I've been hooked on EZ2DJ every time I travel up to CHQ. It's got a nice feel for a Beatmania Rip-off and is pretty fleshed out... even if it does use a foot pedal.

My wife and I recently all-perfected (not just high clear, but perfected :) Rhythm Tengoku for the GBA which is a fantastic game if you're on the road.

Rez? Taiko? EEE? What games do you play?

EZ2DJ is fun. I got to play it a bunch in Seoul since every arcade had at least 2 machines. I sometimes play DJMAX, since it's pretty much the same thing. It would be cool if we could get a few people on here to play it together.

DJMax? I'd have to remember my password...  I'd be up for it though.

I like Amplitude and the music puzzle games (EEE, Lumines) as well.

I'm an active premium player on DJMAX (Foy is as well). We should get a group together online some time :O

I was never much a fan of Amplitude. I always just wanted to play beatmania afterwards ;)

I kinda stink at Technic Beat- but nice call! I never could get around being in the right place at the right time. It seemed to me like I had to memorize where rings were going to be popping up in advance or I'd never have a chance. But, seriously, any rhythm game that includes SPLATTERHOUSE wins in my book ;D

Have you had a chance to play Ouendan2? I never got a chance to play the 1st US one, but I played the holy living shit out of the Japanese version.

Oh, have you guys played Band Brothers? That's always a fan-favorite at our bemani parties. We've had big groups play over a surround sound system which is awesome if everyone is semi-ok at it.

Yeah, this has to be my favorite non-bemani rhythm game. (Well, other than ITG2) It's really not that great until you get a bunch of people that know what they're doing, otherwise, it's total chaos. xD

I'm not a big fan of the MIDIs for it, but Band Brothers can be quite fun.  Never tried it with more than 3 people at once though.

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAT

I have a Sampling Masters folder labeled Technictix, is this related?

I love Sampling Masters, especially Aya and Mega. Shinji Hosoe has some good music outside of SM, and so does Aya (in some cases).

@Kevin, Zach: Sampling Masters members appear all over the place, both Aya and Mega had some part in the FF Tactics Advance soundtrack, IIRC.  Aya's site is in English if you want to see her super-huge (involvement in almost 90 projects) discography: http://saso.cocoebiz.com/

Band Brothers is a good time waster, I usually have it with me when I have my DS with me.  Which means I always have it with me for BYOB and often have it at Acme, it's just that no one else ever has their DS and I always forget to tell people to grab theirs.  Pro mode is just nasty, I don't have the coordination bewteen my thumb and index fingers to hit the pitch changes at the speeds the game requires for 4's and 5's.

I did play Lumines pretty intensely for awhile, but just stopped one day.  5 minute vs. rounds with Jerrad were fun though... not sure how we managed to go so long without somebody losing though, it's not easy to make a comeback with only 4 columns.  I also have Taiko, but don't play all that much.

Haha, I had no clue she was in the TGM series.

Lumines battles, anybody? I think my 60sec record is around 125, not that it's probably impressive to you guys. Tongue

Probably the only rhythm ticket game ever.
