That does not sound good! If I remember, and maybe others can chime in, but I suspect that monitor has always had a little blur towards the edges it's entire life? You guys would know best.

Unless it got worse it's always had a little blur on it.

Just saying thanks for fixing the blur on the screen!
Um, having said that in some if the higher note count songs like dragon force charts, the screen looks like its splitting here and there, not often but enough for me to notice. Dunno what that's a result if but just letting you guys know.

I understand that the volume was way to loud on the machine yesterday but today the volumes been turned down far to low. I hear the bass from the typhoon, and the music from dead heat machine over the itg... I think that's a problem. Stopped playing after 2 sets and drove back home, really sucks.

Regarding skins Ive continued to favor chromatic because its not so abrasive with the judgments, as theyre typically in darker colors. In fact I just generally like the darker sleek look as opposed to itg3, especially since tony fixed the judgment flash from the default. But there are a few things that might stand to improve from a new skin I dunno. What are all yall thoughts? Maybe download or and try at home and note impressions?
And thanks for all your guys work in getting the machine back up to specs!
Also I think I've played that rain song. I gotta gun for a quad on it

I highly recommend the Simply Love theme.
Super minimal, more mods.
My favs: 2 layers of speed mods. Whole numbers (1x, 3x, C400 etc...) and additional (.25x, .5x, c40, c75 etc...) and it tells you what speed you'll be reading at. For me I read 530 - 610 bpm.
The ALMIGHTY
BACK BUTTON
! Yes you can go back the song select wheel if you decide you don't want to play something!
Judgement font selection! They range from ITG2 default to Chromatic, groovenights, tactics, simply loves own skin, and a custom font from The FP (would have to be removed since it's offensive for the public)

I agree with Keby on this. Also I have a version that actually says "IN THE GROOVE" instead of Simply Love for arcade purposes.
Also it has an even BETTER noteskin feel than what Tony has done with Chromatic, and a few extra Skins as well. As well a combo counter that is far more subtle, and has more subtle colors for blue combo, red combo, and green combo.
It has a IMO better Simply love font, Deco, Groovenights, Tactics, and an emotions one that is silly.
I think it would be perfect if it had the new Simply Love, The old Simply Love, Deco, Chromatic, and ITG2 since those all seem to be the favorite. I'm in the process of swapping them out and taking out the bad voice announcements.
Also the link Keby gave has mini percentages in 10% and the one I have is in 5% intervals but it stops at 50% and I know Allan loves his 65% so I could just add the extra jump.
I also might take out the line for DQ for hide background just because it's gotten silly at this point.
When I have it all done i'll send it to Tony and to all of you for review and maybe you could just beta it for a week or two and see how it feels.

65% is the original "mini". And I tried it originally because many ancient masters of olden days, like Amber, used it and became accustomed to it. So it's not just *my* favored setting, it should be in there regardless of the theme!

LOL I wasn't picking on you, I just noticed it is your preferred mini of choice. If anything be happy I thought of you
Here mute did this nice little remodel and then I added stuff I thought the community would prefer. This should be nice and arcade ready.

Hey guys!
Just wondering if there is ever a possibility that Hide Background would become legal for ranking, or if their could be a Background Dimmer mod made available?
The resolution for the screen is perfect after either the Techs or Tony looked at it, but the background is still slightly off to me. It isn't as bad as it was a week ago but I feel like I still notice the background during gameplay.
Anywho, thank you to all of you guys involved in getting the ITG 3 machine up to top shape!

Thanks for the status update, i need to get yo digits man. Id recommend the revised simply love theme by andy b. It has everything you need and you can even hide background without being disqualified. Has pretty much everything you need, even a back button in the mod menu (as mentioned above i believe).

Tuan! Damn man yeah I know I need your number too! Ask jorin for it, I don't wanna post my number on the forums lol. I told him to give it to you so should be golden!
Just mentioning, the Simply Love theme seems like a great idea! Would be great if we could get Tony to consider trying it out for a week or so!

Just had a question for anyone who can answer this...
Is it possible for the Arrow Tiles on the ITG 3 Machine to be raised higher up? I've noticed that on some of the faster songs, upwards of 230 bpm, it is harder to move without catching the bolts on your shoes. Could it be possible to use bolts/screws (not sure if I'm using the correct term) that have a flatter head or one that fits into the holes? Is this even a possibility?
Also, I would love to see the Simply Love theme on the machine!

Yes, it is possible. But given that it takes some time, energy and significant effort to do that "mod" to the machine, I'm not sure you'll see that done anytime soon. I know the hardcore 15+ players almost require the mod to stay competitive these days.

Well at least I know its possible... I doubt this "mod" will be implemented at ACME unfortunately.
1 more thing! Would it be possible for the machine at ACME to get some of the new packs Mad Matt put out, like the Tachyon Delta stuff? We've had Tachyon Alpha, Beta, Gamma for ever now and I would really like to try some of his new faster charts. I wish I could do this but I have zero knowledge regarding computers and files and things!

In regards to pad mods. ACME would benefit from new arrow panels. They're sunken in from years of hardcore dance games. Maybe convince everyone to turn the arrows inward so the least sunken part is near the middle panel.

So Simply Love is a very good theme and should be given a shot.
As for foam modding you just need to get some think weather stripping and throw it on top of the brackets and on top of the L corner brackets and then compensate for sensor sensitivity. Pretty simple stuff and everyone will play better and things will feel more nice overall.
Rotating and or getting new panels will also make a world of difference.

Would it be possible for me to rotate the arrow panels in myself?
I have the tools to do so and I'm not someone to ruin the machine. I'm asking for permission before I even think about touching it, I go almost everyday so I can get on that ASAP, especially if it will help out the entire community!

As far as "foam modding" goes, I would love to do this for us as well. I'd be more than happy to purchase the weather stripping and volunteer my time to do this if the community would agree on such a change. Just need someone to help with the sensor sensitivity, that is a world I do not know...

I don't want to be "that guy", but I would like to note that foam modding does make getting sensor balancing a lot more of a P.I.T.A. It's not too bad if it's a private machine, or a machine that gets only moderate use by a select group; but something in an arcade as active as Acme could cause trouble.
Remember how hard it was to get the machine tweaked right this last time (just about 1 month ago)? The thing with foam modding is you need to be sure that the newly raised panels don't push too hard against the brackets once modded. Also, the foam will compress over time, requiring more tweaks/modifications on the fly.
I'm not saying it won't work, but I get the feeling a lot of these mods that come from AIJ are by private machine owners, not public arcade owners. The two situations are not one and the same and the pros/cons of both need to be considered.

If modding the machine with foam/rotating arrow panels will help regular players play better and make the machine feel better, I'm all for modding it.

How would modding the machine to perform better cause trouble at an active arcade?
If the foam does compress overtime, I am more than willing to take time to reapply new foam. If we want our machine to be the best it could be, of course we need to put in the effort and if it means getting the sensor balanced to get there, why wouldn't we do it?
I find that there are more pros than there are cons to this proposed change. Pros include: better performance, simply process, and overall better feel. Only con I can think of is that, it might take all of 1-2 hours to balance the sensors.
IF ANYTHING, at least we need to rotate the arrow panels.

This would be your best short term option. It's been working great on Null's machine
