The Bemani Trivia Game - Any Bemani game, DDR or otherwise.

Try to answer the trivia, using any means possible.

If you answer the trivia correctly (and show proof if it requires it) then you ask a new question.

The questions can be hard, easy, whatever - but they must be directly related to a Bemani video game, or something within those games. If a question goes unanswered for a week, I'll scratch it and someone can post a new one.

REVIVAL!

Question: Which mix (home or arcade) has the LEAST amount of songs available (total, after unlocks),

Japanese or US release? Either way, I'd have to guess the very first DDR arcade mix. I think there were only 12 songs or something really low, but I don't have any sources for my crazy claim.

1st Mix had 13 songs, as did Dancing Stage: Dreams Come True. DDR Oha Sta had 12 songs. I think, though, that the Gameboy version of Oha Sta has the fewest songs  - only seven.

All right, this is kind of lame, but here goes:

What month and year did ITG (the first version) go into beta?

I don't either. I will tell you though that it's definitely 100% before march 2004.  I met JSB for the first time in Feb 2004, and he was here to help beta test ITG.

After looking through this thread, I thought it would be fun if we brought this thread back from the dead. It seems to me that a lot of people here need to brush up on recent Bemani knowledge anyway.  Wink

But instead of one question, I want to try three questions first (though if you follow any BEMANI-related news recently, then this shouldn't be hard at all):

Easy: Name the DDR song that is inspired by a certain natural disaster in 2011.

Medium: Name the first (and so far only) dubstep song in a BEMANI game and the game in which it appeared.

Hard: Big video game tournaments are not limited to only men! Name one of the female winners (real name or in-game name) from the Konami Arcade Championships with the year and the BEMANI game from which she won.

Amber won the Konami DDR regional tournament in 2009 in Seattle?

Really? I didn't know that. Although I'm talking about more recent and bigger tournaments here, like top-class-Japanese-and-Asian-players big (nationals at the very least). Notice how I capitalized "Konami Arcade Championship" (look it up)?
So since you referred to the wrong tournament, you're technically wrong.  Tongue

I want to say the first Dubstep song in a Bemani game was Star Trail from IIDX Lincle.

The genre is officially listed as "Trance," so no. Parts of the song did have me fooled for a while though!

Oh, yeah, I totally ignore what IIDX lists for genres since a lot of the time they are either wrong or completely made up, like "forktronica" and "happy handbag." I just go by how the music actually sounds, LOL.

Bonus Question! (or Expert, for the sake of continuity): How many songs in IIDX have the word "EPIC" in their genre? Name all of them.

Because I'm a nice person, I'll post the answer to the second question since, in retrospect, that question is probably easier than the first one if you just looked it up. I still want to see if anyone can answer the others, though!
