I seriously need to go back out and play...sadly I have been avoiding the place like the plague due to the pads.

Chris, good shit on getting the pads in working order with the few hiccups alone the way.

What's this? Chris, Abbye, and Jacob all want to conquer the Trancemania pack? Better start training on my FA, the 130-150 BPM range is my forte!

Pretty much have to rip it from Abbye's hands... and, man she has a tight grip on that pack...  Shocked

Yo Chris, hit me up if you want me to meet you at ACME one night this week with the key to the machine.  I can put some credits in there so we can test.  Smiley

Some people want the stage modded and flush, and some people don't. I got to comply with popular demand, and that is flushing the stage. About 70%+ people who play at ACME would rather the stage be flush, otherwise I would have ripped all the modding out by now and had it return to default to save myself the trouble, haha! Hopefully, I can get the stage back to its former glory and have everyone be happy who play on the them.
I always thought it closer to 50/50...
Personally, I'm in favor of whichever makes for an easier and more consistent reliability with the pads. At present, it might even be best to have 1 flushed and 1 unflushed side.

I guess the reason I didn't have 1 flush and 1 unflushed was because people have side preferences.

Only reason I thought the majority wanted the stage flushed was because of who I see often and who tell me that they enjoy the stage modded.

As of right now, the stage will remain modded due to popular demand.  Angry

Hey Laura, thanks so much for offering to help us, really means a lot to both Abbye and I!

We are going today to try to just completely fix the stage once am for all! But if somehow we can't get it to work, we would love to take you up on your offer! Grin

Just got back from ACME after working on the stage for a couple hours. I reworked the stage both Player 1 and Player 2 just a little bit. I didn't notice much of issue with the Up Arrow on the Player 2 side not holding properly after the fixes. The Left Arrow was fine when I played with it today, but I reworked it nonetheless and it appears to be in working order.  Smiley

If there are any issues that arise, I will obviously be there to fix it ASAP. The stage has been a little shaky lately, to say the least. I've been trying to figure out the best possible solution to having them function properly for the past 3 weeks. This is the closest I've gotten thus far to having them at 100%. I hope the rest of you feel the same way. I will continue to work on them this week to get them to be 100%. It is the small minor details at this point, for example... 15 layers of tape versus 16 layers of tape, haha. It is just hard to pinpoint exactly what is causing miss triggers with such tiny details.

Right now, the Up Arrow is the only tiny issue on the Player 2 side as far as I can tell. It doesn't respond very well at 175+ BPM, maybe around 80% working order. The Player 1 side is probably around 95% working order, which is a huge relief for me.

I'll go back tomorrow to continue working on them.  Smiley

Thank you Chris and Laura and Tony so much for all working together to keep the machine in working order.
Many of us are very grateful for it, and I truly appreciate you guys keeping the cab alive.
Honestly, it's like my only source of fun left.

Of course! It is my pleasure to keep this machine at its peak, at least the hardware portion. I know it hasn't been the best as of late, but it is still the best cab around. Going back tomorrow to continue working on it.  Roll Eyes

I'm really concerned there could be an I/O board issue or something if the pads truely don't respond properly depending on the frequency/bpms? Like seriously, we should post this issue on AIJ. I have a spare PIUIO card we could use to test on the computer end at least. I also have spare floor I/O boards from my pump pads we can swap in to test out. I might be down to do this over the weekend.

Just got back from ACME today and worked on the stage some more. It is working decently well at the moment, but again, it isn't the best. I'm up for anything at this point, I just want the stage to be perfect again.  Sad

I feel like its oversensitive. Not a hardware issue. I took some lights out of my pump stage to use on acme and I'm going to put them in tonight. This should help your pad debug speed greatly Smiley

Just a quick heads up on the ACME machine...  Sad

It decided to crash today and when the machine turned back on, an error message appeared saying that something has changed, press any key to continue. Obviously, we can't press any key to continue, so we need someone to come out to "press any key" for us!  Tongue

I left the machine turned off considering you can't get to the game anyways. Undecided

This is what it says:

"The system has experienced boot failures because of overclocking or changes of voltage. Last settings in BIOS setup may not coincide with current H/W states."

Hope it's not a bad thing! Shocked

Well, yet again, it becomes a waiting game. If you are driving far to play, don't bother today, save your gas... Undecided

If it is something simple that I can take care of, please let me know how to do so and I'd be more than happy to fix it.

Yes, our techs looked at it last night.  Looks like it may need Tony's help?  Or a keyboard to get beyond where it's hung up?

I understand the error message, but cannot explain why it's happening. The machine's running an i3 (it's not even possible to overclock, the processor doesn't support it) at stock voltage. I haven't changed those settings and the BIOS is password locked, so nobody malicious could have done anything.

Anyway, I'll take a look tonight - probably just needs a reboot or the pressing of any key, and then it'll work fine after that.

From some quick searching, it seems this is more common for memory overclocking than anything else. Is there any chance you bought memory rated at a higher clock, and then set it to that clock rate (or had it set to auto, which would clock it higher on its own)? Apparently for this board, anything over 1333Mhz is considered overclocked by the BIOS.

Awesome! Thanks for going to check this out for us Tony. Think it'll be possible for to play tonight, or should we expect to play tomorrow?

You aren't going to the DDR/ITG tourney this weekend in Oregon? or right after coming from Oregon, you'll go to ACME?
