I haven't found Terminator itself to be too loud, and the racing games tend to have more rhythmic (and therefore more distracting) sounds coming out of their speakers, but the last couple days at Acme have been bad because a lot of kids have been playing terminator and screaming "BANG BANG BANG" every time they pull the trigger.

Actually, Terminator's been getting a pretty reasonable amount of play in general (usually 2 players with like 6 friends crowding around to watch), and it might make sense to move it regardless of noise because ITG + Terminator + Air Hockey is choking the walkway pretty badly.

I think I'll be at Acme in about 1.5 hours. Probably 4:30 or something like that.

Crap, I forgot to adjust Terminators volume when I was there last week.

the ITG did get all cleaned out and serviced last week.  There will be a supply of spare sensors during the tournament, should any be determined to be bad.  Anyone else having pad issues?

THX

We'll be here tonight for a little bit right after Tony gets off of work (around 6:15-6:30ish.)

Edit:  Also, Bill, I don't know if anyone has pointed this out to you, but ITG's 2p side coin slot has been jammed up for awhile now.  Somehow, I always forget to call it in.

Crud, I hope they noticed the coin jam today.  There was indeed a very bad sensor that was replaced.

I'll be going in tomorrow evening. looking at near 6:30-7:30 timeframe to start. Hopefully those screws on the panels are tightened, it felt goofy hearing a chingy sound every time i stepped.

I'd be up for heading there tonight. Though tomorrow there would also be Tuan & Andrew most likely.

I may make it to both, since I could use the practice ^^; What time were you & Tony thinkin of headin' down South?

It'd probably be around 7 or 8, depending on when he gets off of work.

I was wondering if it's not too much trouble to make the background on SN2 a little darker without having to tint the whole screen. I'm not sure if there's an option for that or not. I know you can have the option to do so on the console versions.

The reason I'm drawing attention to this is because I played a song (I forgot what it was) and I swear I felt like I was playing on stealth/blink mod for a good 3 seconds until I could see the arrows again. The background video was really bright...

Anyway, if it can be done thanks Smiley

I may be there tonight, depending on how my ears feel in a couple of hours (I just had tubes put in, and the topical anesthesia is just starting to wear off, so I don't know if I'll be in any pain.)

I'll be going tomorrow to ACME. The exact time I do not know, mostly depends on when I wake up/train at the gym Smiley I usually come before the rush on Friday in the 3-5 timeframe and come for a couple hours.

I'll give a final ballpark time tonight before i sleep =]

Hey Bill - I noticed one of the SFIV cabinets was gone last time I was there.    Are the cabinets in the process of being redone for the upgrades and does this mean we'll see Super SFIV Arcade at ACME soon?

The cabinet that is missing had a video card puke.  And yes, the upgrades will be here in a couple weeks, will have Super AE for the northwest.

I stopped by at acme for the first time, today, for a few hours.  And I just had a few comments/thoughts/questions.

Pads: Pretty good.  I am by no means an expert on pad sensitivity/accuracy/pad misses.  But these pads are definitely above average, and are quite sensitive.

Mods: Lacking.  Its pretty standard among hacked machines to have speed mods in increments of .25.  I was moderately disappointed when I wasn't able to use 3.25x, 3.75x, or 4.25x.  At the very least these mods should be in.  Maybe I'm just spoiled though.

Custom songs: Sort of lacking (for a hacked machine).  I'm probably just spoiled, but ITG 1,2,3, rebirth, flash exclusives, and some randoms isn't all that much (especially if you've played itg 1 and 2 to death).  Its especially lacking in the stamina song department.  Some suggestions for song packs: Tachyon alpha/beta, mudkips minipack, legends of zim, TEAM DRAGONFORCE, maybe the D.O.W.N.S. tourney pack.

Also, I haven't tried yet, but do usb custom songs work on the machine?  Are the usb ports in working order (they seemed like they would be as they looked pretty modified/upgraded)?  Do you need an old flash drive to get it working (I know, normally, newer flash drives tend to not work, but maybe with the upgrade you guys solved this problem)?  Also, if you use a usb custom song will it count as 2 rounds always, or based on length (some machines do it always)?

Overall rating: 7/10

My rating scale
A 1 is an old ddr machine, with suck pads (this describes most ddr machines).  A 5 is an unmodified ITG 2 machine/pump pro machine (or something else with equivalently good pads.)  And a 10 is a hacked ITG machine with 8+ gigabytes of songs, all speed mods, very sensitive modified pads, set permanently on free play (machines that I'm used to).

More rating explanation.
6 points are given for pads (0 if machine is broken, 6 if they are modified itg pads.)
2 points are given for custom songs/mods/software
2 points are given for price reductions (0 points for dollar/3 songs, no free 2 player/doubles, charging more for longs songs.  1 point for free 2 player and not charging extra/counting as 2 for long songs. And 2 points for free play.)

I gave this machine 6 points for pads, 1 point for custom songs, and 0 for price

I know what you mean man, I hate it when arcades don't put their machines on free play
