Huh, I'll have to say hi some time if I see anyone that looks a bit familiar.  Good to know whatever is left of the community goes to one location, hahaha.

I'll stop buy the Vancouver Big Al's later today and see if anything changed there, I work really close by so it's pretty easy to check.

Playing on the Infinity as we speak.

P1 bottom right and top right get stuck all the time. P2 bottom left gets stuck a lot and bottom right misfires a ton.

I can see why this didn't generate much traffic at the Vancouver location...

EDIT: Also, is the machine running an MK6 or something?  It was very clearly not running in 720p mode and it really looks like shit because of it.

so that infinity cab is pretty wrecked. I tried to mod it because it had some pretty bad pads and it lasted all of a day. The sensors are pretty shot and the P1 bottom right has a stuck bolt, meaning we couldn't even get the arrow up to fix any issues it had at the time. I recently met the head tech at Big Al's Beav and he came out to fix our buddies DDR extreme cab. We let him know about these problems to come and i'm sure with a consistent fan base of players he will have people working on it soon.

Kind of disappointing, oh well.  Hopefully they fix it up soon so I can play it more often.  Is the P2 side a little better now?

P1 side on Infinity is pretty playable now. Not sure if I would say 100%, as I felt like I had a miss or two that weren't completely my fault. But still, no total arrow sticks which was good.

P2 side still has a randomly sticking DL arrow though.

P1 has pad misses somewhat frequently, might just be the sensors being unresponsive.  P2 is still pretty terrible and DL sticks all the time.  I was told that someone would be working on it "soon" when the machine was first moved to the Beaverton location.. :/

P1 on Infinity is fucking garbage now, DL gets stuck all the time and I get pad misses on UR and UL too.  This was on Friday.

Paul Yukari (P) For the little it's worth, Beaverton finally did a fair amount of maintenance on the Infinity machine for anyone who cares about that. Still not where it ought to be, still a fair amount of pad misses, but no longer obviously sticking on 3+ panels for a month or longer.

...I want PIUPro2 back...

Meh.  As good as the machine itself is, I am really bored of the Pro2/ITG3 (and SN2, for that matter) song list.  Infinity would be great if the pads worked at all.

Upgrade kit for the DDR machine would be the best thing ever though

Oh yeah, Infinity is 4 songs for $1 now, probably as a consolation prize for playing on it.

Sadly there isn't anything that can be upgraded on the DDR end unless Big Al's decided to buy one of those awful US X2 cabs which I don't think they would do OR import a Japanese red, black or white cab. Which I also don't think they would do.
R1 and Dave N Busters are due for DDR 2014 White cabs on eamuse (all in english) in the late spring or early summer but we have no idea which locations will receive cabs. I doubt Big Al's would buy anything not in English so an import cab is out nor would they consider paying the fee for eamuse since it's only being used for 1 game. I am however surprised that Big Al's hasn't considered Pump Prime yet but I can see how that not being online as well would be pretty lame. Hopefully Kyle Ward can finish up this new 9 panel dance game he is working on and get an arcade into Big Al's in the coming year.

There are a few X3 cabs in Vancouver running in SN2 cabs but I'm not sure if they're running legal hardware or not.

eAmuse is out since that's R1 exclusive.

SN2 could use some work on the P1 side, I was getting a couple of weird misses on the up or right arrows, wasn't really paying attention to which

Yeah I don't live anywhere by Beaverton so I don't do pad work on that cab any more, when it was in VC I did but i'm sure it needs touching up these days.
The only X3 cab I know of is at University Place, WA at Narrows arcade which I know is legit hardware.
I was told that Lazer Ports extreme just got new sensors, counter sunk brackets and panels and that the X1 running ITG is going to get older style pads with the same treatment. I'm going there tomorrow to go check it out.

Sweet, the X1's getting not-shit pads?  Kind of sucks that lazerport is depressing as fuck but whatever I guess

Yeah the X1 will be getting DDR Extreme pads that will be counter sunk and raised for sensitivity. It will still be running ITG but I think he wants it to run Simply Love eventually. Even wants to make a Simply Love Marquee. Once this all comes to fruition I have his permission to work on pads and add songs. Oh also the offset is currently horrid but that will eventually be fixed as well.
It would be nice to have any place that has ITG and DDR with good pads honestly.

So um, I stopped by Laserport... I mean, YNOT (what a stupid name) to check out the machines and they're both gone. What? That Extreme had been there for years and years in shitty condition, it finally gets fixed and now it's gone?

Yeah I stopped by on Saturday as well and they were both gone. I believe the owner is still working on them at his work shop. I'm in contact with the guy on Sows and he seems to know what he is talking about DDR and ITG wise. I just shot him a message to see whats up. So once I get the word that things are finished up and make a post and maybe we can get a meet up going.

Double POST lol
Because LP didn't have the cab lol I went to Big Al's and SN2 P2 side was damn near perfect, I hate how far away the cab is from the screen but other than that, yes the panels are low but they are perfectly sensitive. I managed two PFC's one on Venus and the other on True Love. Also I got two misses on Pluto Relinquished Expert so I'd honestly give that pad a 9/10. I didn't really play on the P1 side but noticed they arrows were pretty darn sensitive.
It seemed like lighter players picked the P1 side and did just fine but if heavier players played on it the pads would stick. I could most likely fix this fairly easily.
I did managed to nearly full combo Paranoia Respect on doubles so they aren't all that bad but they for sure need a tiny bit of sensor rotation and maybe some of the modding pulled out.
Didn't even go to the pump cab because lawlz.

lol

Well, keep us posted on when the machines return. I recently moved and am now no longer within walking distance to Big Al's, I'm actually closer to Laserport now so I'm totally down to show up for a mini-gathering if it ends up being a worthwhile place to play.

Went for the first time in a while and the Prime is in.. better condition.  I still get pad misses but arrows don't get stuck like before.  Wish it had a less burned in monitor and hardware that supported 16:9 but what can you do?

Do you mean the Infinity Cab at Big Als? or did they upgrade it? I know DnB has Prime but I wasn't aware Big Al's had it?

Errr, yeah, the Infinity cab.  Whoops.  I've been going to D&B a lot more than Big Al's as of late since an SN2 and a meh Pump cabinet aren't particularly compelling.
