Ohhh....now that makes sense. Well, Exe is under 2 minutes.....I think it's 1:58 or something, but it DOES work. If anyone here can pass it, that's pretty cool, and if anyone can get it first time, I'll probably kiss their feet and/or kill myself.

i can pass exe its easy..........the one by eggman right?

no the chart that Tyrgannus just made heheheh.

may i suggest changing the menu timer or disabling it for itg2? You barely have enough time to enter your name!

QFT.

Please don't put in R23 though... All of us are unanimously against it, and it's effectively just a gimped R21 with possible bugs.  From what I hear, it may also wipe out high score tables.

I will try to remember the memory timer next time I make it up there.  Probably next Wednesday.

Yo Bill-
Played for the first time tonight on the Drummania8th (actually it's a Percussion Freaks 8th but they're basically the same).

My synopsis on the machine: Very well maintained.  Excellent responsiveness, etc.
That screen however is a bit dim and worn down; I figure that's a low on the priorities list, but just thought I'd note that it makes it a bit tough to see note colors at times since they aren't as bright.  But, small gripe.

Main gripe is that the machine doesn't have the unlocks input!  Or has this been mentioned yet? I wanted to play Out of Breath and Yellow Panic Time but couldn't ;_;  Or does ACME do something that resets the machine's mem? (doubt this.)

Anycase, I'm certain I can dig up those passwords for you if you'd be willing to input them into the machines and unlock the 6 songs (Out of Breath, Yellow Panic Time, Daikenkai!, VoiD, and um I forgot the other two at the moment).

But, all in all, playing "Used to Rock N' Roll" again, rocks! ^_~

Hey Chris, I should be up there this coming Wednesday in the early afternoon if you should wnat to bring the code and we can unlock.

Yeah, the unlock code was entered soon after ACME opened. Like the IIDX machine though, the unlocks have somehow disappeared.

The machines are turned off overnight at Acme.  Hence why unlocks do not seem to last very long there.

Wow. Why do unlocks reset upon reboots? That's weird.

Yeah there's two unlock codes, each unlocks 3 songs for a total of 6 songs.
Well Bill, I don't know at this point if I can keep the promise, but I will tentatively say yes I can be there Wednesday, though it depends if I have a job interview or not.

However, if ACME does power down the machine every night and it kind of makes unlock codes go bye bye, then there's not too much of a point, right?  Unless the power down doesn't ALWAYS erase the codes or something.

Also, it probably would be abused less at Acme than Narrows.

My only problem with this is that then I would have no excuse to go to Narrows anymore ^_^;;; unless for occasional nostlagia drumming.

Also, the volume on the drummania8th at ACME is way too low =/ most specifically the note sounds (ie drum hits); if we had sessioned machines there, the management might make us turn them down a lot and session play would be annoying.  I really like the volume and setup at Narrows for the GF11/DM10.

Granted, honestly I would prefer the GF11/DM10 at ACME but, I am concerned about the turndown in volume and I just don't know if there's enough space there for both the Drummania and the Guitarfreaks machines, but I suppose I'll leave that decision up to Bill.  As far as I know there are no unlocks on GF11/DM10 that would be affected by turning the power off everynight at ACME, so that's a plus.

Personally Bill I think business-wise you might attract more people to try out Guitarfreaks at ACME, as well.

And, and...session! Woo!

Okay, that's enough.

Yeah, since acme's management are really snobby, they'd rather have more people playing sessioned GFDM at acme than just old drummania. I know for a fact that a lot of random people are enticed by the fact that they can play together, as opposed to just playing DM. Not only that, guitar games (hi GH) have proven themselves to be very popular. Remember at IZ when every random person in there would play GF, and not DM? Acme understandably wants to make a lot of money, and I think that adding a GFDM session might be cool (and I wanna buy that sign from narrows).

EDIT: I'm being fully serious here, not sarcastic. After rereading my post, I can see how it might be misinterpreted.

Yeah, they're enticed until they play for like a few seconds before failing and thus losing $.75 and thus proceed to never touch the game again  there's a beginner's mode for a reason peeps.  Granted, some people do use it but I wonder about the people that just dive into "standard;" I guess it's not easily recognizable or something.  Maybe there should be a sign saying "If you've never played this before, you WILL want to start with Beginner's mode!  You can't even fail the first stage!" or something.

True, but the same can be said for DM alone. I think what I'm getting at is that without GF, people won't even bother to put that first $.75 in.

At least GF11/DM10 *have* a beginner mode (unlike IIDX 8th... Beginner mode unfortunately wasn't added until later for AC styles).  Some people would probably pick it, actually have fun, and not walk away pissed off and hating the game.  Also, GF/DM are a lot more newbie-friendly than IIDX is.  I have seen kids probably about five years old pass stuff on DM at Acme.

Guys guys... do you remember when narrows first got 11/10, what bill said about it?  He said that he'd rather keep the newer version down there so that not all business from our crowd is lost from narrows.

Besides, the reason GF saw more random play than DM at IZ is only due to location.  You couldn't even see DM unless you ventured out into that corner of nothing.  Being able to abuse drums is much more "enticing" to random people than a guitar.  Though with the popularity of GH that might be a little different now.

Doesn't putting the machine where more of us go (AND it will be vandalized less) make more business sense?
