Ah, went back last night and saw what you meant by having something loose.  There were some screws missing from the far right of the pad, and the paper towel that someone had wedged in there was causing issues.  Stan took the 2p right arrow apart, cleaned it up, and screwed everything down, and as of when I left yesterday (8:30?) everything was working great.

Really appreciate the attention to the machines, it definitely does not go unnoticed.

And Amber... you're getting scary.
"Wait what was that?  You hit the button too fast to see.  99 point what?"
"99 point bad"
"... There's no such thing as 99 point bad on a 10"
lol i put the paper towel in there sorry. i thought it would help but it didnt. and i forgot to take it out

and does the 1p usb slot not work?

Both sides work fine for my card.  If I use the right side I sometimes have to jiggle it a little bit to get it to read, but both are operable.

need help? Play Max 2 instead. Tongue  It'll help with your enjoyment for real dance games. Wink

Anyway, DM10 was BAD. Cymbal was the worst, not registering any hits on the lower half of the pad, and hi-hat was 50-50... and the red tom seemed a little iffy in spots.

Pop'n was good, but there is a LOUD high-pitched noise coming from that area. It seemed to be coming from pop'n, but couldn't tell.

Max 2 was amazing. Pads were the best I've played on in a long time. Perfect Perfect Perfect!

Tetris - Played it for the first time... there's some weird Sakura puzzle mode that I couldn't figure out, and stopped playing after that. Maybe Kevin can give some insight.

ALSO: PNWBemani.net signs have been placed on all the music games.
@Bill: I tried to place them in non-annoying spots.
@Everyone else: Let me know if you guys don't see them when you go, so new ones can go up.  I can upload the quick signs I made today if people want to place them elsewhere. Smiley

DM update,
The sensor backing plates are cracking.  New ones being custom made now.  With luck, they should be installed Friday we hope.

Something tells me that we need to have these working real well for the V hardware kickoff party.  Oops, did I leak information?  :-)

Sweet.  Cool to see that we'll have a place in WA that has DMGF V series.   Any more "hints" about when we might see the V and which version Bill ?..Smiley

Hope I am not inserting my foot in my mouth, as we can all believe it once installed, booted, and working.  But if everything goes according to the plan, they could transform to the V3 system real soon.

Yeah, V3 is definitely one of the best mixes. Even though V4 and V5 have a couple cool new songs, V3 has a lot of really good revivals that V4 and V5 are missing.

This made my day as well. You sir

Are my HERO!

I started playing DM only a couple of months ago, but I've been wanting to play other mixes than 10th.
This is the greatest news ever.
I was down at acme today in the afternoon. ITG works great. And it seems people are interested in PNW, because the little flyers John put up have had a few tags ripped off on all the machines there on Smiley
GOOD JOB BLUESSS!

AHHHHHHH V3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so so excited right now. YES!

Last night the up was fine for me (though greats and decents are normal for me), but the 1p right arrow was intermittent.  It would work fine for a couple seconds, then not work at all.  Failed some doubles (7's) that shouldn't be failed.  Don't know if it was stuck down or not registering.  Might have to start playing DM though, with the new hardware on the way.

I'll probably be going to Acme this afternoon. I doubt V3 will be there, but if the new sensor backing plates are installed I'll at least report back on those! Honestly I've really wanted to never have to go to GameWorks again and the only reason I've gone (since Acme got TGM) is to play Drummania. Even then, GW Drummania is almost silent and kinda expensive. Acme DM has much better volume and I'm really glad that the cymbals are gonna be better now!

this is why I'm happy too.
Sure a bus ride can be a hassle, but it beats paying almost 2 bucks for 3 songs at gameworks.
This is gonna save me so much money, YES!
Grocery shopping HERE I COME WOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

ok just kidding, if I spent more money on acme than I did food, well......I'd be dead haha
^_^
ok I'm leaving, lol.

Has anyone played on the DM's new sensor backing plates?  Thet were installed this afternoon and hoping it is all well.

Rumor has it that there is a small chance that V3 could appear real soon.

I'll stick to the cash. Anyway, that is really cool!!!

I played on the machine at about 4:30 today. The hihat and cymbal definitely felt in much better shape, but the hihat is still pretty dead on the right side. I'm really not sure what the problem is, but it's certainly not normal. Anyway, the snare also seems much better...was that tightened up or something?

Really looking forward to V3...too bad I won't get to play it until next week. I'll see if I can stop by tomorrow for a little to check it out, though.

Hey guys, awesome news.. I upgraded the GF/DM machines to V3 tonight and finished just as Acme was closing, so they should be ready to play tomorrow. I reset the hit charts to make sure they reflect our tastes accurately. Smiley

This has been a LONG time coming, a lot of annoying work behind the scenes, and for a long time there I didn't think it was going to happen. I didn't want to say anything until it looked like a sure thing. I actually first bought the 2 PCBs specifically with Bill's machines in mind, as well as two more for my personal games, in the late summer of 2007. They arrived in "working" order, but were missing the hardware security keys that actually make them boot. Little did I know at the time that Konami required ops to pull the plugs from V3 and re-use them in V4, thus rendering all V3 PCBs unusable. UGH! Ever since then I have been trying to track these keys down both for my own boards and for the others, still with hopes of working something out with Bill and upgrading his games. Obviously I finally tracked some keys down and they arrived this week, so I'm happy to say there are now two sets of GF/DM V3s in WA. The second set is in my garage! Old-school detail freaks might be interested in knowing that mine were once the DM 3rd and GF 4th machines that Illusionz had before upgrading to the 5th/6th machines that Bill now has at Acme. So all 4 GF/DMs from Illusionz are alive and well! Smiley

Anyway, enjoy the games, hopefully they will work well for a long time to come. I wasn't sure exactly how you guys like the volume tweaked, so it might need a little work with the balancing, but for all intents it's all working and session mode should work fine. Also, I'm not exactly sure what the deal is with the song unlocks and whether we can ever play those songs in the US, but I know a few V3 tracks like Axis aren't playable -- I'm pretty sure you have to unlock them with the e-amuse system, which sucks since we can't access that. If you guys ever figure out any unlock codes or any other way to enable those extra songs please let me know!

Oh, and a little tip.. If you hold down the bass pedal and hit the high tom twice, you will switch the songs to organizing by name (letter) or by mix, which is really helpful in navigating the massive (I think 550 or so?) song list.
