Yea it's hard to find DDR charts formatted for ITG though, at least from what little I've looked.
Bill, that's good to know! Didn't realize there were a few around like that. The hope is that we can have both ITG and Extreme at one location so we can easily swap between the two. Essentially Extreme has the best easy songs and ITG has the best hard songs. As is, SN2 has some crappy hard songs and not as many good easier songs so it would just be a better combination of machines I would think. Anyway just consider it
Thanks!

I have DDR 1st - SN2 + all the console versions on my ITG machine. It's not that hard. Go to Zenius-I-Vanisher> Search Simfiles> Choose whatever mix you want. They're all there.

I'd rather play on an Extreme cab rather then the itg cab. It wouldn't be the same because of different timing windows and such. My point is, that its not the real deal. That's just me, donno how it is for the rest of you guys though.
I would actually play on the extreme way more if it were at Acme. Not really likin' SN2 much, which is why I barely touch it.
Anyway, carry on folks!
Oh, also putting ddr songs on your usb for itg is kinda a hassle because you can only put so much songs on and if you were gonna be putting ddr songs on the itg machine, that might take awhile as in having someone come down and put songs onto the machine since we haven't been really getting anything new lately.. If you guys put ddr songs on the itg machine here, I wouldn't really play them, but I'm sure others would play them from time to time. Again though I'd rather just play them on an actual ddr extreme machine. Yep...lol

Just added ACME onto the Zenius-I-Vanisher arcade location tracker.
Btw just a heads up it is now THE BEST arcade locator on the internet for Bemani games. Hands down. They even have a little google map too!

Yeah, I added a lot of the northern locations that I've visited, but I figured I'd let you regulars do the southern ones.

I also went through and changed some locations based on my current knowledge. Like gameworks wasn't complete and stuff. Hooray teamwork!!! *high five*

The ITG 3 is presently labeled Out Of Order, since the coin slot on both sides no longer accepts quarters correctly. It's probably not hard to tweak and fix temporarily, but in the consideration of a long-term solution.. perhaps a dollar bill acceptor could be installed into the machine. The ddrExtreme cabinet by me in Kirkland used to have one, so it accepted quarters, token, and $1 bills.

Bill,
On Sunday around 330 I was at ACME and some kids were playing on the Crossfire machine and suddenly I heard a loud CRASH! but I was a bit absorbed in the song on the Drummania machine...anyhow afterwards I turned around and the Crossfire's glass had completely shattered.
I don't know if ACME staff handled it appropriately to prove whether the kids were directly responsible or not for breaking the glass on the machine. I was skeptical of the kids' story that it "just happened" and they got their parents involved in the story and all of them were really pressuring the ACME staff to see if they could "go home or stay."
Anyhow I hope your company got to view ACME's security tapes and see what really happened. I was playing Drummania so my back was turned. If the kids did break the machine's glass I hope your company can get the information from ACME to potentially recover any losses. I'll be a witness as best I can but again I didn't directly see the incident occur, only heard it.
The kids in there continue to not treat the machines right, and ACME staff is OK, but as the equipment in the arcade is not theirs, they do not have your best interests in mind.
===
Beyond that, the hi hat on the Drummania machine seemed a bit weak to me. Anyone else having problems getting hits to register?

Chris,
Thanks for being observant. It really was just an accident. The security video shows the kids swinging the bats real hard, and hitting an outrageous air ball that broke the glass. The management was on top of watching the video right away. So, no worries, poo poo happens as the old saying goes. We had new glass in the machine first thing on Monday before opening.

Hey Bill - just wondering if you have any plans to upgrade the Street Fighter IV cabs with the Super SFIV boards when they become available (they are on test locations right now). It's been confirmed that the arcade release will have at least 2 new characters not found in the home version (X360 and PS3) so the arcade version will offer new stuff not found in the console release. Also I still see a pretty good stream of players playing/competing on the current machine at ACME even though it's the "old" original release. I think possibly having the only Super SFIV machine in the Seattle area at a convenient location could make this a real good money maker. I would at least recommend this upgrade over spending money to bring in some other obscure game - Street Fighter has a large established fan base that ranges from young to old, so I think Super SFIV would be the best upcoming non-Bemani arcade game to bring in.
Also Bill I've noticed that on the current SF cabs, the DOWN position on the joysticks don't register too well, which makes it especially problematic for the diagonal DOWN-LEFT and DOWN-RIGHT inputs to register (on both player-1 and player-2 sides), might want to have the switches for thees checked out and possibly replaced. Replacing the joystick/buttons in the future with the Japanese style square-gated Sanwa joystick/buttons would be fantastic though if that's a possibility.

Hey can we get the USB's checked on ITG2. The machine is really slow in recognizing people's thumb drives and last night it took about 10 minutes for either port to recognize anything.
But my other conclusion is that this is a software issue, and the OpenITG still has problems to be fixed.

Yes, we are going to consider the new Street Fighter, but it's all up to Capcom! What I mean, they need to price it in a way that it makes sense. The original SF boards pricing made no sense, and the game will likely never recoup it's investment. Pretty sad.
ITG, we can clean the ports again, but seems likely that the game program could be the source of problem, but we will run through the slots just to be sure.

Question:
I have the ITG3 songpack from Jeffery1790's site about a year ago. My pack is mostly complete, but is missing some doubles charts, or some charts are just blank or unfinished (mostly the doubles charts). Also, there're a LOT of edit files. About 1/4 of the songs have an edit attached to them.
I don't get to Acme much, and when I do I rarely play ITG, so I wanted to know if this is how the charts are on the Acme machine?

I'm actually gonna head down to Acme pretty soon to do some ITG updates (it's a surprise!) and play some Maximum Tune. Bill, are those cabinets likely to get an upgrade to 3DX or 3DX+ in the future? I'd go down to Narrows and upgrade my card but I don't really want to do that until somewhere else gets DX or DX+.

Kevin, we will probably wait until version 4 until an upgrade comes. DX does not seem to do any better than a standard version 3.

So I went down to Southcenter a couple times recently, noticed that Pop'n Carnival is gone. Is it in a different location, or...? I'd just go to Gameworks, but generally they don't seem to care too much about bemani games, and broken buttons/pads/drumskins are a real turnoff.

When did you play? I was there last night and played a set just fine, and the machine was MUCH more visible than many machines I've played on.
