Those CCFL tubes are super fragile. Gotta be careful when you're inside those arrow cavities.

Yeah...i'm pretty sure i've dropped a screwdriver and broken one before. Angry

And..awesome on the additions.  There's sooo much good stuff made by the community that's worth playing.  And I don't mean dragonforce.

Bill, Arcade Infinity is closing down for good now.  It looks like they've put up some machines for sale.  I don't know if you are interested in getting anything at all, but info about the machines has been posted here...

Thanks for the info.  I am very saddened by Jack Tao's AI closure.  Sad sign of the times.

If only Technika weren't so expensive... having one of those in the PnW would be awesome.

The AI closure affects me in a personal way - I am from SoCal and I have a lot of memories associated with this place (good, bad, neutral... in the end, stuff to think about)

As long as I've been going to that arcade, they would shift machines in and out, but would always, ALWAYS keep their Typing of the Dead cabinet running, and in the same spot for years. It's the only place I've ever been to that had that cab Cheesy

Some of the cool spots in Diamond Plaza (the strip that AI is in) have shut down over the years. Didn't think it would happen to AI but oh well.

Definitely a sign of the times. :/

How's it going everyone?  When do you guys usually play?  I would like to come by someday and play.

The machine in Spokane sucks balls.  The USB cards don't work at all! Sad

If you on any random afternoon, I'd say there's a 75% chance you'll see Gerrak XD
..just kiddin'

NSX and I hit up Acme nearly every Saturday night, from around 8P to 1AM. It's also common to see Rudo at that time. I'm considering getting there earlier on Saturday afternoons in the future though, so as to avoid the traffic of a FULL (and noisier) arcade as typically seen 7P-11PM.

Changed my mind.  Breaking myself in a couple hours here, for lack of anything better to do.

Neko's Seattle note #1 - Seattle airport security has NO idea what to do when they've lost one of my bags and i'm raging.  They legitimitaly looked scared....which ironically calmed me down.

I fly about 6 times a year and I've never lost any luggage. I think you just got unlucky...that or Horizon Air Alaska Airlines > all others.

@Scott:  I've had luggage lost so many times that I refuse to travel with more than a single carry-on.  I can actually pack two weeks worth of clothing, video games, computers, etc into one small suitcase.  It must be an airline thing. Smiley

Checked baggage is definitely a hit or miss thing by person from what I've seen: I've had baggage issues once in my life, and that was during a return trip from Florida on a 100+ degree day and reducing the plane's weight would prevent damage to the runway or plane (the runway was starting to soften); we were informed beforehand the number of our bags which were in containers being held until later flight and the bags were delivered to our door the next morning.  Inconvenient, yes, but they made an explicit effort to not cause further inconvenience by informing us of full details beforehand and not requiring us to come back and get the bags.

That said, packing lightly enough to avoid checking anything makes everything a lot nicer - we print boarding passes online, walk straight to security,  and skip baggage claim on the other side.  It's obviously not entirely possible in all cases, but when you can manage it, it is definitely worthwhile.  Of course, enough people have picked up on this that the overhead bins can be filled to capacity when only two third of the passengers are on board.

Heads up to Bill or anyone with a monkeywrench, the corner screw bracket on the right arrow of the player 1 side on the itg3 machine is loose. I was there with Tony and Laura and they noticed it too. While the screw didn't come out or hamper scores, it was making a great deal of noticeable noise during gameplay, I don't want it tone a problem, and it should be fixed soon I hope.

The down arrow on the right side also has a screw loose on the upper right bracket. I also think both sides have given occasional pad errors, hoping it can get cleaned before too long. Also, as per an earlier call I made, would you mind either turning down the Terminator machine or else switching it in position with, say, one of the racing games or something? Whenever it's being played I just hear BANG BANG BANG BANG instead of any music. Makes my Determinator into just Terminator Wink. Well I thought that was witty anyway....

Thanks Bill!
