I've moved to Oregon for a summer job in the beginning of this summer, and I went to find some DDR locations, the first one I tried was the Eaton's Internet Cafe, I went there, the place wasn't there. After speaking with the locals, it turns out that the owner had a heart attack 6 months ago. Thus the location is down. Then I went to the Wunderland at Beaverton, was a pretty good place, nickel arcade and all. But I went there this Wednesday and the machine is gone. They said that it wasn't making enough money. Funny that I was there 3 times a week and the last time was on the Sunday before that Wednesday...
Funny that nobody updates the location tracker. meh.

So I'm off DDR machine hunting again. Sad

If you can catch the 56 or 54 from your place, just go to GK or Avalon.  It'll take you a while longer to get there, but it's worth it.

Sorry to hear about the machine being gone.  I guess they're really serious about getting rid of them.

Beaverton Wunderland got rid of their machine? Huh. Maybe nobody was playing there because the pads were getting shitty and nobody was fixing them.

If you're in the Beaverton area, try the Century 16 at Cedar Hills. Supernova for 2 tokens and the 2P side is excellent. I'm probably going to be there for a little bit tomorrow so I'll be sure to check out the 1P side since I completely forgot to play on that side last time haha.

Otherwise, what Tofu said, Ground Kontrol and Avalon are the best places to play in northern Portland.

All you need to know is Avalon isn't good for anything at all... don't even go.

Avalon's ballin'.  You trippin' nigga.

And by that, I mean, "if you can get in free or discounted and the pads don't decide they hate you and DMX is working and you like racing games, fighting games, shooters, and multicades and you have at least 2 friends with you, Avalon's pretty fun."

I'm not gonna play DDR much at all except at Milwaukie any more.

At GK I have a lot more fun playing Galaga, Joust, and Pinball, and I can't get serious scores at the Avalon.

well, according to Wunderland's website, DDR is gone from the Milwaukie location too.

If you want to play cheap DDR, better do it at Avalon or Gateway while you still can.

Wow, now that I think about it, absolutely NO good places to play come to mind when it comes to DDR in Portland :/  Everyone lets their pads get to the point of where it's not fun to play due to pad misses, and they never fix them   I'm sorry Wang, but I can't think of any locations right near you that are worth going to.  I would say your best bets are

Supernova at (where was it BBH?) I think Family Fun center in Wilsonville (about 15 min drive w/ no traffic) has good pads and is relatively cheap from what I've heard.

ITG2 at Lloyd center tilt has dissapointed me a little bit lately, but I think the pads there are still very good.  It's expensive though.

PIUPro is in Vancouver and is a great location and brand new machine but it's a far drive (which is why I'm not playing there anymore Cry) expensive, and, well, a different type of game.

At Malibu Raceway there is a DDRMAX2, but I'm not sure of the pad condition.

Other than that, I'm not really sure.  Anyway, hopefully this helps.

Hey now. Ground Kontrol's right pad is excellent, and the left isn't bad either. Avalon's are kind of bad to begin with and they're declining. The right ITG2 pad is great, the left is horrible, and I <3 ITG2.

Has anyone been to Milwaukie to verify yet?
'cause if it's gone, I'd like to try and find out where it's headed, and if it's staying in the area, 'cause it's the only machine other than Pump Pro I've ever used with a superior P1 side.

It sucks now. I doubt they'll ever fix those pads.  Sad

don't forget there's a Supernova at the Century 16 in Beaverton. The 2P side is really good, 1P side has a sticky sensor or something.

Doe anyone happen to know which BEMANI games Wunderlands have right now?  I was thinking about visiting the Avalon at some point.

I don't think Avalon has any more Bemani. Even the Dance Maniax 2nd Mix Append was gone last time I went.

I don't know about other locations, there were a couple Guitar Freaks 9th Mix machines floating around some of ther other Wunderlands but I have no idea if they're gone too. The website says nothing about them, but their games list is outdated anyway.
