Hey if you got a USB that works you should install the updates. There's two so far, adds some charts and fixes some stability issues with some USB drives being used. Just put them both on the root of the drive and plug it in, they auto-install.

And if anyone isn't playing with a USB don't forget to enter the Full-Mode command after starting your game to get access to all the songs. It's on a sticker on the front of the machine (ps it's an m-run).

Also I think the screen settings in the game need to be changed to widescreen. Davyn's right about the bass; it doesn't sound right, especially on Com'Back. Other than all that, I like how it's all the way in the back corner. Oh and the pads are good too.

I also thought there was not enough bass, even fully turned up.  Thought it might have just been due to a poor quality small woofer.  Sounds like this should have better bass, we will check the speaker.  As well, will see if there is a setting for wide screen.

This game's life bar is super harsh when you let go of a freeze. Also the S15 chart for Step is one of the worst charts I've ever seen.

Some versions of Pump that I've seen treat a freeze like a long string of regular steps (your combo meter rapidly goes up while holding one), so it might treat them that way for life points as well.

Holds can have any number of steps in them, at any rate (the rate is referred to as tick count). Some go by 8th beats, some 16ths, some have 50 steps crammed into what is basically a single tap. You can't let go early like other games, but the pads are good, just be more careful :p

Step is really fun on double. There's also Wanna by Kara in the Fiesta1 section.

Down at Acme now with a few people. Couldn't get the USB slots to work with my generic drive and neither could my friend. The volume is way way way quiet...pretty much impossible to hear a lot of songs. Terminator and Guitar Hero kind of need to be quieter, and Pump should probably be louder. The bass thing is weird, no idea what's causing that. Pads seem good. Hope things can get fixed up, game looks sweet and I wanna play some missions!

The volume was good when I was there, maybe they turned down the volume instead of just the lows. Then again the whole place was empty when I played.

The usbs are kinda tricky. Not all drives are compatible, and you need a compatible drive to enable the ports in the first place. I know the NX series came with a drive for that purpose, not sure about Fiesta-plus though. Sad

The pads respond well, but the pegs need to be adjusted so that it completely touches the ground and some of the other metal parts need to be tightened since they rattle at times.

Gave it a shot last night. So far, I really like Fiesta2, but I agree that the sound needs adjustment.. Can't hear the song while Terminator's going.

The most difficult thing at the moment for me under Full Mode is finding exactly which songs I'm looking for. So many songs to slowly scroll through, and they don't have distinct titles on the icon for the most part. I think this will just take practice xP

It'd be nice if you can set the song select time to infinite.

My highlight from last Saturday:

sightreading Lucid S20 and A'ing it

The game is great, although it would be nicer if stage break was off for all stages. Wink

ITG is currently down - boot drive got corrupted, so I had to pull the computer since I can only fix it from home.  Tried throwing the original computer back in, but it didn't feel like booting either.

Should be back up and running within a couple hours, so if you want to play today, you should probably wait until 2:30 or so.  I'll post again when I'm headed back down to throw the computer back in.

EDIT: Computer is back up and running, heading back to Acme to set it back up.

I got a chance to stop in an play some PIU over the weekend. Fiesta 2 has a bunch of fun songs!   It was hard to hear though with Terminator Salvation's gun fire next door, so that was a bummer.  I also realized I'm out of shape for dancing games after not playing them for a while. :p

I'd definitely like to see the time increased. I "lost" quite a few stages due to either not getting to a song I actually wanted to play, not having enough time to adjust the speed mod to something more appropriate, or getting stuck on an easy difficulty level.

Volume issues were also noticeable. Sucks that you have to cram all of this stuff into such a small space. Sad Game is really fun though!

I made a visit to Acme a couple days ago.

Volume turned down a slight on Terminator,
Volume turned UP on PIU
Volume turned down slightly on Guitar Hero
Song select time set to the maximum that the game program would allow.

Hope all is well now.  :-)  Enjoy!

I had to pick my roommate up from the airport today so I swung by a little bit ago to check it out. Everything is a lot better now, no problem finding what song I want to play unless I'm being incredibly indecisive and the volume is fine even if Terminator is being played.

I brought in a roll of paper towels and left it on the right side of the machine because the panels can be dust magnets (and thus get incredibly slippery!). Hopefully it won't get thrown away.

Edit: I will say that the stage break settings feel pretty punishing on the last song of the set. Not sure if anything can be done about that, though.

Dunno why but the ITG 3 machines been eating far tooooooo many coins lately...

I heard the coin mechs been changed but obviously it's not working. Probably lost about $3 bucks to the machine today!

Are refunds out of the question?

I've always gone up to the desk to ask for a money back, when the ITG cab ate up at least $1. Personally still in favor of a dollar-acceptor being attached to it, since quarters are more tedious & it costs a dollar to begin with  Tongue

Pump It Up machine was out of order tonight with... "monitor issues".

I hope it malfunctioned, rather than being broken by an irate passerby.

I called about the coin slot yesterday since it has definitely been getting worse lately. As for refunds, the front desk can provide them, but they're not enthusiastic about it and often want to put an "Out of Order" sign on the machine. You can give the coin slot a light whack if it eats a quarter and it usually gives you your credit, but please be gentle as not to break anything.

Bill, do please look into this! Thanks!
