Didn't I already bitch about this?

The fact that it's the cheapest SuperNOVA cab in the state (possibly the region) is nice, but now I'll need to rely on StepMania to get my Moonlight Shadow fix. :? (AKA the third DDR song I taught myself on the piano by ear.  First was HVAM, which is surprisingly easy no matter how you slice it, second was Abyss, which is easy.)

Seriously, they should have, like, warned us, so we could have opposed it. :/

Holy fuck.

Steven, you managed to post an entire post that I could almost understand with only 2 spelling errors and a handful of conventions errors.

You get a star for trying.

According to ddrfreak's machine locations this place no longer has a DDR cabinet.

so I went to Fry's and decided to stop by the Family Fun Center while I was in the area. Regardless of what DDRFreak says, the machine is still there.

Still 2 tokens for 3 songs. 1P side feels like it might have a somewhat weak sensor on either the U or D arrows (not sure which), 2P side felt perfect. Sound was a teensy bit quiet but I could still hear okay. Pads were shoved up against the screen but there was enough room for me to move them back a bit. I dare say this is probably the best machine overall in the Portland area!

Guitar Hero AC is there too of course (game's like a plague), nothing else new except that horrible 3D Justice League beat-em-up. They still have Percussion Master and it's 3 tokens lolol. Other games include After Burner Climax, House of the Dead 4, Time Crisis 3, Mario Kart GP, an Ultracade, standup Crazy Taxi, Mocap Boxing, Police 911 2, and other stuff

Didn't get to play on 2P side myself, but a friend played on it and at least passed stuff so it's not unplayable.  1P side worked well, seemed like a couple of dead sensors in U or R.  Volume was kinda low.  You could hear it, but nobody else watching can.  You get a good crowd because the machine is in a nice, central location with ample standing room, and the line for laser tag is right behind it.  Apparently I had people taking pictures while I was playing.

Otherwise the location is great for everything else.  Batting cages, go karts, 2 minigolf courses.. something that I have missed since moving to Portland, decent selection of arcade games and good prices on them.  Also their Guitar Hero doesn't lag at all.  For once I feel like I didn't waste my money playing GH Arcade when I feel the calling of Cliffs of Dover.

I give it a 3 for DDR, 4 for everything if you're alone, and an easy 5 for a fun day if you go with a group of friends

I played at this location for the first time this last weekend and was pleasantly surprised.  They've changed token pricing to 4 tokens/$1.00 starting at $1.00 so you no longer have to buy $20 work of tokens to get this value.

The machine was in decent condition, the pads were actually a little far from the machine, I had to push them forward a few inches.  The 1p pad was 'playable' both the front and back arrows weren't very sensitive, the 2p pad was in good condition though I can definitely tell the back arrow is missing a sensor or two.  Like the others said the machine is a little quiet but once I started playing I was able to hear just fine.

The room its self seemed to have a nice breeze/draft going through it which was quite nice and refreshing, and the bathrooms were only about 20 feet away bordering the room.  My only guff was that there was no nearby trashcan for throwing away tissues/sweat rags/waterbottles/etc, but honestly that's a pretty insignificant complaint.  The entire "Family Fun Center" location had a much nicer arcade/atmosphere than I'm used to (usually the bowling alley/go kart type places in Beaverton) and, furthermore, the people themselves seemed less annoying/more behaved (no little kids jumped on the pad while I was playing and no people tried to talk to/interrupt me with superfluous conversation).

I give this location an A and this machine a B+.  Even though it's about 20 miles away from Beaverton the drive is worth it to me because price per game is cut in half from what I'm used to ($1.00/3 songs), I think I'll keep going here until Big Al's in Beaverton is built.

Ya, playing in a true arcade has always been my preference too. Unfortunately, I've been relegated to playing in bowling alleys for nearly the last two years now. It can be very distracting and sort of depressing.
