February 22, 2011, 08:31:26 PM - ORIGINAL POST -

This is a placeholder post. I will post more specifics later. At the moment this event is intended to be a casual get together for everyone in the local Portland metro area and any of the GODS from Team PoOR to mingle and play ITG2 again.
The format of this get together will be simple, each person needs to bring a memory card full of edits / stepfiles they like, keeping in mind the memory limitations of a vanilla ITG2 box (35 or so songs max... keep it sane). We will need one person to bring a laptop in case we need to change the gain on OGGs / change syncing on a file etc.
Uhhh... Who's interested? Give me times that will work you you ladies / gentlemen and we can figure something out. If this sparks enough interest I'll talk to the management about throwing the machine on Event Mode for a fee which I will personally cover.

I'd drive down for this more or less just as an excuse to go to Voodoo Donuts again.

I'd definitely be down for this as well. Anytime during the weekend is a good time.

FYI: If you're thinking the ITG cab at the Lloyd Center; it currently has a purple screen, it's playable...just everything has a heavy purple tint.

I was there 2 days ago, no purple screen. I will ask the management to degauss it. The left side is excellent right now, right side has trouble with flat footed play and can't take heel toe, right arrow in left side drops freezes like no tomorrow. I will attempt to rectify this situation in the near future via rotation, if that fails I will talk to the management about sensors (which may or may not happen, just do not get your hopes up).

This is an awesome idea, and I'll definitely make the trip up to Portland for such a get-together. I still have numerous folders of my favorite R21 songs from 2006-2008. It's hard to believe ITG2 was being developed 6 years ago. It's clearly been far too long since I last saw anyone from the music game community.

Okay, so this confirms Wesley so far (and hopefully his laptop). Weekends work best for him and the rest of humanity, so I believe this will have to be on a Friday night or a Saturday / Sunday. There are at least 3 other people who have expressed interest via AIM, they need to come out an not be shy!

weekends are best for me. I just have to figure out what simfiles I actually have left on my computer since I lost my old USB drive. But hell I'll play ITG songs since I've barely been at Tilt at all lately

Tilt?

I'm down. I was unaware that there was a legitimate portland ITG community. I've only met 3 or 4 ITG players since moving here a year ago so...Yeah I'm down.

I'll bring my laptop and maybe some doubles charts to play if I feel like playing.  Laptop only has one working USB port and battery life sucks unfortunately so while anyone's welcome to use it it's not necessarily useful. Tongue
