Yo all, Tada and I felt we had hijaxed the "Do You Drink?" thread long enough, so here we are.

Here is the site of the place we're thinking of going:

www.sbkaraoke.com

It has prices, location, even English songlists for those of you not so into the j-poppin'.  Please take a moment to look it over and then answer these questions:

1) Would you be interested?

2) When would be a good time to go for you?

Thanks!

-Chris

I wasn't the one making reservations when I went before, nor have I ever made them.  Plus, I'm a pretty bad leader...

OK, well I'm pretty tired from job-hunting, but I'll call sometime this weekend.  If they ask how many people, I guess I should say "4-6, I think?"

Tony will be hanging out with Laura, so I don't see why he won't be there.

From what Laura said, it seemed more a "maybe" than a "definitely" in regards to Tony, so i didn't want to include him 100%.

ancsik: "While likely, it's not guaranteed since I have no idea what my classes are going to throw at me (supposedly the worst is over after next week, but I really don't know)"

There's the official word.

That's...still about the same level of likeliness as before, I feel 0_o;;;

Ah well, I'll include him in the call and if he doesn't come we'll just all hate him, so things will balance out.

Does anyone know a good place to park?  I really hate Seattle driving, and would really like to know...

OK, making reservations for 7 on 3/3 now...for 5 people.

EDIT Haha, um right now isn't their business hours so um couldn't catch them yet.  I sent them an email though.  I'll keep you all updated.

Remember, the rate will be $30 per hour/however many people we have.  Are we doing this for 2 hours, btw?  I wrote them telling them this, basically:

Hello,
my name is Chris ______ and I would like to make a reservation for 7 pm on Saturday (3/3/2007) at SBK.
My #: _____________
My group plans to stay for 2 hours, and at this moment we will likely have 5 people, however we may have up to 7 or 8.
I look forward to hearing back from you,
Chris _______

Let me know if I need to change any details about the reservations.  Look forward to seeing you peeps on Sat at 6:50 pm sharp!

No, I'm j/k.  I've been looking forward to this and am almost 100% sure I'm coming.

Well, let us know ASAP =D I said 5, but that's including Tony if he comes.  Now my housemate is iffy on coming too, bleh.

Big question on my mind is if everyone is willing to go 2 hours?  Personally I'm cool with it (thus I reserved the room for that long) but if you all would rather something else, let me know.

I'm of the opinion that two hours is not enough. Tongue  But if that's all everyone can afford/wants to do, I guess that's what we have to do.  Maybe they can be longer if we have more of these meets in the future.

Well, I'm narrowing down the job search and am confident I will be employed in a week or so here, but until then I don't want to splurge so two is fine...besides, if we do more than 2 I think we'll burn everyone out, Tada    and we want everyone to go to karaoke again in the future, after all.

Well I know you said after 7 is tough for you with transit, but the place doesn't open until 7 anyways, so there's really nothing I can do.  The best accommodation I could provide is hold it as soon as the place opened.

Unless you want to have it later?  Be a bit more specific; I may still be able to reschedule it for later in the evening if everyone else agrees to it.

nah, you don't have to reschedule it because of me... i'm not even sure if i can even make it in the first place.

i kinda made plans with a friend that day which was why i said i might be bringing another person along. but we made our plans for like around 6 pm and maybe ending it around 8ish :\ and i thought she might like to tag along for some karaoke

Well I hate to prolong indecision, so I'll just say that rescheduling karaoke from 7 to 8 would be OK with me.  If everyone is OK with this, I will email the karaoke place; this will make it easier for Mike to join in.

OK, I'm going to email the karaoke place and ask them about rescheduling to 8 from 7 then.  Hopefully this will make it easier for Mike to come, and won't cause problems for anyone (though it seems only tada and laura are of concern).

@Mike: If you are bringing that girl, you do know that we might scare her away, right?  Particularly if she isn't into Japanese music/singing.

EDIT: I received a response from SBK, 8 is OK.  Thus, karaoke has BEEN RESCHEDULED TO 8PM-10PM.
