Please answer three questions promptly when you post:

Location:
-Ground Kontrol
-Big Al's
-Clackamas TC
-Chaos Café* (would require us to reserve space at specific date and time and bring in our own equipment)
-Private Residence (where?)

Date:
-September
-October
+-Halloween?
November
+-Vet's Day Weekend?

Tournament:
-Heavy Bracket
-Standard Bracket
-Doubles
-Pump It Up: Pro (BigAl's only)
-Team

My opinions can be found in the next post.

Chris (JKWN) is coming to Portland/Vancouver in about a week (starting the 11th I think) and while we were planning on hitting Big Al's at least twice during the time he's here, he's never been to Ground Kontrol before. I think a meetup at either location is at least necessary, but which one you guys want is up to you.

I also kind of wanted to see the alleged SuperNOVA 2 at Sunset Lanes, but I'm probably in the minority there.

My vote:
Big Al's, next week, any tournament but Standard
GK is fine too

lol? the machine is very real, but the pads are completely inconsistent (and there's nothing else worth playing in their arcade)

Are full combos doable on the machine? I really wanted to rack up some easy AAA's but I guess there's the WONDERFUL SuperNOVA at Big Al's for that too...

If it feels like working. I would sometimes play a set and not have any pad fuckups, then in the next game the 1P Left arrow starts sticking at random times. It's annoying.

Also I haven't gotten any unlock codes to work on that machine for some reason (although I've only attempted two different codes on two different days)

You don't want us to party hard in your honor?

Ethan, next weekend might be too short-notice to put on the records, and if by next weekend you mean the 13th or 14th, then it's a no-go for me because I'll be in Longview being SCOTTISH AS FUCK.

Not on my actual birthday, plus it's a Sunday. But I was actually going to go to Ground Kontrol on October 11th to celebrate it anyways with friends d:

Ah well, even if we don't have a tournament or a get together we should all get together so you guys can meet Chris and maybe Max (Cart/el trebek) who I've invited to come hang out.

That was a while ago now.  Who knows what condition it is in now.  Trying to find what's wrong with the pads on that machine is half the game right there!

It's a great machine, though.. it's one of the few SN2s, it's located where it won't get any screen glare, there's plenty of room around the machine.  I think it's $.75 a game, though.. that and they charge you money for water (like $.25 service fee for the cup)

I'd like to see what they'd do if a mid-large sized group showed up for just DDR.. though it could be a short-lived gathering if the machine is unusable

I'd love to meet more people (met 3 new people today), but again, if you're thinking this coming weekend, it's a no-go.  Although I will ironically be fairly close (10-20 minutes on bike) to Bigals, I'll be at the Highland games getting my Scot on.
