I think I have a fix for it. Whether or not I'll get it installed by the tournament is anyone's guess. If not, I'll just reload the ITG2 theme for the tournament.

ITG3?!?  So you changed it from just adding the songs...  I might have to drive up there today and play a few games...  I need to take a study break from these boring ass classes...

So the machine is currently reverted to ITG2 because of this crashing issue. The ITG3 theme and OpenITG are both installed now, though, so it's actually running OpenITG's default new theme. The machine basically needs extra RAM, which I tried to install today and was met with the Boxor just refusing to boot.

I thought we agreed to not making long songs 2 stages and keeping it as it is as long as no one abuses it. And holy shit EVNT got a 98.80 on Epileptic Crisis

EVNT was Kevin playing either last night or this morning.

ITG Rebirth has been resynced. Let me know if anyone finds any problems. It seemed fine at the tournament today, but you never know.

According to Eddie from Bemanistyle, via twitter, some lawyers from Konami have been hitting up local arcades in Nor and SoCal asking about where arcades with import BEMANI games got them.  Hopefully this isn't bad news.  I'm sure a post will be made on Bemanistyle when things are clarified.

I understand all the licensing issues, but I never thought that anybody would do anything about these games being imported. Keep us updated on any more posts on this situation - it's definitely kinda creepy to hear about lawyers scoping things out.

Yeah that is pretty scary. I'm hopin there not seriously considering re-taking the machines. That would screw over just about every bemani arcade over here.

If they're asking "where they got them" it's probably to track down on the machines that are leaving the country: aka they're going after the exporter/importers, probably not the arcade machines themselves.

Even still, I don't see why they care that much. Is it seriously just legal issues?

Best case scenario: they're trying to track down exporters so they can get DDR Extreme arcade sales data for the US and better represent us in their future releases.

Worst case scenario: they're confiscating unlicensed machines and shutting down folks like Coin-Op Express who help get those machines imported.

Even worse case scenario: North Korea has made a nuclear missile that runs on imported arcade machines.

I'm figuring it's neither the best or the worst.  Honestly couldn't say for sure even if I had more information about it.  Konami's motives often don't make sense to me.

Was at acme today. I had a fantastic day of getting new ITG scores, which I'll post in the accomplishments thread.
I'm not completely sure, but every now and then it seemed like the up arrow on 1P side was giving me some greats and misses. Nothing to extrodinary, but on pandemonium I missed I think 6 arrows on the big death run and I KNOW I hit them. Maybe I'm just being retarded and small stepping TOO much, but eh, whatever. Just thought I'd post it.

Just a quick FYI on the DM V2 machine:

Last time I was there, pads and foot pedal were all working fine.   However, it looked like the hinge pin holding the foot pedal in was sticking way out and maybe about to fall out.

FYI,
Acme will likely be losing the old school DDR Max 2 cabinet as it has slowed down considerably.  Do any locals want to buy it to take home?  2400.00, you haul.  2500.00 delievred to your GROUND LEVEL unloading location in the Seattle/Tacoma area.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Damn! I loved DDR Max 2. I wish it wasn't leaving Acme.

I don't have enough "liquid funds" to make a purchase this big at this moment, but I am interested. If it's available in a month or two, I'd be in a better position.

that max 2 would so be mine, but this kid will keep dreaming. Sad to hear it has to go.

Have anything lower than that? Because you should totally downgrade to the lowest DDR possible. Just for shits and giggles.

Bill,

We are pending all kinds of craziness (potential move to California among other things) but we have a CD for exactly 2,500 coming available on Sept. 18 and, once we know what we're doing, REALLY REALLY REALLY want this machine. Any chance you can wait 2 weeks for an answer? :O

Laura, depending on the area you're moving to in Cali, there's currently an Extreme machine for sale in Los Angeles on Ebay for local pickup.

I'm not trying to detract from Bill's sale, it's justa  lot easier to pick a machine up down there, as opposed to moving it all teh way from Washington.

Right, which is why I said maybe. Wink Basically, Tony's gone through a LOT of job interviews, some local, some in CA. We're staying unless one particular company he really wants to work for gives him an offer, which we'll know around the time that CD is up, hence the 2 weeks.
