Friday nights used to be pretty crowded, but not so much anymore. The last few times I went (disregarding last week b/c the ITG computer kinda crashed) there weren't very many people. ITG usually has the waiting lines while lowly Pump waits for me every week.
Chances are that you will meet more members of the forum there (to name a few: APHR, Gerrak, Crab Hat, NSX-- o wait u met him already, etc).
O, and ITG is running again; it's got a ton of songs loaded too.

Hello all!
I'll be locating to Bellevue in a few days for work and was googling around and...
I found this forum while trying to do a search on ITG machines in the Seattle/Bellevue area. I personally don't play dance games, but I'm relocating with my fiance (and he is extremely spoiled by a well maintained and very custom loaded machine in Harrisburg) and I was hoping to find out more about the dance games community in the area. It looks like we'll be checking out Acme Bowl, but I would love recommendations from the locals as well! Please forgive any ignorance on my part with my lack of knowledge about the area and dance games.

Welcome to the Pacific Northwest, and congratulations on your fiance's new job! I'll try to give you a brief rundown of what we have here.
Some of the more popular machines in the area are the ITG and Pump it Up Fiesta 2 machines at ACME Bowl, the DDR extreme machine at Tacoma Narrows (I think? I don't play DDR much, so someone else should correct me if I'm wrong), and a few other rhythm games at Gameworks in Seattle (Technika 3, Taiko, GF/DM, Pop'n Music 14). There's also a Pump it Up PRO 2 machine pretty close to you in the Power Play in Bellevue Square, but I don't think people have been playing there much since ACME got Fiesta 2.
Hopefully our machines will live up to your fiance's standards.
Looking forward to seeing both of you around!

Thanks! I'm actually the one with the new job in the area, but he's going to be able to work remotely for now so he's movin' with me. We're from the PA/NJ area though, so Bellevue is a whole new place.
I browsed the forums a bit more and it sounds like ACME Bowl would definitely be the first place for us to check out! He plays mostly ITG... followed by DDR and the occasional PIU. I look forward to meeting people there!
