Hey guys,
We tried to get it up temporarily by trying a Boxor from a converted DDR to ITG cabinet, just so you would have a little something to play while Tony does his magic.  It would not work, but was worth a try.

Worse case, if Tony get's stuck, the entire machine will get replaced on Monday, albeit a converted DDR cabinet.  But at least you will have something either way, until the dedicab is running again.

Thanks, Tony for all the hard work you volunteer to make ITG great at Acme.

I hope we will never get to that point...

Hey Tony, could we get an update? How is the machine coming alone?  Smiley

Not trying to be a dick, but I'm sure Tony will update when he's made progress.

There is nothing wrong with me wanting an update on how the machine is... I'm obviously asking out of concern...  Undecided

Especially when the machine has been out for this long.

I finally got motivated to find this place, in order to avoid the drive down if the machine was still broken. (I've seen most of you around when I play on Thursday night.) Also, this single thread is larger than many forums. XD

Anyway, glad I checked. Best of luck to you Tony, hopefully you don't run into any more weird issues.

Just got the machine working again, not going to be able to get it reinstalled tonight, but will run it out first thing in the morning. Expect the machine to be playable come afternoon.

Thanks, Tony.

On another note of interest, our guys did find a wire for the stage I/O that was hokey the other day.  May be the cause of the weird stage problems we have had.  It's back together now, so will be interesting to see iof the stage works better now.  :-)

Machine is up and running again. I played 4 sets without noticing a single pad error (but I'm a little out of practice), so the wiring may have been a factor. Hopefully everyone has a similar experience.

If something seems off with the software, let me know ASAP, as I have a business trip Monday-Friday, so I'm either tweaking things tomorrow or in a week. It all seemed fine to me, though, so hopefully there's nothing too pressing.

Just a heads up on the ACME itg machine, the screen isnt centered properly, its lower than usual, and the volumes turned down lower than usual.

The brightness is off as well, making it extremely difficult to read the notes, been playing it on hide background to be able to read it clearly.

Just letting you guys know!

Thank you guys for turning the volume back up! Much better!  Grin

However, the ITG 3 screen is still a little messed up. There is a black bar about 2 inches long on the upper part of the screen that's messing with the scroll rates a bit leading to hindering overall game play, I'm guessing that it is an easy fix. I have been needing to play on Mini %10 in order to play my usual scroll rate to combat the nasty black bar up top! Looks like the screen just needs to be pushed up a couple inches...  Shocked

Also, the background is really making it VERY difficult to read the notes on the machine, probably because the background is far brighter than it used to be, it is pretty bad in my opinion! Couple people that were playing with me today and yesterday noticed it as well... Kind of like playing with a MOD on, very annoying! We all have been turning the background off to help read the notes, and unfortunately resulting in disqualification in the rankings, this needs to change ASAP!  Sad

I hope those are just minor issue that can be addressed quickly!  Roll Eyes

There's one more thing I noticed while playing today... A mod call judge scale is coming up on the results page... Any idea what this is?

Is it still on chromatic theme?
I've seen this before.
It doesn't affect anything so pay no attention to it.
Some themes have a mod that increases or tightens the judgement window, and I'm not sure if chromatic has that mod or if it wasn't finished.

Since we're living in a post-official world anyway, I really wish background videos could be disabled without DQing. They shouldn't be considered part of the song's challenge, anyway, and while they're not as distracting as Pump's videos, I still find them to be a nuisance at times.

Yeah it's still the chromatic theme ATM. As long it doesn't effect anything I'm okay with it. I just hope the black bar up top can be adjusted haha!

The arcade ready version of Simply Love that has a front Banner that says "In The Groove" on it as the option to turn off DQ for Ranking. Meaning CMods and BG don't DQ you.

The itg3 theme I uploaded a page or two ago has a background dim mod option like the newer DDR games and it doesn't disqualify. I was hoping that my ITG3 theme would be put onto ACME machine so people could get used to playing with that. Because TBH, I don't care much for Chromatic and it's the same theme we've been using since SPERGIN 1.

I've seen a couple of songs where the video does impact the difficulty, but I'm not sure if that's considered part of the "background" video or if it's something else.  I know I've seen one that looked like it clouding up and raining, in a way that blurred or obscured certain portions of the screen during play.  There was at least one other strange one like that too.  (On the machine at ACME.)

Those are foreground changes and are supposed to hinder/challenge the player.
They are filed under gimmiest of the gimmicks, but they're fun and entertaining.

Hey just posting to say thank you for fixing the screen size issue, but there is a tiny little problem at the moment. The screens very blurry now towards the left and right edges o the screen and gradually lessens towards the middle.

Just letting you know! Thanks again!
