Maybe shove the row of machines to the left about a foot? I am just guessing, have not seen what happened there, but guessing the big crane, that needed to move left 10, inches may have caused the problem?
I would have to move the Big Crane machine to the left but I obviously can't do that, haha.
I played today and couple kids got on the Typhoon machine and I could not hear anything other than screaming and the Typhoon's music, it was absolutely awful. I could definitely see this become and issue because during the weekends the Typhoon machine gets packed full of kids/adults and gets rather crowded in that area. Even when the ITG 3 machine was about 4-5 feet away from the Typhoon machine people would stand so close to me when I would play (player 2 side), I can't imagine what it would be like now...seriously, people will do anything to get a picture of their kid screaming...
On top of that, the small crane machine that is directly to the right of the ITG 3 gets a good amount of players too. I'm afraid that when the arcade get crowded, people will start climbing over the ITG 3 stage when there are players on the ITG 3 machine because most people are inconsiderate...
Above all, it is the screaming and the music that comes out of the Typhoon machine that I can't handle. It is near impossible to play when it is running at this point because adults and kids alike...when they scream, they SCREAM...

I like the pump machine where it is. Mostly because of the darker area and corner location.
Exactly. Thats why I would move it. The pump machine is great spot but its trying to balance out both. When I go back out there I will re-evaluate things see if we can come up with something to benefit both machines though if you majority of your scene plays ITG then I would consider it. Thats just my personal opinion. We had this is back in Rocky Mount so we ended up moving the DDR and ITG machines to the back of the arcade inside of Putters

Honestly, to be able to have the ITG 3 Machine moved further back into the Arcade wouldn't be a terrible idea, or at least a re-adjustment of the machines around the ITG 3 stage/cabinet.
The only issue at the moment would be the Big Crane machine, Small Crane machine and the Typhoon machine.
When people are playing the Big Crane machine they need to be able to see where the claw is from all sides and, believe me, they won't hesitate to jump on the ITG 3 stage to check. Right now the ITG 3 stage is about 3 inches away from touching the Big Crane machine and the ITG 3 cabinet is literally touching the Small Crane machine that is located to the right. The Typhoon machine is so close to the Player 2 side its ridiculous. When people are using the ride, it is nearly impossible to hear anything coming out of the ITG 3 speakers...that is saying a lot considering the ITG 3 machine pumps out music! I just can't imagine what it is going to be like during the weekends...
I remember Allan request the Typhoon machine be moved further away from the ITG 3 machine but now it closer than ever.
All in all, I hope the ITG 3 machine is relocated or the Typhoon machine is relocated to help alleviate this problem.

Unfortunately, it's clear that it would be considered very rude of you guys to tell the brats to back off the machine yourselves, but seeing as I, myself, am still young enough to not be labeled a "rude adult" and to not give a horse shit about being rude in general, I would very much enjoy actually shouting at the little snot-nosed runts to GET OFF THE MACHINE WHILE I (or anyone) AM ON THE MACHINE.

Yes, this old man tightened up that whole wall of games today. Got Typhoon and everything else down the row from it moved to the right by about a foot. Hope all is well now. :-)

Well, we also can throw a buck Tonys way, so maybe your extra cash will make the bribe, LOL's. Our tech's cannot do it. In fact, they are instructed to saty out of that computer since it's Tony's brain child and we would likely F it up.

Just a quick repost...
Tony I will pay you to put a couple pack on the machine.
Speedcores 1, 2, and 3
Trancemania
All the Cirque Du *Blank* Packs
Updated Sharpnel Packs
The new Tachyon Packs
Also if you could add new CMods, at least up to CMod 900, that'd be great. The ones at ACME are outdated.
Thanks

I'm sorry but that's ridiculous to pay someone to add songs to a machine and few extra mods. That machine is nothing special other than its a OpenITG Linux arcade build with a few tweaks because anyone that has hacked any machines knows that the linux version was better to use but had some issues with it. (Yes, I've have hacked machines with OpenITG Linux,Windows, and the original right after the lawsuit) I'm sorry I just can support something as paying someone to add a few things to a machine. That is my personal opinion on this subject.

I think you misread that. Tony is not paid to do any of that. He is the one person authorized to work on that machine to avoid the "too many chefs in the kitchen" scenario.
APHR is simply asking him because that is how it is supposed to be done. I don't see anything about paying him to do it anywhere. Did I miss something?

Suko, I get you have to request for songs to get added we did the same on the east coast for our dedicabs. I'm not sure if I got full story 100% but from my understanding this Tony guy isn't really around anymore, so how do you get adding songs or doing routine maintenance accomplished? Granted, I'm new to the scene in north west area since I've moved here and don't mean to step on toes.

I am not sure where you got the impression that Tony isn't "around" anymore; he just doesn't check the forums unless his attention is specifically directed at them because of the overwhelming amount of whiny, entitled posts that were previously being directed at his attention.
APHR's post, on the other hand, was very polite and friendly, and I'll make sure he sees this thread and adds some packs ASAP.
And I'm pretty sure both Bill and APHR were joking about the bribe thing, dude... Not to mention that you probably don't want to call Bill, the owner and operator of all of the machines at ACME Bowl, out on the way he operates his business.

I know that Tony is a busy guy and can't always be at ACME putting packs on the machine, but it really would be nice to get some new packs/mods every once in a while. The last pack that was added was DOWNS 4 and before that it was Sharpnel/Pendulum (roughly 8 months ago). There are so many new/old packs that we, the players at ACME would love to have. I believe the West Coast is falling behind the players from the East Coast, Mid West, etc. because we aren't keeping up with the times. ITG/DDR has shifted drastically to becoming more about stamina and foot speed, and less about flare, dancing, and routines (not to say that this style is any less important).
The last tournament we had here in the PNW, the IWSS, was a huge wake up call for the PNW. Players from the East Coast, Mid West, blew everyone who played at ACME out of the water. Players like Ian (Archi Velflex), Pro Alex, and Dirk completely dominated everyone, and I believe this is because they are able to practice difficult and challenging step charts.
Even players from Oregon, like Andy and Evan are regularly passing 16's, 17's and 18's because they have access to difficult and challenging step charts. They have the ability to keep up with the times and keep up with new content that is being released.
I've done everything I could in terms of hardware. I've re-modded all the panels and they are now functioning better then they ever were. This was to keep up with the times, to keep up with the new generation of ITG. Again, we are shifting...no, we've already shifted into stamina, foot speed, "limit does not exist" style game-play, and foam modding the pads was one way to keep up.
I just think everyone would benefit from new content.
As far as paying Tony... If that's what it comes down to get this guy to help the community and put some new packs on the machine, then that is what I will do, even Bill agreed to "throw a few bucks" his way. It is just hard to get Tony's attention to help with adding packs/mods/etc.
Suko, as you mentioned, he is the only person authorized to work with the computer, but when it takes months at a time to get 1 simple request met, I find that to becomes an issue. I acknowledge that Tony built the computer and we are all grateful, but because he built the computer and because he is the only person to be able to add packs/mods/etc. to the machine, isn't that more of a reason for him to be more attentive to the communities requests?
I hope Tony sees our cries for new packs and helps us out!
Thanks in advance Tony!

Laura, as I stated I don't know if its 100% or not about the stuff I heard about this Tony guy. Now as far as calling someone out I have no issues calling anyone out but as far as how runs the machine that's all up to him. Hell, if he offered to ever to sell that machine I would have no issue getting the money just because I spent countless hours working on them from installing sensor, fixing broken components on the machine such as the USB ports, getting a onwer of an arcade to hold 24hr lock-in for the community while I was out at the arcade at 7am cloning the ITG HDD for the place then installing my own HDD that was ready to go filled with songs, etc etc...This machine is truly nothing special but I do enjoy the game and willing to drive about 1hr+ to get there just to play because of the community. As far a people being whiny and needed..well that is normal I had that happened to me as well anyone else that has ever hacked a machine before.

Throwing more packs on the machine tomorrow morning, provided I can find them. This brings me to an important point - if you want something on the machine, I'm not going to hunt it down for you... I need a working link to the pack. Call me lazy if you want, but I view it as a simple courtesy - you make the task simple (and consistent) for me, and I can take care of it faster, since it's less work.
Second issue - as noted, I'm not on the forums much anymore. Most pack request come through this thread, which means I have to parse through a lot of noise (i.e. non-pack posts). We had a pack thread for that reason, but people didn't make that much use of it.
I think a lot of the responsiveness issues can easily be fixed by making the whole process easier all around. I'm going to go ahead and set up a customized (i.e. heavily stripped down) issue tracker and rig up some email hooks as soon as I have a chance. If you want a pack added to the machine, you'll either have to send a message to acme.itg+trac@gmail.com with a link to the pack or I'll set up a email generation form on the forums here, and your pack request will be turned into a work order on the issue tracker, which will also result in me getting an email on my phone, that way I actually see people's requests.
Secondly, once I have the issue tracker set up, I can use the same server to set up remote access and then I don't have to go to Acme to make changes unless the machine entirely refuses to boot.
Anyway, as for the general topic of my responsiveness, my view is fairly simple. With regard to major failures, I am essentially on-call - get a message to me that the machine won't boot, and I'll get to Acme within 24 hours. As for everything else, I have no Service Level Agreement with the community or Bill - I've made no promises about turnaround times. As I am not a stamina player, I don't actively keep on top of the new stamina packs, and have to be told they've been released and people want them.
That all said, if somebody does want to guarantee turnaround times, I'd be happy to draft up an SLA and charge appropriate market rates for my time.

You'd best step the fuck off, Jacob (for others' reference: Ifc.NiNe). I don't appreciate you trying to break into someone else's cabinet for self-serving reasons, much less insulting and harassing my friends, and I will go out of my way to get you into shit if you so much as consider doing either of those things again.

Obviously there is some hostility- I sent you and Laura both a message but I feel a public apology is needed as well. Laura, I do apologize for say "Do you have crush on the lad" I didn't mean it offend you by any means. As I said in the message I'm naturally an asshole. Nextly, as far as me messing with the cabinet. I never actually got access into it before I could a fellow by the name of Ben told me about the guy name Tony which I heard negative feedback on so I spoke to him and he said he didn't feel comfy enough with anyone touching the actual machine so I left it alone. Hopefully this water under the bridge. Anyways, my apologies again to you Laura.

Err, don't know if this is a good time to ask, but if you go to ACME tomorrow, I'd like to request that you please at least remove that entire "Kevin" pack because there's a few songs that the machine will not run properly and I don't want other people to accidentally choose a song from it and waste credits.
Thanks in advance!
