So, who is all going this year? I plan on having another IIDX tournament and will probably bring my Pop'n ASC this year for some Carnival action. Pete (Kid Whatever) is DJing at the Saturday night dance, which should be awesome. Other then that, I don't know much about the activities.

I have a JPS2 and hard copies of every style, as well as memory card data with all songs unlocked for all but 7th style. If I can get someone to
guarantee replacement for
any damage at all
(I have almost literally scratch free discs), I will seriously consider lending it out.

Like I said before, we should maybe only play 9th and newer, to make things slightly more attractive for new players. 3rd might deter people with its ooooooglay graphics. At SC06, we were just playing 10th most of the time anyway, so four styles will be more than enough variety.
Also: We totally need to put up one of those PNWBemani.net flyers in the Bemani area.

I have a modded JPS2 that I'm planning on bringing, so it technically we could do IIDX on that.

News update:
Bemani will not be able to have it's own table out in the lobby, and we will not be able to have any 24 hour console play. That being said...
Room party, anyone?

Is it just me, or do you guys think someone has it out for us when it comes to SC?
- Roxor dies. No more donated machine.
- IZ dies. No more arcade machines, period.
- No Double Dare Revolution.
- No table for Bemani, and no 24-hour gameplay.

Well, I'll try to come next year with this, but I'll try to have it off the lined paper by then:

lol @ furiganized kanji at the lower-left. Though somehow Japanese manages to make it onto almost every page of notes I have ever taken. You're not alone.

I forgot what all of them meant except for 馬 almost instantly after jotting them down. That was in Japanese class, btw. xP
I can't actually hear the teacher from where I sit, so I just work on Blueprints or sketches (you can see some of my DT600 Blueprints on the other side) and look at the board every 5 seconds so I can at least learn
something
.
I emailed the Director of Programming and the Director of Operations for K-con about having my StepMania machine there this summer (I plan on getting a job over the summer on top of DTG, which I'm hoping will get me enough money to pay for it, and building it will just be a rip-roarin' good time. I'll just need to claim a quarter of the garage and I'm good to go.), and I'm hoping they'll accept my proposal. ('cause I'm not about to bring it there, set it up, and risk some drunken 400-lb Inuyasha destroying my priceless SM machine unless I can at least get free admission and a room)
When I finish this machine, I am SO going to be hosting a BYOB. xD
Also, I just got 220 new SM songs today, putting my current total at 839 (there are about 60 that are repeated though), including a ton of official charts from both ITG and DDR.

This is disappointing so far. I'm hoping we can at least get some import CS Bemani going in the console rooms. Otherwise this "Japanese culture" based convention will turn into people just playing Guitar Hero 2. That should be saved for something like PAX.
I read about the Naruto tournament being Clash of the Ninja instead of Naruto 4 too, that sucks for the Naruto fans. Anyone have beatmania US? Maybe we could play that.

I think about half the people in the forum have BMUS. ;P
And I'm sure someone could bring StepMania for you guys to play. Anyone here got a mac mini?

dancingtofu> regarding that sm cab... i think using concrete-filled pvc pipes isn't such a great idea.
the concrete, over time (soon), will just tear apart especially knowing how the other dancing game bars are abused
and another reason is... well, it's pvc pipes you're using :\ probably something
too
cheap to use
but it looks cool

A lot of people use just PVC bars alone, actually. I'll probably replace 'em with solid steel bars when I can, but packed concrete and PVC is actually a pretty tough mix. I'm confident that nobody at kumoricon will be capable of breaking them.

Ugh, yeah. But it's looking pretty hopeless... everything's just been going downhill ever since Roxor died.

I love how you say "sin RoXoR died" even though all that died was ITG.

even ITG didn't die, and it wasn't like roxor was moving forward with everything
Nobody ever got a glimpse of ITG3, and they had announced a preview that never came to light back at NAT 05 or 6 or whatever was in vegas.

Come to think of it, has RoXoR done anything else at all?

I was talking to Jon. It looks like we'll be able to have our own BEMANI spot in the console gaming room with 3 dedicated tvs. I guess my Pop'n tournament is still on~! I plan on just using 13 Carnival CS for the tournament. If anyone can help me out making a ruleset, that would be cool.
