The machine is not planned to be pulled for about 3-4 more weeks, so lot's of time there.  Sure Laura, let me know when you know if you want it.  I do not think you have much competition for it.  Yes, that would be a real pig to haul to California.

Can someone please take off the long version thing on ITG please? I thought we agreed that this wouldn't be turned on if long custom songs aren't a problem

^ 5th Mix no-bar tourny FTW!

Taking my ideas eh?  Though I agree that'd be a kick ass tournament.

We had one of those a few years ago; it was called Let's Groove 4.

I remember that fondly... 1x, no freezes to suck at holding, and nothing over a 9... the only tournament I could ever have a chance to place in. Wink

Did you actually have 4 of these events, or did you just pick a random number when deciding the name?

We actually had four of these events. I only went to LG3 and LG4 because I was a small little kid during the time of the first two. Didn't stop me from going to DDR Magic 3 though, I guess,

Even *I* wasn't at LG1. LG2 holds some fond memories, though... Paradise still had a Solo back then Wink

Edit: Wait, wait. Kevin, you're wrong! It was LG5 that was 5th mix. LG4 was that tournament at Bowlero that ran for like twelve hours and the speakers broke and people got so bored that they started making videos about HOW BORED THEY WERE. Hahahahahahaha.

Might start coming here again now that I have a car. :x Can't be bothered to play dancing games at home anymore, but I still have a bit of fun in the arcades.  Speaking of, anyone wanna buy a Blueshark metal pad? :b

Man, a year ago I would've jumped at that.  But now I've also lost interest in playing at home, sold off my Cobalt Flux, and only play in the arcade now.
I blame it on nobody developing a working PS2/PC->360 adapter so I could enjoy the awesome mixes that are Universe 1 & 3.

Just FYI, the Guitar Freaks machine currently has no sound at all.   Speakers appear offline.

I noticed that when I was there; my friend just bumped the left speaker a bit and it started working again.
But that was a temp fix of course...

Awe, no wonder it was working when the tech's checked it.
FYI, the amplifiers for GF are located inside the left speaker that is hanging on the side of the GF cabinet.  It has it's own seperate power cord.  If no sound, pull the game forward and look back there to insure it is plugged in.
BTW, Acme staff has been told not to mess with you guys when you are doing us favors by checking things out, rebooting games, etc.  Just drop my name, that is the password, hahaha.

Got my car back earlier than expected today so I guess I'm heading to Acme for a bit!

Awesome, Bill. Smiley  I've never had many problems with staff regarding resetting a machine or cleaning... just with putting website graphics on a few of them to find them not there later. Tongue

I hope the staff is not removing that.  I would think that they would leave it alone.  I will leave word that it should be left there.  But could just be thugs that like to rip at things.

Aaaand I'm back!

Thanks for keeping everything in immaculate condition! Hopefully I'll be able to come every Saturday to feed the machines quarters.

@Bill, I cannot confirm staff is doing it; however, just days after putting the last set of them up, they were all taken off.

Normally someone just hanging out will rip them off half-way, leaving a corner of paper or tape still lingering. I've seen that done too, so it made it seem like Acme may have been upset about previous ones being ripped off and took them down before that could happen.

Next time I go to put some up, I will redesign them a bit and put them up so they won't be able to be easily ripped off. Smiley

Gorilla Glue that shit!

haha, but seriously don't do that. It's a terrible idea.
Was there tonight everything was in working order except ITG2 stole some quarters Sad
But I kept lightly bumping the coin slot, and then after like 3 sets, the 4 quarters it stole got registered oddly enough, so.....I didn't lose money I guess. Just letting you know the coin slot has been having problems

Sorry about not fixing the long version stuff this weekend guys, I've come down with some kind of illness (cold? flu? who knows). I'll probably be back up and running by next weekend though.

Hey no ones pushing you. Just get better, and fix it whenever you can.

Bill, I know you prefer this stuff getting phoned in but I forgot to write down the number; I was getting dropped freezes on the 2P side of Supernova. It's either the left panel or the right panel, I'm not really sure which since it mostly occurred during the freeze jumps in the MAX songs.

Also, argh at little kids running across the pad when you're playing. >_>

Edit: Also, I know volume is a tough balancing act for you, but Supernova is pretty quiet. Part of that might be due to MAX2 being right next to it (which will resolve itself when MAX2 is gone, which I wanna buy but I have no place to put it Sad), but if people are having, shall we say, a lively game of air hockey, it can also be hard to hear the music. If both MAX2 are being played and there's a rousing game of air hockey going on, it's downright impossible to hear SN. I don't think it needs a large increase, just a bit so that it's actually audible in those situations. I can't imagine what it'd be like trying to play it during a busy Saturday night.

Were you there today N?

because I saw this kid playing ITG and kids kept running over the pads while he was in the middle of a song. I love kids, but god I wanted punt them so bad when I saw that. I mean shouldn't it be instinctual to them to AVOID being crushed by hi caliber arrow stomping? apparently not.

Also, GHOST Squad seems pretty loud. When I'm played Vertex today, some kids were on that machine and I honestly could barely hear ITG at all. I mostly was timing the song by feeling the bass vibrations lol.

So bill, does this mean acme staff won't mess with us if say for example one of the arrows on ITG craps out and we open it up to take a look to see whats up? Just clarifying, because I don't want to miss interpret the privilege that has been bestowed upon us.

That was me, and I'm 22 dammit. :b That same kid actually made me fail The Least 100 Seconds on Supernova too, thankfully it was my last song so I didn't mind too much. Sorry I didn't introduce myself, by the way. I did get a peak at your name while you were playing ITG, but I didn't want to interrupt your gameplay. Also sorry for taking so long to pick a song while you were waiting. :b I played some ITG3 songs at home earlier so I would know what to expect but had trouble recognizing them by sound at the arcade. XD

Out of curiosity, can an admin change my name to nekura? Not sure why I registered n (probably laziness). Thanks! :3
