Nice playing with everyone last night. Had fun even though I failed half of what I attempted. Heh

A few videos of it are uploaded.

Alright! A good night at Acme!

Machine Statuses:
ITG: Perfect.
DDR: The volume is way too quiet on this. I could hardly hear it! Sad
Pop'n: The second left most button ("2") was sticking pretty hardcore. Other than that it was alright.
Drummania: Works great! The bass pedal is still really really loud and clunky though. I'm pretty sure that can be fixed with something as simple as a little strip of foam.

Good times at Acme! Yeah!

We will have to take a look at SN2 volume it sounds like.

Our tech checked Pop N today, and could not get the buttons to stay down like they were sticking.  Is the problem that the buttons were sticking down?

ack, i didn't see your response.

I don't think the button itself is sticking mechanically, but the 2 and 3 buttons definitely stick pretty badly, and it's ever since what was pretty obviously a mechanically sticky situation with the left most 3 buttons... not quite sure what's going on but probably sticky inside or something.

Seriously just take the train up from portland. It's not ridiculously expensive.
That or just find a ride if you can. In fact drag all the portland kids up in one massive car pool one weekend.

Perhaps--when I meet some.

Yeah I'll probably be taking a train up just for the fuck of it, or to meet a friend, then we'll beast. When I do I'll let you guys know, so you better be there, or be dicks. But it's definitely in my interest to go.

Yo Bill, the right arrow button on the DM V3 at ACME is broken or something.  Actually I think it's needed replacement for a couple of months.  I first noticed when I couldn't jump from the title screen to the options screen (for that you need to hold down both arrow buttons and press the start button).

It's not a big deal; I can still select options once I pick my song in standard mode. BUT, I can't play Nonstop because I can't enable 'dark' mode beforehand and I am so used to that now, that if I play DM on anything other than dark mode I am BLINDED by how light the screen is... =(

Can't you double tap the bass pedal to bring up the options menu any time? Or is that only in V4 and up?

That's either V4 and up or V5 and up. I think you're right though.

Yep, in V3 double tapping bass just increases your scroll speed by .5

I went to play this morning at 11am, and the ITG machine was frozen when I got there.  It was frozen on the RoXoR screen, so Hollie and I reset it.  It froze again on the screen where it shows you how to hit the arrows.  So we reset it again, and it froze on the initial boot screen.  We tried one more time, but this time, it didn't even boot, and just gave the error: "No Signal Detected".  We gave up after that.

I called Bill, and he said he would send someone over there, but I suspect it's much more of a software issue than hardware.  I've heard the cache hasn't been cleared since Sakuracon, so maybe that is something?  Any ideas from our ITG machine owners/experts?

Yeah I hope it's not too big of a problem to fix. It was a very sad morning : (

NEWS:

The fan on ITG 3's video card is dead, and the mother board has some bulging capacitors.  The board is at our shop getting reworked.  Hopefully back in operation tomorrow or Friday.

In good news (LULZ noone cares) I was able to play nonstop mode on DM with dark mode "on" today, thanks to the now-working right arrow button!  Thanks Bill!

Bill I hope you can fix it fast. If not, it's going to be hard to find a replacement video card of the same type since it was from 2005.

I really hope it doesn't come to finding a replacement, because then it's hassle of finding a video card that works in that mother board.

If you have to spend 100 bucks to get it fixed, hopefully an nVidia GTX 240 video card would fit. 1 GB of video couldn't hurt Grin
I highly doubt it would though.

An ITG hard drive wouldn't contain drivers for such recently made hardware. Maybe an openitg could have updated drivers installed though. Then again the card may have shut itself down and just needs a new fan.

It's not really a hassle. You can get old Nvidia AGP cards from Ebay or probably even Fry's.

Good news!

ITG 3 is back up and running after replacement of many bulging capacitors, a repaired and modified video card, etc.  Cards, gifts, and flowers are all welcome and should be sent to our technician, Mark.

Let us know it it's holding up, but we feel pretty good about it now.

Thanks Kevin B, for your offer of also helping out, appreciate it.
