So, who is all going this year?  I plan on having another IIDX tournament and will probably bring my Pop'n ASC this year for some Carnival action.  Pete (Kid Whatever) is DJing at the Saturday night dance, which should be awesome.  Other then that, I don't know much about the activities.

I'll be there (of course). We're still hammering out whether or not the arcade will be happening at all, but we may be able to get you a projector+screen and good sound system for that IIDX.

For those interested: Pete's set will (probably) be 2-3am Saturday night (Sunday am). BE THERE.

I should be staffing, as long as I can get signed up and everything. I was unable to attend a meeting I wanted to go to, which would have set up everything, I think. Sad

As long as you talk with Jon and get the OK, and are able to fill out a staff registration form by the 28th (the meeting on the 25th is your last real chance), then you'll be in as staff.

I know I'm going, and I'll be brushing up on my Tetris Attack starting in March.  I have a title to defend Cheesy

We should definitely have a BYOB sometime in that time frame so we can all get our practice.  Spring break, mayhaps?

I'm going to my eighth Sakuracon this year, because I am a big dork. Expect some Bemani karaoke. Wink

That may be fine for those of you that can /r/ days off, but for most of us, that won't work.  That, and I'm already dead by the end of every SC anyway.  No way I want to add another day onto that.

Having a BYOB a few weeks before the con would be cool though.  I was planning on holding another one on 3/17 or 3/24 at my place if people are interested.  Perhaps it can be a belated celebration of our new boards too, if no one holds one before then?

P.S. This is my 4th SC.

or talk to hot girls.

Ok, correct my if I'm wrong, since I haven't been to Sakuracon, but this is an anime convention, and not E3, right?

Anime girls are the easiest, Jonathon. Tongue Hot, on the other hand...

I don't think I'm going. Unless someone gets me in for free or something.

Yeah, the cosplayers and anime freaks kinda gave us strange looks. Where is the arcade going to be located this year? Next to the anime screenings was probably not the best place to avoid creepy cosplayers.

I thought the way it went is you don't get noticed at all unless you're a cosplayer.

And seeing as how I did sort of cosplay (and plan to again this year...), *smacks you*

I actually had a pretty good time just hanging out in the arcade all weekend last year, but if you were more into anime, it would probably be a really fun experience. I didn't check out any of the panels, but the dealer's room was pretty great. Just bring a lot of cash. Tongue

I do have to say that it was probably the best bemani experience I've had so far with the community.

Also, meeting ryan was cool.

I'm not sure if I'm going.

Honestly, the arcade was the best part for me... D: Pete and Kyle's shows were cool too, though. I'm going to be bummed if there isn't going to be an arcade. And I was gonna try to be staff... I should talk to jon/make up my mind or something errrmm

Easy = Gross and for the epic lose.

I'd feel out of place going to Sakuracon.

I decided not to show this year, but I'll probably be bringing in my StepMania machine for Kumoricon in September.  Depends on whether or not they'll let me and my sister in for free and supply the truck to move it.
If so, I'll totally be happy to bring it in.
If not, I doubt I'll be able to.
