Will once again explore the volume issue.  Yes, Max 2 is leaving, so that may help, however maybe not when GH takes it's place.  There is never a happy medium to the volume levels it seems.
The staff may question taking pads apart.  They should not question simple things like rebooting, or even removing the puck chutes on the air hockey table to clear a jam.

Bill, what's the word on the Max 2 machine? Any offers yet?

I've just moved, and the place is still a mess. I've still got some interest in the machine however.

Laura may want it, but not sure.  Nobody has commited yet.  If anyone wants to, step up to the plate now as it will be getting pulled next week I would guess.  We need to figure out where it is going by this weeks end.

That was me, and I'm 22 dammit. :b That same kid actually made me fail The Least 100 Seconds on Supernova too, thankfully it was my last song so I didn't mind too much. Sorry I didn't introduce myself, by the way. I did get a peak at your name while you were playing ITG, but I didn't want to interrupt your gameplay. Also sorry for taking so long to pick a song while you were waiting. :b I played some ITG3 songs at home earlier so I would know what to expect but had trouble recognizing them by sound at the arcade. XD

Out of curiosity, can an admin change my name to nekura? Not sure why I registered n (probably laziness). Thanks! :3

So that means you quit FFXI? Shocked

Well, to be clear, my getting back into dancing games has nothing to do with quitting FFXI. I got bored of playing at home but didn't have a car until recently, so getting to Acme was a pain in the ass and fuck Gameworks. But yeah, I didn't log on at all during PAX and didn't feel motivated at all to log on after. My night life after work has consisted of reading (just finished A Storm of Swords) and frequent co-op gaming with a friend of mine (we put about 30 hours into Dawn of War II in a little over two weeks, currently playing through Sacred 2 which is a flawed but fun Diablo-style game).

PS: How did you know I played FFXI? :O I don't remember mentioning it too much within the dancing game community, but it's been a while.

Ah, I remember you now!

Going to Acme sometime this afternoon, I need to run some errands and try to fix this stupid crack in my windshield that I got thanks to a stupid truck on the freeway last weekend. :x

Edit: Looks like I'll be going a bit later than usual tonight, gonna do some mid-day Sacred 2.

I like how the maximum song length is 3:00 but the minimum length for a long version song is more than that. I know it is because I can play Tricky Disco and Live Forever and both are exactly 3:00 and both count as one stage. So that means it's impossible to play a long version song with the current settings.

Yes, like I said I can fix this next weekend. If you need something doing earlier, you'll have to talk to Bill. It's just an option in the operator menu with OpenITG installed. I'm honestly completely overloaded at the moment and I haven't spent a minute at Acme in over three weeks.

It looks like I'm complaining but I'm not. I just felt like mentioning all that.

It's official, the Acme Max 2 is now up for grabs on Ebay.  Will it stay local?

I'd love to see someone from this community nab this cabinet and use it to host tournaments or something.  I would if I had 3.5k to drop.  Unfortunately the 2010 board for Kumoricon won't be voted in until October 25th, otherwise I'd try to convince them to buy it and rent it out to other cons to absorb costs. :/

If there's a market for rented machines, I might be interested in renting out the ITG 2 dedicab I own three-way with some friends. It's not exactly easy to move, so rental fees would have to make it worth our while, but keep that in mind in the future if you guys really want an ITG2 machine in great shape.

I don't know if I really have the money right now, but at that price, it is tempting to bid.  I'll watch the auction.

I think its funny how the Illusionz ITG machine and 1 of the extreme machines is located at this laser tag place in Olympia.

Few things of note with the ITG machine:

- Less Than Three lags, presumably due to the background video.
- The machine wasn't reading USB cards on either side for a few rounds (it wouldn't even detect that a card was plugged in), but started working again after that.
- The 1P coin slot always vomits back quarters.

Other than that, whee had a good day.

-needs more RAM, lol. I could compress the video a bit if it's not compressed too much already.
-Reset the machine when you arrive. DO NOT UNPLUG it though because the prongs are breaking on it. There is a little switch on the bottom left corner of the machine. Flip that. I reset it every time I go. Besides the USB's have been crappy for awhile now.

Yeah, what Keby said. I can install more RAM, I just don't wanna pay for it.

Also, I'm not gonna bother going to Acme again to try and do a hacky fix of the long song problem. It's really up to Bill. The option is in the operator menu, so I'd rather have him set it to whatever he wants.

good choice.
Will we ever start to get custom songs on the machine ever? or will we just have to kick it with USB's for now?

Hm, I wouldn't mind buying some RAM for the machine but I suppose it would be pretty pointless with the number of songs we have right now; no point in getting extra RAM for a song that has a crappy stepchart in the first place. :b

Heeyyyyyy.....I like the chart. I think its okay. I totally could triple star that song if the lag wasn't there. It's hard to time in places lol.

Once I get my budget for MEW Con, I may make you an offer.

PM me with a ballpark of what to expect so we can identify whether it's a reasonable option once we do get the budget.  We can most likely transport the machine, since we will probably be transporting two other machines, about 20 systems, 50 controllers, and a few hundred games from the Seattle area for the con.
