June 15, 2007, 06:08:50 PM - ORIGINAL POST -

i tried this somewhere else, it ended up being fun for a little while.

concept:

ask a question.  one person at random answers the question and then asks another question.  another person answers that question and asks another question.  etcetera.

retroactive question answering is discouraged.  snooze you lose.

seirous or not serious questions or answers.  doesn't matter.  generally people chose non serious questions.

if someone answers at the same time that someone else answers and thus there are two replies, that's okay.  adds to the chaos and the loose structure, and that's a good thing.

back and forth between two people only is okay but not as fun.  give other people a chance.

whoever posts the 573rd answer and question gets a prize.

Q: Do you understand how "lip gloss be boppin'" or how telling Ms. Jackson that you are real 16 times has any bearing one being cool in the hip hop world?

No... Fuck the hip hop world.  Needs to die already.

Which do you hate more, hip hop or country?

Country, at least current country by a mile. There is really good hip hop like Slick Rick and DMX, but I can vouch that the only good country artists working today were either also working forty years ago or are actually "alt-country."

How are you dealing with this heat?

A: I deal with it by working next to a deep fryer all day in a kitchen. Oh wait....

But seriously, I haven't even noticed it being hot out. Everybody else is just whining.

A: Crash friggin' Bandicoot. I'll freely admit it. The original Naught Dog made ones are still some of the best crafted platform games to date IMO.

Q: What's your favorite platform game and why?

Q: Longest time you've spent on a Bemani machines (any kind) non stop

There was that time we had Tilt!'s machine on free play, and I was already there before that, so I'd venture a guess of about five hours. By myself, I'd cap out at two and a half hours.

edit: Nevermind, we were at D2SSR from noon until midnight-thirty, so 12 and a half hours of nothing but pad SM, Pop'n, IIDX, keyboard SM is my and I think a few other peoples' best.

What's the longest time you've gone without playing Bemani since you started? (mine is two months)

Over a year.  October 1999 - December 2000. (From my first games of DDR, to my next games of DDR Tongue)

Longest time you've gone without playing DDR/ITG? (I'm going on 4+ months currently, and don't plan to play either any time soon)

About a year from when I was 8 to 9. I might have played a game or two (literally) in that time period, but I certainly don't remember it. When I started playing again, I went from clearing 9s to failing 7s. :[

Q: what's your greatest sentimental object?

ChilliumBromide
Read July 12, 2007, 12:38:27 AM #320

A: This seems wrong to me, but honestly, my most precious keepsake (more of a collection of things than a single object) would be the original paper on which I wrote the following songs:
My Dream (what wasn't) (August 2005)
Still Love You (what was) (April 9th, 2005)
The End (what would be) (April 3rd, 2005)
After Death (what had been) (April 9th, 2005)
Rebirth (what could have been) (April 2006)
Me, Maybe (what should have been) (April 27th, 2005)
and most importantly:
Life was Fun (the end result) (October 9th, 2005)

All those songs were ultimately about my ex.  It was a very painful and unstable time for me.  Lasted a little over a year.  The relationship lasted 6 and a half months; she ended it.  I reacted initially by swearing incessantly for 2 hours, then crawled into a corner in my kitchen and tried to figure out what the hell was going on.  After about 3 hours of that, my mom came home, somehow managed to comfort me enough for me to speak, then I went back to my room, wrote Still Love You and After Death, then went and asked people for advice, finally found some kind words and shit from one of my friends, went back to school on Monday, immediately began looking for people who could distract me from Michelle, found one, hung out with her for 2 weeks, wrote Me, Maybe, found out that aforementioned girl thought I was a creepy, obsessive freak who wanted nothing to do with me, died, finished 8th grade with a B average, did nothing for a month, started talking to my sister's best friend, started hanging out with her a lot, went to Jazz camp, found some inner peace and shit, got back from Jazz camp, had a really trippy dream about Michelle, wrote My Dream, reverted to freak-out state for two weeks, started 9th grade, did fine for a month, got to the day before Michelle's birthday, called Michelle to tell her happy birthday, couldn't sleep, wrote Life was Fun at midnight, couldn't sleep, watched A+ average drop to C average over next 3 months, got it back up to a B average by mid-January, B+ after finals, trudged along for a while, got to April, remembered that April was the month Michelle dumped me, talked to her, got shit straightened out, wrote "Rebirth", still wasn't quite over her, began looking for grrlfranz, joined DDRFreak, trolled, flamewar w/ zeppy, went back to gaiafagging, found some girl who shared a couple interests w/ me, almost went out with her, didn't, went out with girl I'd met a year and a half ago (Tara) instead.  Is happy.  Good Ending.

Q: When was your first serious relationship (if any)?

discovolante
Read July 12, 2007, 07:30:07 AM #321

I don't think I've had a "serious" relationship just because that's the kind of people I and the people I like are. I guess at the very best you could count the relationship that I'm in the most serious and yet it's sooooo casual. I'm not sure.

What are your thoughts on double dating?

Q: longest relationship that ended?  (curious if anyone beats me.  my longest (and first) serious relationship was five and a half years.)
